This apartment is located on the central street of the Saint Louis Island: rue BUDE,a peaceful residential street , in the middle of the Seine River in the 4th Arrondissement ,(5 bridges to cross the river) which is the most famous and prettiest area of CENTRAL PARIS. A Prestigious address for a BUDGET TRAVEL stay on Ile St. Louis, Ideal spot for rental vacation in Paris. All Paris's points of interest are within easy walking distance.The area is full of Restaurants and gift shops . The Cathedral of Notre Dame, the Latin Quarter, the Marais, Centre Georges Pompidou, St. Germain Area, the Louvre, Musee D’Orsay, Bastille, are a few minutes walking distance from the apartment.Taxis may come in the Island.

This apartment is compact with an EXCELLENT LAY-OUT , a lot of character,wood ceilings ,stone on the wall ,tastefully decorated, very typical in St. Louis Island.
It has been restored in 2007.Extremely CALM, it opens into courtyards.
It is possible to rent a bicycle and leave it in the courtyard.

  • This really is the perfect little apartment in Paris and is a real find. It is perfectly situated on the charming St Louis island with everything you need on your door stop. There is a fromagerie, chocolate shop, bakery, lots of restaurants and a very handy supermarket. The small apartment itself is just lovely and excellent value for money with charming decor. Thanks Annie for all your help. The apartment was fab.

  • If there's a better location for a visit to Paris, I can't imagine where it would be. Ile St. Louis is a perfectly self-contained village within the city, and a charming one at that. Just around the corner is a fully stocked market, a boulangerie, a fromagerie, a creperie, several restaurants, and the best ice cream in Paris! The little flat at 8 rue Budé is a quiet little island of tranquility and a perfect base for walking anywhere you want to go in Paris, or catching the Metro or RER. And it's hard to imagine a more gracious and considerate hostess than Annie. When my wife and I return to Paris — and it won't be nearly soon enough — we will definitely stay at 8 rue Budé again if it's at all possible. We feel particularly lucky to be able to refer to 8 rue Budé as our home in Paris.

  • As noted previously by others, the studio is quite small but well thought out, comfortably decorated and well furnished. It is perfectly located on the Ile St. Louis and was quite easy to reach on the Metro from Charles DeGaulle Airport. We enjoyed our stay very much and recommend Annie's studio to others looking for a perfectly located home base!

The location is superb -- right in the center of Paris -- and we can't wait to have a return visit, Annie!!!

  • My wife and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary and Christmas 2008 at Annie's studio in rue Bude, and could not have wished for a more romantic setting. With its exposed stone wall and ceiling beams, the studio is charming (although, as others have commented, quite small) and Annie has decorated it tastefully and equipped it completely. Ile St Louis is thoroughly charming and perfectly situated in the heart of Paris, within walking distance of the Louvre, Notre Dame, the Musee d'Orsay and many other attractions, as well as several Metro stations, yet is a haven of peace and quiet. And last but certainly not least, Annie was a complete delight to deal with.

  • We stayed in this comfortable apartment November 19th to November 27th, 2008. It is perfectly located in the very center of Paris. The room was very clean, the bed is very comfortable, and the washer was a nice luxury. Located on a very quiet street, it's essentially a nice hotel room with a kitchenette. All utensils are included which is handy. We often purchased food for snacks from excellent specialty shops (fromagerie, boulangerie, etc) on Ile St. Louis which are mere steps away from the apartment. Nearly everything in Paris is within walking distance from this location. In all, this apartment is a great value and we would not hesitate about staying there again.

  • I stayed in Annie's apartment for six days. It was small, but in a wonderful location. The small island of Ill Sainte-Louis was a perfect spot inside Paris. The metro is right beside the apartment and was an extremely easy way of transportation. The apartment also had everything one could need inside it: a small kitchen full of plates, pots, and cutlery; a large bed; bathroom; a television; and multiple books about Paris. Not to mention how incredibly lovely Annie is, and how helpful she is. I highly recommend this apartment to any travelers of two.

  • We stayed in the studio apartment for two weeks in October. The location is amazing. We were able to walk to all but the farthest locations e.g. Sacre Coeur. The RER and Metro and Batobus are easily accessible. It was wonderful to return to our own charming apartment each day. Although small, the apartment is well equipped and is toasty warm when the weather becomes cold. There is always hot water for long showers. We look forward to returning.

  • We stayed at this lovely apartment for two weeks in September of 2008. The location was perfect and we were able to walk almost everywhere. It is a very nice and spotlessly clean studio. Anne was very helpful which was great. We also enjoyed that the Ile was very calm and quiet. The apartment itself was quiet as well. We will definitely be back.
