Location: Bozeman, Montana, USA (5 mi to Bozeman, 4 mi to Airport, 90 mi to Yellowstone Park) View Map

Accommodations:  House, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath (Sleeps 4-8)

Located in the Outlaw Country equestrian subdivision north of Bozeman, you may enjoy sunrises, sunsets, outdoor activities, or just peace and quiet. It has private river access and hiking trails. Cross country ski on the property, roast marshmallows on a campfire, dine on the patio, or relax in the 900 sq ft main room.

You are far enough away from town for star gazing without interference from city light and close enough to have pizza delivered. We are actually closer to Bozeman restaurants, shopping centers, and super stores than most Bozeman residents.

Close to Bridger Bowl ski area (30 minutes), Big Sky ski area (60 minutes) and Yellowstone Park (90 minutes). You can set the DVR to record your favorite movie, set the oven for time bake, spend the day skiing or at Yellowstone Park, and have a relaxing evening waiting for you when you return.

This 1500 sq ft addition is new and located above the 3 car garage. This guest apartment has a separate entrance and offers our guests total privacy. Our pricing allows smaller groups to stay in this large facility for less expense than staying at a motel and eating at restaurants. We also have a crib, playpen, and high chair for younger families.

Business people can enjoy all the benefits of home while staying in the Bozeman area.

Ideal for graduation parties. Larger groups have the parking space for many cars. Three cars will fit in the garage and many more can park outside. The patio is 9' by 50' with seating for many. The fire pit allows groups to enjoy a campfire together and roast marshmallows for s'mores. The covered patio allows groups to be outdoors in the rain.

Day groups larger than 8 need prior approval and no overnight guests beyond 8. There are 34 houses in this equestrian subdivision and we need to advise large groups of the subdivision rules.

Horses are quiet animals so you get the benefit of peace and quiet as well as the rural Montana feel. We have seen deer, fox, and numerous types of birds (eagles, hawks, quail) in the back pasture.

Outlaw Hideout with Private River Access

Year Purchased: 2008

Why the Owner Chose Bozeman

We moved to the equestrian subdivision in 2000 and originally decided to build an oversized garage onto the house and found the cost of the second story was minimal for the additional space. In November 2008, we finished the apartment and decided to offer it as a vacation rental since it has a private entrance.

The Unique Benefits at this House

The people who have been in the apartment comment on the exceptional views. One picture window faces the sunrise over the Bridger Mountains. The other picture window faces the sunset over the Gallatin Valley and lights of the cities. Sitting around the campfire and roasting marshmallows while telling stories makes wonderful memories. Sitting in a rocking chair or glider under the covered porch, even in a rain shower, is very relaxing and the rainbows are awesome.

D
Lewis and Clark Caverns

(Move map west to Three Forks)Ranger led tours through these huge undergound caverns. Very unique formations with interesting stories.

E
Yellowstone Park

(Move map south) Geysers, Mud pots, Boiling rivers, Hot springs, Canyons, Wildlife, Lakes, Waterfalls and much more.

Owner's Map of Bozeman

My wife and I love the Bozeman area and have been here since 1980. It is close to so many recreational activities that we try to take advantage of them as much as possible. The benefits of living in the equestrian subdivision are the trails by the river for walking or riding. You can see the open spaces that provide privacy and quiet and the river in close proximity. Our 3 kids are raised and living around the country and we have one grandchild.
