We spent eight days at this very nice Garden District apartment. It is as the overviews states and we were very comfortable staying here. The updated kitchen was a plus which we used for some meals. Lots of room for two people. Joe the manager (a good guy) was there when we arrived and was very helpful during our stay. We utilized the public transportation frequently as the St. Charles streetcar was only one block away. I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to friends or family. My husband and I spent a week in NO and loved this apt. and its location. Being only a block from the streetcar was most convenient. The apt. was clean and nicely decorated. The apt. manager met us when we arrived and shared with us many wonderful things to see and do while visiting. We especially enjoyed Surrey's for breakfast! Without hesitation, we would recommend this apt. to others, and if we are ever fortunate enough to return to NO, we will definitely stay here!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway.

Perfect apartment for the week stay for me and my husband. Newly renovated with every amenity, but still retained old new orleans charm. Location right off St. Charles was ideal, loved walking around the neighborhood with huge mansions just south of st. charles. Is also a short drive to a large rousses(sp?) grocery store with good organic selection.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+.

We had a wonderful time here for Mardi Gras. The apartment was in a perfect location...one block from parade route! Loved people-watching from the large front porch. The apartment was large enough for air mattresses so it could accommodate children or teens. And Joe the Property Manager was fabulous!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We loved this place and hope to use it again. It is beautifully restored, well maintained and very clean. The location is great. Joe, the property manager, was easily accessible and responsive. The property is as listed, described and shown in the photographs, just like it is - only better. The photographs cannot capture how nice it is.Did you find this review helpful? Stayed here from 8/24 - 8/27 while bringing my daughter to college at Tulane. Everything about the place was perfect. Apartment in HUGE! Very well appointed and very comfortable. A short half-block walk to St. Charles and the streetcars. Five blocks from Magazine Street. Quiet despite being on a corner. Only bummer was having to leave one day early to get out of the way of hurricane Isaac! Will most definitely be looking to stay here again and am very much looking forward to a larger family gathering in November in the owner's three bedroom apartment upstairs! Bravo!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We stayed in this spacious one bedroom apartment for a month from mid-March to mid-April. In that month we got to know NOLA quite well. The apartment's location made that particularly easy. We brought our car but for the first week we found it easier to take the St Charles streetcar which is just one block away. The apt is actually one block north of St Charles and the true Garden District and as you go further away from St Charles the neighborhood gets a little funky - but then that is part of the charm of New Orleans. We also brought our bikes and our location allowed us to bike upriver to the Audobon Park and Zoo, which is well worth visiting, as well as to the French Quarter and the Marigny Faubourg. (Biking is really the best way to see Marigny.) After the first week we started using the car more as we found out where you could park without paying thirty dollars per day, the going rate in the French Quarter, and we traveled to the two golf courses in town, the Museum of Art and even further out to the swamp walk in Lafitte National Park. We cooked a lot in the well-equiped kitchen and found that the two locations for Rouse's supermarket were quite convenient. (We couldn't believe how tasty and how inexpensive the fresh shrimp were at Rouse's.) If you have watched the HBO series Treme, or if you know New Orleans, then you know that the second-line parades are a must and we were able to walk to the start of two of these from our apt. There are a lot of free concerts, some in Congo Square and some in Lafayette Park and again it was easy to get to them. Finally a word about dining. Comander's Restaurant is very close by and it is an absolute must. Walk there for lunch and get the same food but at less than half the price of the dinner menu. You will love the 25 cent cranberry martinis there. One glitch in our stay was that the internet went down half way through our stay. I'm sure that is fixed by now but you might want to check. The bed was great, the shower good, the dishwasher and washing machine good, the HD TV-Radio- DVD really convenient and the kitchen, as I said, quite complete. (By the way tune the radio to WWOZ- it;s like visiting Jazz Fest every day.) All in all a very relaxing and enriching stay.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway.

We loved this unit, it is close to St. Charles St., so easily accessible to the trolley which can take you almost anywhere. The apartment is nicely appointed, with beautifully redone kitchen and bath. The photos accurately show the apartment's appearance. The owner was extremely helpful and quickly responded to our emails! We would highly recommend this fantastic property for your weekend get away!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We were a larger group that had an amazing experience in New Orleans, but the icing on the cake was returning to our beautiful rental house. Perfect location in the city, plentiful parking, amazing accommodations, and absolutely delightful hosts. Impossible not to capture a unique and wonderful experience in this exceptional home. We can not wait to stay there again. We stayed here from April 16 to 23rd 2011. The house itself is amazing with great hardwood floors, big jetted bath tub full kitchen and laundry as well as a very comfortable bed. The location is very convenient for getting around New Orleans and within minutes of the streetcar stop. I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone visiting New Orleans.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway.
