My wife and I's recent one week stay at your Shashimi Apt was perfect. This was the perfect Paris location. As first time visitors to Paris, we appreciated the convenience to so many must see locations. We like to walk a new city as much as possible to experience the differences in them and this was easily done from this location. If we return to Paris (as I'm sure we will some day). We would certainly rent this location again. Once again, thank you for a smooth rental experience.

Recommended for:Sightseeing, age 55+.

Great location - very central to sites, transport, food, shopping. Funky area for night life or weekends. Compact, very well-designed apartment on 1st floor - lift available for large luggage items. Quiet, accessible street. Photos make the apartment look larger than it is but very well set out - separate room for kids, space to read/play, free wi-fi. Park and playground very close. Kitchen well designed and all essential items available. Didn't use the oven or microwave but fridge and stove were good. Only one bathroom to share but boys enjoyed the shower/bath arrangement. Lots of storage. Very clean and well maintained place to stay. Owners instructions covered everything and were easy to follow. Great choice for 2+2 family. Price matched quality.

Quiet, Convenient Location Apartment

My wife and I stayed there with three teenagers (17, 15, 13) the first week of August. As the previous reviews for this apartment are accurate, I'll just add in a few additional thoughts to assist with your plan to stay at this really great apartment. Access to the RER is within a 5-10 min walk to the entrance on Rue Berger (this entrance is closed at "off" hours) or the entrance on Rue Pierre Lescot. The #1 Metro line station of Louve/Rivoli (corner of Rue de Rivoli and Rue du Lourve) was a 5 min walk. The #1 line is a great central line to get places...with connections to other lines which is very easy to navigate. I never felt unsafe in the neighborhood even though we usually came back later at night. The heating element in the washer/dryer combo wasn't working when we tried it on Monday, but a phone call to InBeau had the dryer fixed by Wednesday midday. The washer part did fine (small loads by US standards), but the dryer part is very underpowered. Allow extra time for drying, or right around the corner on Rue Saint-Honere there is a laundromat with dryers if needed. Right around the corner on Rue Berger is a food market. The area around Rue Berger and Rue Pierre Lescot has lots of eating places. Free WiFi. There is only one toilet. Everybody liked the bed they slept in. The lighting for the mirrors in the bathroom and shower were a little frustrating. The front door key must be turned 2 1/2 times to get the door unlocked (took us 10 min to figure that one out! Ha ha). Takes about 10 min to figure the shower out as well...no worries. Refrigerator small by US standards (you can see it in one of the pictures between the counter and the sofa). Good security...there are three secure doors to get through before arriving at the apartment door. The windows don't open to a street, but into a type of courtyard surrounded by other buildings...we left several windows open at night and didn't hear any noise...very quiet. Quite Paris Apartment, excellent location

We spent 5 days in Paris in June, 2011 at the "Sashimi" apartment. We were a group of two adults and three teenagers. While the apartment is not large, we found the space fine for our needs. The beds were comfortable. Our youngest was on the sleep sofa/futon which while not as soft as the real beds, was adequate for sleeping. The apartment had a single shower which you had to climb a set of stairs in order to enter. It was unusual, but perfectly functional. The kitchen is nicely appointed with modern appliances and a complete supply of plates and glasses. The weather was cool when we were there, so I cannot comment on the temperature controls. Two things especially stand-out about the apartment. One, it was very quite both at night and in the morning. There was no noise at all coming from either the street or other apartments. Second, the location is just really great. There were a variety of restaurants right outside the door, I visited an excellent bakery two blocks away to purchase a fresh baguette every morning, and we made frequent visits to a small market just around the corner that carried fruit, water and wine. Also, the Louvre and Notre Dame were both a short walk away and a large metro station (located in a shopping mall) took less than 5 minutes to get to. This Station had a stop for the RER train to GDC airport, by the way, which was the fastest and least expensive way to get there. Finally, the process of reserving the apartment, paying for it, checking in/retrieving the keys and checking out was easy, fast and convenient. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay at the Shashimi apartment.

Central, quiet, convenient space for families

This apartment was the perfect choice for our family of five (children 15, 12 & 9) during our stay in Paris. We were within walking distance to several metro stops, the Louvre and shopping, not to mention plenty of eating establishments that were located on quiet, pedestrian only streets. Our two girls slept in the small 2nd bedroom, while our son pulled out the futon located in the living area. We took advantage of the appliances, doing several loads of laundry, and utilized the free wi-fi to catch up on homework and email when we turned in each evening. Directions for everything were outlined in a booklet left by the owner. The facilities were modern and clean, with the highlight for everyone being the walk up shower. Because we had a large family, we had to work around the one shower and privacy issues since the shower was located in the master bedroom - but we managed. Communication with the owner was quick and responsive. The only improvements that I could possibly think of to add to the apartment would be an additional mirror or two near an electrical outlet and a few digital clocks.

Our family very much enjoyed our stay at your apartment. My children (8 and 6) enjoyed their own bedroom, and loved the elevated shower. Check-in and check-out were very easy. The location was great, and very central to several metro lines and close to so many great attractions. This was our first experience with a "non-hotel" vacation rental, and would absolutely do it again. We would certainly stay in this location when we return to Paris, and would recommend it to friends without hesitation. Jason - Minneapolis, MN

This was an amazing apartment in the 1st err, you can walk every where in the center of the city and transportation anywhere else is easy. The apartment was exactly as described, it was exceptionally clean, well kept, beautifully designed with lots of storage and a sleek functional kitchen. It was actually a bit larger than we expected based on the previous review, not a grand space but a bright livable streamlined city apt with high ceilings and large windows. Although 6 people would tight for my space needs, it is fine for up to 4. The bathroom is small with a tiny sink and a toilet. The shower is a large dramatic room with multiple spray heads and a sink. It is located in the master bedroom with a wall of glass and stairs leading to it, which might be awkward for some situations but for us it was an extension of an incredibly romantic stay. There are a total of 3 sinks in the apt so there was never a problem if some one needed a sink. The appliances and fixtures are high quality and there was a well documented booklet with step by step instructions that simplified their use. We stayed for a week and were on the go every day and every night. Frequently after having a large lunch out, we would eat a lighter dinner in the apt which was an excellent opportunity to sample and prepare the incredible treats from the nearby markets on rue Montorgueil. We would definitely stay here again, it defines pied-à-terre.

This apartment is in a great location. Close to shopping strip, metro stations, Louvre, restaurants. The apartment is smaller than it appears in the photos but the space is well utilised. It has everything we needed. Owner was very helpful and gives clear instructions. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Paris and would happily rebook here.
