This property, the ranch, has been in our family for four generations. We recently built this lodge "away from all noise of the world" on purpose. It is my family's favorite place to be together and make memories. Indeed, one of the challenges is to keep it available for rent to you on holidays etc. because my immediate and extended family love it and always want to be there!

This lodge is so beautiful. Very roomy. The views are breathtaking. It is so quiet and peaceful. Close to Moab, but away from all the crowded roads and tourists.

I have to say your place was absolutely a perfect fit for my family. We had plenty of space, enjoyed a fire each night, loved the deer in the morning, and took in some of Moab (hiked Delicate Arch, enjoyed a half-day river run, Canyonlands, Dead Horse Point, etc.). Our kids loved the game room and the adults enjoyed playing games on the big dining room tables. The foosball table didn't have a ball, though, so we used a golf ball. The commercial-sized fridge was great because we ate breakfast and dinners at the lodge as a family and it was easy to keep everything cold. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes and spices. The only issue we had was tripping the breaker and the owner was very prompt in returning my call to tell us where the circuit breaker panel was. The lodge was clean and welcoming, and there were plenty of beds to sleep everyone! This isn't easy to do considering my family reunion involved 27 people. Having a laundry room was a bonus. Some of my group thought the 40 minute drive back and forth into Moab was a little long, but personally I loved it because my toddler snuck in a nap! I would highly recommend this place to anyone, in fact, I already have!

Loved this secluded cabin

Spacious, beautiful with plenty of room. The bathrooms were big and very clean. The kitchen was fully stocked with all we needed to cook. We had 6 families visiting in the cabin. We all had our own bedroom. We didn't feel like like we were roughing it at all. I give it 5 stars without hesitation!

Perfect Getaway!

I have spent over 14 days in the past year at Hidden Oaks Lodge. It is a great place for a large extended family to vacation as well as a great place to hold a retreat! We love the area and enjoy the wildlife (deer can almost aways be seen right outside the windows). I hope to spend more time there this year. It is a beautiful lodge!

Excellent Family Getaway!

We stayed there with the whole extended family in the fall. All of the aunts and uncles and too many kids to count and there was plenty of room! The location is spectacular with incredible views in all directions. We did some mountain biking, fishing and horseback riding. We also went hiking and visited the many arches and rock formations and parks in the area. A great place to stay with a large group. Lots of room indoors and out. A wonderful area to visit and the lodge makes a great home base.

"Sanctuary" Retreat

Guest: Justin (South Jordan, Utah)
Date of Stay: 09/08/10 Review Submitted: 02/08/11

I live in the city, but love the country and especially the mountains. I stayed at the Hidden Oaks lodge last summer with wife and kids, siblings and their families - about 25 of us in all. The experience was amazing! The lodge is large, but quaint. While having plenty of space to accommodate everyone, it also has space enough for private conversation while the kids play in the other room. Although the lodge is so secluded that we could only see one other light at night, it also has a large flat screen TV in a room big enough for everyone to watch a movie together. We visited the nearest arch (looking glass rock), rode horses, mountain biked, hiked, and fished in a lake above the timber line, all within a 15 minute drive of the lodge. During the 4 days we stayed, I personally counted 15 deer - just from the window of the lodge! If you are looking for a private wilderness getaway with the amenities of home, look no further.
