Come relax at beautiful Lake Gaston, North Carolina. Cozy, three-bedroom, two-bath, cute, lakefront cottage located on widest part of one of the most beautiful coves on Lake Gaston (Poe Creek Cove, southeast quadrant of lake). Beautiful, newly painted, custom-built home has huge deck with gorgeous, ~180-degree, water frontage view from living room and master bedroom. Flat, grassy lot offers a very easy walk from house to dock. Huge dock (completely rebuilt w/ composite decking in 2008!!) is perfect for fishing, swimming or tying up your own boat with a water depth of approximately seven to eight feet off dock.
Bring your boat, jet ski, water toys, sunscreen, and fishing poles for a fun, relaxing time with your family and friends. Shoreline of lot has nicely-built bulkhead offering for a well-kept, clean waterline. Ideal property for swimming and water activities. Owner to provide use of 14-foot tandem (or solo) kayak for renter's use. Boat rentals are available at local marinas.
Cottage is very clean and nicely decorated with open living room (w/ surround sound DVD/CD) and full wall glass doors for awesome views of the lake from inside. ALL NEW appliances in 2007!! Home is located on quiet cul-de-sac of very nice, paved subdivision with convenient access (3.5 miles) to groceries, gas, restaurants, etc. Access to subdivision boat ramp can also be arranged for renters (combination to lock required for gated access). Lake Gaston is one of the truly superior lakes in the country, located in the piedmont area of northern NC and southern VA. It covers 20,300 acres, 34 miles long, and has over 350 miles of shoreline. The lake has very little water level fluctuation year round and has the highest water-quality rating in eastern USA (NC Stream Sanitation Commission, A2 rating). Lake Gaston is well stocked with game fish including striped and largemouth bass, bream, crappie, sunfish, and several varieties of catfish. Lake Gaston has an average depth of 40+ feet (~80+ ft. deep near eastern end at dam).

We were first-timers at Lake Gaston & had never seen the interior of the house. We were very pleased to find such a pleasant, clean & well-equipped vacation place. Excellent maintenance is apparent inside & out! Last fall we saw the outside - the beautiful waterfront set-up - that was our interest. Now, after 2 weeks of exploring, we haven't seen any site more attractive. We were very fortunate to have found "900". We swam everyday, usually 2 or 3 sessions. It's great. Hope we may come here again.

Yet again another fantastic vacation here at the lake. We fished, tubed, swam & fished some more. The weather was nice although a little bit on the hot side, but nothing like spending those hot days floating on a tube in the lake. The kids had a blast & just love it here. All the comforts of home wrapped up in this gem of a place. Thanks for letting us make another memorable vacation here at Lake Gaston! Hope to be back again next year.

What an absolute treat!! We loved every minute. We brought our boat & believe me it was put to good use. We fished & fished. Jon was up at 5:30am two mornings. We even fished off the dock at night. The lake is just beautiful! We both have been under a great deal of stress lately - but we both feel refreshed now. Thank you so much. We want to come back. The house is very homey! P.S. We had a fantastic time. Weather was great until Friday afternoon. Had rain that afternoon and most of the night. You have a very nice place and everything a renter could want.
