A dream vacation home in Steamboat Springs, Co. less than a mile to the base of the mountain. Our three bedroom, three bath townhouse also has a bunk room/den and a loft and easily sleeps ten in beds. Three TVs with cable and DVD. Our mountain vacation home includes a fully equipped kitchen and full size washer/dryer. It is ideal for large families or multiple couples. Everyone can enjoy privacy with each bedroom and bath on its own level.
Our townhouse has been completely remodeled and recently redecorated. It has hardwood floors, new carpet, granite kitchen counters, and new appliances. The decor is warm and comfortable with leather furniture and luxury linens. It is a great place to call home while on vacation.
Parking / Bus / Steamboat: We have plenty of parking, but public transportation is also available to take you to the ski village or downtown and always brings you back to our door. If you want to eat out, the bus stop is just across the street and arrives every 15 minutes. Then, you are just a couple of minutes from Gondola Square. Steamboat has incredible eating, shopping and two movie theaters.
Locker: In the winter, enjoy access to our heated locker at the base of Gondola Square and a 30% discount on all ski equipment. I have carried skis for 3 kids and believe me this is a luxury for a Dad. Just leave your boots, skis, poles, and helmets in the locker at the end of each day. You'll be able to wear your comfortable shoes to and from the mountain, and best of all no skis to carry home! The locker is in the lower level of the Sport Stalker shop and rental, just across from the lift ticket office. If you need additional storage, The Sport Stalker stores rented skis for free or we also have a secured ski locker on the back patio of the townhouse.
Summary: We treated our family to Christmas Holiday in Steamboat Springs in 2000 & 2002. Those memories will last forever and are the reason we finally bought our own place in Steamboat. Our townhouse is so warm and relaxed we now vacation in Steamboat as often as possible. When we aren't using it, we are so happy to be able to share it with you and your family. Steamboat Springs is a great vacation location for all seasons. Just minutes to hiking fishing, biking, horseback riding, hot springs, botanic garden and many shops and restaurants.

The condo is comfortable, close to the resort, and well appointed. We found the layout to be wonderful for a three family vacation, allowing room for kids to play and adults to relax. All features of the condo are modern and clean. Further, the shuttle bus stop is right across the street. Easy access to the amazing glades on Steamboat. The owner was extremely helpful, easily reached, and anticipated our every need. I would highly recommend renting this property!Owner response: Our townhouse is arranged on 3 main split levels offering separation and privacy for families. The "bunk room" is perfect for the kids with twin beds that split duty as sofas during the day. The kids get their own TV with DVD player and the parents get some peace and quiet.

Super modern and clean place, and the owners are great! The bus stop across the street and ski locker at the base were so convenient. We'll definitely be back! Thx!Owner response: Many of our guests take advantage to how close we are to the free Steamboat Springs shuttle. It takes you straight to the ski area in about 5 minutes and it is literally just across the street from our townhouse. The ski locker at Gondola Square is another convenience that we offer. We provide all our guests access to the heater locker room with a dressing area, restrooms, water fountain, and locker to store skis while staying with us. It sure beats hauling all that gear back and forth from the ski area every day.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us! For others reading the reviews, these owners were responsive and super helpful with ideas and suggestions to make our trip perfect. Loved the modern conveniences and the fully stocked kitchen so that we could prepare our meals at home without the primitive nature of some rentals. My husband really appreciated the Weber Grill. Beds were comfortable and linens/towels amply supplied. The condo was so pretty that we enjoyed just being there as much as any of our activities. The restaurant suggestions on web site were spot on. We liked the Cottonwood Grill so much that we went back a second time with friends. The condo is close to everything so we enjoyed hiking from the top of Gondola and biking along the river. There is much to do in Steamboat. We will definitely return soon!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Like our guests, we have also been VRBO/HomeAway renters, so we have a good feel for what our guests want from their rental experience. Overall we had a fantastic stay. The condo has been well updated, and is in great shape. It's also a great layout for housing a bunch of people. Steamboat was wonderful, as well. We had only two concerns. The first and most significant was that the pool was closed the entire time we were there. We have kids, and had chosen this property in large part because of the pool; we wouldn't have rented anywhere without a pool. But the whole time we where there, the pool was closed, due apparently to some kind of chemical imbalance in the water. This was extremely disappointing. We'd all been counting on pool time. The second concern was that the upstairs, master bedroom was very warm - little airflow up there. The fans helped, but it was still warm. The lack of the pool, though, was devastating.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+.
Owner response: The summer of 2012 has been extremely hot and dry. Most of the time, A/C is not needed in Steamboat Springs. However, this summer has been unseasonably warm. The upstairs bedroom gets the warmest, so we have recently purchased a portable evaporative cooler to help with those few warm summer days. Now that we've made this purchase, I am sure next summer will be unseasonably cool. Unfortunately, swimming pools require maintenance from time to time. There was a chemical imbalance that had to be corrected which required the pool to be closed for four days. Our maintenance company worked as quickly as possible to restore the chemicals and get everyone back in the pool. I would have been disappointed, too, but it could not be helped. It is rare that the pool is closed.

Property was everything promised and more. Easily accomodated our two familes with room to spare. Easy access to slopes and town via shuttle. Spotless. Montie was a dream to work with and patiently answered my endless questions. Our stay at the townhouse for a family reunion was wonderful. It was fully stocked with anything we might have needed and instructions were available for everything. Its location on the shuttle line was convenient as we had family members staying at different places in town. Our party of 10 had plenty of room and the kids loved the pool on a hot week in Steamboat. All in all, we loved our stay and look forward to going back. Our girls softball team played in a tournament in Steamboat and 1/2 the team stayed here. The unit was absolutely perfect, the best we have ever rented in over twenty years of traveling. The interior was great with bedrooms on three floors and the kitchen was large enough that no one felt crowded. The den was a wonderful place for the adult chaperones to relax while the girls watch movies in the living room. The patio was very nice and the pool right out the back door was the best! Never before have I had an owner call during the trip to see how things were going. What a great touch. The listing is accurate but doesn't really show how fantastic the property is. If you are looking for a wonderful large condo in Steamboat I highly recommend this one!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We love getting to know our guests and enjoy helping with their vacation plans. We want our guests to think of our mountain home as their's while using it. We have three grown children, a two year-old granddaughter and a grandson on the way. We can't wait for the grandkids to hit the slopes!
