Read the reviews on VRBO. This is not an old ski lodge but instead a new building with luxury furnishings overlooking the Yampa River. The pictures on the listing are a little old and don't include recent furniture updates.

Winter, Spring,Summer or Fall you can have it all! Waterside Village, a mixed use building, is conveniently located in downtown Steamboat Springs on Yampa Street. This beautiful, condo is situated directly across from the river and famous Howelsen Hill on the quite side of downtown.

The stunning new library is a 1 block away and a stroll through the park or swim in the Yampa river. Waterside Village Day Spa, where you can pamper yourself, is located in Waterside Village. Art galleries and local museums are a short walk away. The newly renovated Old Town Hot Spring pool and gym is about 6 blocks away. You can walk to the downtown Chief Theater to see some local talent. And of course there are fabulous restaurants at all price levels all within walking distance.

During the summer you can watch folks raft, kayak, tube and fish the Yampa River from the deck, or walk 400 yards to the famous “C” hole and watch kayakers perform tricks. At low water the “C” hole is a wonderful place to sunbathe and swim (remember to practice good river ethics). Throw open the windows of the Master Bedroom and listen to the roar of the river at High Water. You can join the bike and walking path that runs along the river for miles without having to ride through traffic. If you are playing a baseball game at Howelsen Hill you can cross the bridge 2 blocks away and be at your game. The rodeo, Weekend Farmers Markets, many great Summer Festivals and free concerts are within walking distance.

In the winter you can view the Lighted Man during Winter Carnival or watch Olympic Ski Jumpers train on the newest jumps from the great room and deck. If you are here to ski the Free local bus is a short ½ block walk and a 15 minute ride to the slopes; faster then driving and parking yourself. One Stop Ski Shop is located in the same building, so picking up your rental skis is super convenient. When you are finished skiing and enjoying the mountain you can easily and safely enjoy downtown Steamboat with its live music, great food, fun shops and friendly, lively atmosphere.

Of course you can just hang out around the cozy fireplace and watch one of the four flat panel TV's, a DVD or play some games.

No need to worry about parking because we have a private garage! This is a fabulous location to explore all that Steamboat Springs has to offer without worrying about driving and parking.

This is BEAUTIFUL condo, delightfully furnished with an eclectic, contemporary, warm feel. Highlights include:

• Over 1750 sq feet, 2 levels inside.

• High end finishes. Granite and walnut wood floors.

• The Main floor is an open living concept. Everyone can be part of the action!

• All of the furnishings are like new including the linens. Soaps are all included.

• Gourmet, well stocked kitchen has solid granite counters and stainless steel appliances. Basic spices, soap, paper towels and other helpful items are provided.

• Gas fireplace, TV, DVD player, books and games are located in the large living room with views of Howelsen Hill.

• All bedrooms located upstairs.

• Very Large Master Bedroom overlooks river. The attached master bath has a large Jacuzzi tub. King Bed.

• Large Secondary Bedroom with a Pillow top Queen Bed. The room is large enough for an air bed if you desire to sleep 9.

• 3rd Bedroom has Queen bed and a twin.

What makes this townhome unique

Downtown overlooking the Yampa river with unobstructed views. The location is truly the best and awesome for all seasons. Private garage and plenty of parking. Because there are no buildings or bars located across the street, it is much more quite and you get a great view of the river; but it is a short 2 blocks to the action.

The owners and staff try their best to meet the high expectations of visitors. The unit is awesome and little things like the private garage, best soaps, lush beds, extra cable channels, high quality television make a difference.

The location in downtown Steamboat is unmatched espcially with the sound of the rocks rolling down the Yampa river.

Don't be fooled by the low rate when compared to other units. We pass on the savings that is usually paid to management companies.

A great mountain getaway! The condo is ideally situated in the downtown area and the first stop on the shuttle from the airport. The unit was fully stocked as a home away from home. The views of the mountains and river are accessible from every room. All shops and restaurants are just a few steps away and it is great to have a natural food store in the same building. The slopes are a short 10 minute free bus ride away without having to park a car. The springs pool is within walking distance and a great way to relax at the end of the day. The owners have paid a great deal of attention in providing a comfortable stay.

Downtown Steamboat with every ammenity

This condo has everything you need and want, right in downtown Steamboat. We went tubing from our back door, fell asleep to the sound of the river and were able to walk with our dog to 3 different places for coffee in the morning. You can't beat it!

A well appointed property with a great view close to town

What a wonderful home! It suited our active family of hikers, fly fishermen (and women), shoppers, and diners. We hope to be back in the winter as well. Everything was superb!

Great location, close to downtown but enough off the beaten path to be quiet.

Nice finishes. Great master bedroom. Kitchen let us cook and grill most meals and enjoy time together.

Deck a little close to the neighbors but has a great view of the river.

Spa downstairs, bike rental next door, close to restaurants!

Beautiful location, condo could use some tweaking.

Nicely appointed condo, good appliances, kitchen necessities and gear all provided. No vases for flowers! Saggy overused sofa atop an incredibly shedding area rug. Please fix that. Bath linens were worn and stained, but the bath products were local and luxurious. Sheets on master bed were ragged and actually torn at the top. Unacceptable at this price point. No hotel would use linens that far gone. Also, light blocking drapes would be much appreciated in all bedrooms. Vacationers don't always want to awakened at sunrise by glaring sunlight through the mesh roller blinds. Balcony overlooking the Yampa was a delight at all hours, the grill functioned quite well. Location is quite convenient to both trails and shopping/dining. Garage parking a plus, but please replace the keypad opener. It's nearly nonfunctional. Would stay again, but only if these items noted were addressed.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your review. We appreciate your feedback and always strive to improve our townhome to maximize your comfort and satisfaction. Please check out our photos of our new leather couch, area rug and bed linens. Our previous couch was only 3 years old, but we think this new, top-of-the-line leather couch will hold up even better than the last one. And it is so comfortable! My 5-year-old son loves to sit on it, rub his feet on the new, soft area rug and look out at the ski jumps across the river. All our linens are new as well! I'm not sure how ripped linens ended up on a bed, or how stained towels ended up in the bathroom, but we have replaced all of them, so we should never have that issue again. The master bedroom has room-darkening curtains, and we will have curtains for the smaller rooms in the next few weeks. There are blinds already in place, but we want everyone to feel comfortable. The windows are so large that we need custom coverings for them! Once again, we apologize that our townhome was lacking in a few areas during your stay, but please visit again and check out all our improvements. And thank you for the 4 stars!
