Our 'Knotty But Nice' cabin features the perfect blend of rustic and modern with all the amenities that you will need. Escape the city to one of the few true log cabins in the area. Our cabin is located in the beautiful Pinetop Country Club on a heavily wooded 1/2 acre lot. Walk out the back door and into the National Forest where there are miles of forest to explore while hiking, mountain biking, running, and ATV riding or enjoy the forest from the large covered wrap around deck with a brand new flagstone patio with outdoor seating. In addition, two mountain bikes and horseshoes are available for you to use while at the cabin. Very private and peaceful location with easy access year round and only minutes to shopping, dining, and Pinetop festivals. One mile to golf and horseback riding, 5 minutes to Hon-Dah Casino, 30 minutes to Sunrise Ski area.
The 20' cathedral ceiling and tall windows in the great room provide plenty of natural light and the cozy wood burning stove will keep you warm on chilly mountain nights. Our cabin is beautifully decorated with new wood flooring, new furnishings (including mattresses!) and new kitchen appliances. There are 2 bedrooms on the first floor (1 king log bed, 1 queen log bed) along with a full bath. The huge master suite (1 king log bed) in the loft has a reading area and en suite full bath. For additional sleeping, the futon in the loft sleeps two and there is plenty of room for the kids to play in the loft too.

Having 2 master bedrooms was very nice since we had my parents wanted to stay in a cabin with us. The set up was perfect for us. The kids liked staying with grandma and grandpa too. The house had the basics of everything. It was very nice. The first floor master could use a better mattress, but that would be my only complaint. We had a fantastic trip and cooked at "home" every night. It was so nice to come back from the slopes and want to get cozy and stay "home". We will stay at this cabin again. Thanks for the great trip! :-)Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: We're very glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to having you as guests again. There truly is no better way to complete a day on the slopes than a nice warm fire and hot meal in a mountain cabin. I'm sorry the matress was not to your liking, it is less than a year old and all the guests we have had thus far have reported they slept comfortably on it. We continually solicit feedback in order to ensure guests' satisfaction and appreciate your input. Thank you again for staying at the Knotty But Nice cabin and please come stay with us again. Sincerely, Mary Jo & Glenn

We had such a great time at your wonderful cabin! Everything was clean and beautifully decorated. The flagstone patio was such a treat to sit on, drink coffee and listen to the wind blow through the tall pines. The description was accurate but still did not do the cabin justice. We loved our stay, thank you so much!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this genuine log cabin, with spacious accommodations in a luxury environment. The upstairs loft provides a nifty, private suite with its own bathroom. As promised in the ad, the cabin backs up to national forest land for extra privacy. The neighborhood is first class. We felt very secure here. Above all, we loved the location that provided quick and easy access to Pinetop stores and amenities, as well as to area lakes. We look forward to staying here again in the future!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

From the moment we walked through the front door we knew this is what vacations are all about. Loved the high cellings and all the natural light. It had a very inviting open floor plan that flowed very well with lots of usable space, and we never felt cramped. The decor and furniture is upscale comfort and very attractive. The wood floors and walls make it very inviting. It has a fully apointed kitchen with all new appliances. It was easy to cook in and we also used the gas grill. Everything was spotless. The two main floor bedrooms are a good size , with beautifull handcrafted beds. The mattress was so comfey, no troubles sleeping here. The master loft and bath made for a spacious and comfortable retreat. I was a treat to sit on the wrap around deck and enjoy a glass of wine, and listing to the breeze in the pine trees. The setting is just lovely with a sense of privacy but not isolation. We also enjoyed sitting out at night and star gazing, the air is so clear. It was also a bonus to have a washer/ dryer available. I am looking foward to booking this again soon and would definatly recomend it to my friends. The owner was very helpful in answering my questions. It was hard to go back to realityRecommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: I am very happy that you enjoyed your stay at our cabin. We do our best to assure your vacation is pleasant and enjoyable. I look forward to you staying with us again! Sincerely, Mary Jo & Glenn
