This is OLD Georgia, the way it used to be..quiet,
lots of wildlife and in the woods.

Spoil yourself with ultra thick feather padded beds,and feather comforters. Snuggle up with the wonderful fire place in the master bedroom, or the fireplace in the living room.

This Farm house style cottage is tucked away on 13 total acres and is a wonderful place for a special occasion or romantic get away.

VERY EASY ACCESS TO RIVER ..NO STEEP DROP OR LARGE AMOUNT OF STAIRS.
Has over 1200 feet directly on river, wooded left natural, still OLD GEORGIA with dirt road and lots of woods and wildlife.


2 Kayaks supplied in warmer months, free firewood for fire pit by river

Tubes are supplied in the warmer months for free. We even have a tube run, and 2 rope swings..great swiming area.
And always free fishing. Great Shoal Bass and Trout, brim, catfish

There is a large flat rock to sit on in middle of river right in front of this cottage, perfect for lounging in the river.

Summer months are filled with family fun! So much to do at the cottage you may never leave.


In the master bedroom you can open the french door and snuggle in the hammock for two on the huge porch over looking the river!
It has a large hot tub tucked in a secluded spot on the screened in porch with a rock wall behind it.

The Garden Cottage is done in an old farmhouse style inside with boarded walls and high ceilings.
French doors in every room open up to the huge porches with river views.


Wildlife comes daily and you can watch the deer and wild turkey in your back yard. (not to mention Marshmellow the bear, who makes an appearance now and then)

Good fishing, bass and trout!
It is also an easy grade to the river, NO steep drops as with many homes in this area and our cottages are the cleanest in this area!!

Screened in porch has a large hot tub, iron garden furniture with cushions and pillows,Also has huge bath with 2 pedestal sinks and shower/tub combo.

Half bath, and full laundry is on 1st floor.

This cottage will have all you will need to make a special weekend or your family vacation the best!!

  • This romantic get away is unbelievably relaxing. It has every amenity one could ask for and has a relaxing presence that makes you feel like your at a home on its on little island. This place will forever hold a special place in my heart, because it is the location that I chose to propose to my fiance. I am truly glad I did choose this location, because there is fun not far away if you want to get out of the house or if you want to stay in the house it has everything to maintain a fun, tranquil, and romantic time.

  • We enjoyed our Valentine's weekend at the Garden Cottage. We had a wonderful time, and our 4 year old daughter fell in love with the hot tub. She made us get in at least 3 times each day (I think she would have slept in it.) My only regret was that it wasn't cold enough to snow or warm enough to swim in the beautiful river in the back yard. I would recommend this cottage to anyone wanting a quiet, relaxing getaway. My husband enjoyed watching racing all weekend on the Speed channel, and I was thankful for the wireless internet since my verizon wireless wasn't getting a signal. Beautiful farmhouse and countryside in the secluded woods of N GA.

  • Our stay at the “Garden Cottage” is one that we will never forget. The cottage was so beautiful, the pictures online are good, but when we walked through the door it took our breath away because it was so much more than what we expected. We loved the seclusion of the property and the stream so close by, even though it was to cold to swim. However, it was cold enough light the fireplaces at night which made it even more relaxing and cozy. The two large porches were great for sitting while having morning coffee or relaxing in the hammock during the afternoon. Nancy was very kind and when she learned that our main purpose for the trip was to be married, she offered her garden for our ceremony! She also gave us great recommendations for local restaurants where we got a bit of a history lesson about the area form one of the friendly patrons. Our two dogs immediately made friends with Yonah, Nancy’s dog, and he kept them entertained the entire weekend! I believe they were just as sad to leave as we were.   • We just arrived back home on Sunday, Oct. 14 from staying in the garden cottage on the river for 4 days. It was wonderful! Everything was so nicely arranged and nothing left to want. The beds were very comfortable and the porches were great for relaxing. The cottage was very convenient for traveling to areas of interest--Dahlonega, Helen, Cleveland, Dillard, etc. We hope to return in July for a whole week.
