Your mountain cabin was a great place to host our girls getaway weekend! Such a peaceful setting. I loved watching the birds come to the bird feeder on the deck. One day e had a picnic lunch and hiked along the Ocoee River while watching white water rafters go by. Definitely something I'll do on my next trip! It was nice to get away from it all AND have all the conveniences of home AND be able to sit on the deck marveling at the mountain vistas.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.
Owner response: We are so happy you got to explore the Ocoee Whitewater Rafting center. The river is only 20 minutes from the front door and offers 30 miles of hiking and biking trails, along with rafting and kayaking on class 3 and 4 rapids. There are so many fun things to do around, so you MUST come back and raft sometime, hike in the Cherokee N.F. and the Nantahala Forest. Fannin County is famous for fly fishing also. All conveniently located minutes from the cabin. Wishing you many happy returns.

This home was all that we hoped for - a great place for a group of women to get away, relax and enjoy the wonder of the mountains. I especially enjoyed all the flowers that were blooming. It seemed I noticed more and more each day, in part because my paced slowed and my spirit expanded. The porches were great for starting the day with a cup of coffie and seeing the "smoke" on the mountains expand and then receed - it was as if the mountains were breathing. It took my breath away! I also REALLY enjoyed the hot tub each evening - it soothed away all the sore muscles from hiking. I hope to return over and over again! Thanks so much to the owners for explaining how everything worked and all your suggestions for making this a wonderful get-away!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Thank you so much for the lovely review. You have expressed so perfectly the way that I feel about the springtime here at the cabin. Everyday nature reveals a new wonder, and thankfuly, I learn something new about this fascinating area. Just yesterday, there were hundreds of flowers falling from the maple trees out back. Drifting through the air. We were amazed, for I never knew these trees bloomed flowers in the spring. Beautiful flowers everywhere, falling from the sky. Today we discovered the "John Muir Trail". It was in Reliance. Tennessee, about a 45 minute drive from the house. This famous Naturalist walked from Kentucky all the way to Florida. He wrote "The Mountains are calling and I must go." Todays walk on this trail named after him, reinforced my love for his writing and for the healing power of nature. We hiked it for miles along the Hiawassee River, and some of the wildflowers were as tall as me. Just another new thing to experience in the area. It was a joyful day. We visited a historic town, watched rafters, tubers, and kayakers meandering down the Haiwasee. Last night we went down to the community ponds, and enjoyed the colorful plants , sat on the swing, and watched the trout feed. We do hope you come back and can spend some time by the waterfall and the pond. Another great way to unwind and relax after a nice day. I can not think of a way to bless this home more then having a loving group of woman like you all share your time and energy here. I am grateful you were able to visit. There is so much more new things to explore, so please come back soon. It was a pleasure to have you here/

Fabulous House!!! This cabin is so perfect for a getaway. It is spacious, decorated beautifully, and has so much to offer. The bedrooms are so pretty, with great new mattresses and super soft linens. Each bedroom has a lovely mountain view, its own flat screen t.v, a bathroom and resides on a separate level for privacy. Each bedroom also has a private screened porch to enjoy. We love the kitchens open floor plan. There is lots of room and everything you need for a gourmet meal. The cabin sits on a beautiful piece of property, very private yet so convenient to things. A nice flowing creek is close to the house, you can hear it running from all the bedrooms and porches. It soothes your soul , plus, you have your very own private nature trail. There are many great amenities. We played pool, board games, watched some of the 100 dvd’s provided, soaked in the heavenly hot tub, and relaxed in the rocking chairs watching the birds feed from the feeders provided. We did not want to leave and want to go back again as soon as we can. What a great place. We absolutely loved it. Thanks for sharing this special place with us.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
Owner response: We are so happy that you appreciated all the little things that this property has to offer. We agree with you on everything. The floor plan is so nice for togetherness and offers much privacy also if you want to some alone time. The creek is so close to the house, and nice to listen to, the birds chirping and the nature path are some of my favorites also. We're happy you enjoyed the movies and games provided. The heavenly hot tub is a great description of the spa with that view. Please come back and bring your friends and family.

We have stayed in half a dozen cabins over the past few years and this was hands down our favorite. Easy access, great views, tasteful decor, well stocked, beautifully maintained...nothing bad to say, other than I wish I owned it. The owners went out of their way to provide detailed information on the area and cabin contents, including a full kitchen inventory which was helpful and gave me peace of mind as we where cooking a full Christmas dinner there. Lots to see and do in the area, we love to browse in the small shops in nearby Blue Ridge and get hot chocolate and fudge. Cabin has a short trail to a stream that runs by it that added to the charm of the property. Highly recommendRecommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you so much for the wonderful review. We were thrilled that you were able to stay at the cabin for such a special occasion as Christmas. The information we received prior to our visit was excellent. We enjoyed our short stay (4 days) very much and I already have recommended it to several people since our return home. There are several attractions and activities near. We especially enjoyed the antique shops which were just a short drive away. We hope to visit again in the Spring when the flowers are in bloom.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

By the spring we will have the gardenbeds refreshed with many new perenials, and a nice outdoor dining table. You can dnjoy the pleasent weather then, having your dinners sitting on the porch watching the sky turn glorious colors before the gorgeuos night skies apperat to bless Gods Blue Hills.
