This was the perfect long weekend for my family and I. The cabin and location was gorgeous and the communication with the property manager was stellar. We would absolutely stay here again if we’re in the area.
Everything was amazing. The cabin is beautiful. The surroundings are gorgeous. The communication was great. Steve and Deb are the best ever.!I highly recommend this beautiful place. The selfish part of me doesn’t wanna share it with anybody cause it’s so magical.!!! My only suggestion would be to come stock with plenty of food because you’re not gonna wanna come down off the mountain!
Two families enjoyed the beautiful cabin. Communication with the owner was excellent. Plenty of room to relax! We enjoyed sitting on the porch, reading or swinging. We enjoyed game nights at the kitchen table. Home is well equipped. Everybody agreed beds were comfortable. Lots of deer in the neighborhood. Good location for access to hiking and nearby kayaking, yet close enough to town to enjoy restaurants and shops. Be prepared for entry into the neighborhood, one lane narrow road and thankfully we never had to try to pass a car going the opposite direction. Steep gravel hill before the driveway that became a comical game to see if our 11 year old minivan would make it to the top, followed by a downhill paved driveway to the cabin. We would enjoy returning to the cabin.
Our family spent a weekend at the woodhaven property and it was everything we hoped for. Spacious, remote and quiet. Wonderful accommodations, game room, outdoor hot tub and fireplace. We loved it!
Woodhaven is a lovely spot. The property is adequately furnished. The snack box on arrival was a nice touch. If you want a place away from it all, this is it! There is lots to do in the area. Beds are on the soft side and laundry is heavily scented.
My friends and I had a great weekend staying at Wood Haven. The cabin was great and there was plenty of room for all. We had plenty to do and the location was perfect for exploring Blue Ridge and the surrounding area. You will not be disappointed with Wood Haven.
Everything was as described - nice location, comfortable cabin, exceptionally clean and well-stocked. Communication with the owner was friendly and informative. Look forward to staying there again!
Great place to come see the sights or just hang out and enjoy all the cabin has to offer. We loved sitting on porches listening to the birds and watching the deer and squirrels feed. Our host was always quick to respond with questions. Check in and out was simple. Would definitely stay there again.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our visit at WoodHaven with family and friends. We had a little bit of trouble keeping the pilot lit but luckily 2 of our guys were plumbers for years and could troubleshoot, and the owners were very responsive to any of our questions. Very lovely stay!
The huge screened porch was such a perk! Each floor had a bedroom and full bath. Location was excellent -- private and secluded but close to everything we wanted to do. We were really impressed.

About the host
Hosted by Steven Clark
We are a family of 4 that lives in the Tampa, FL area. In June of 2020 we took a vacation and rented a friend's cabin and absolutely fell in love with the mountain lifestyle and this area of Ga. So much so that we decided to purchase a cabin and share that cabin with the world.
Why they chose this property
After looking at tons of properties, this one just felt right. We love the sounds of the creek that runs at the base of the property and provides just the right amount of ambient background noise to make you forget about your worries and get into relaxation mode. Also we love the hot tub area. Lots of other cabins the Hot tub just feels like an after thought. At this property it seems as if it was designed around the hot tub. Once again the key feature of this property is rest and relaxation!
Also alot of the cabins we looked at were much further removed from society. This one while peaceful and secluded is less than 8 miles from Blue Ridge and also close to our favorite little town of McCaysville, Ga. Also within an hour drive is access to so many wonderful nature parks with wooded trails and waterfalls. The whole area is a great escape from the daily grind.
We hope you enjoy our property as much as we do and leave your worries at the door!
