Quietly nestled into the heart of the historic Sam Hughes neighborhood, our casita is a delightful, large and very private separate guest home sharing a quarter acre backyard courtyard of citrus trees, BBQ and pool, just three blocks from University of Arizona. Casita Gardenia is located on the quiet limited vehicle access 3rd Street promenade. Third Street is the main bicycle and walking/jogging route to the University. This limited access neighborhood of historic homes and beautifully landscaped streets is a very unique neighborhood. It’s a comfortable walk to the University, neighborhood eateries and pubs.. . so unusual for Tucson.
Our Casita, built as the original separate servant’s quarters, is located in the secluded, quiet, large and beautifully landscaped private back yard of a 1924 home that is listed on the National Historic Register and once owned by Steve and Margot Kerr, Hall of Fame UofA basketball player and current coach of the Golden State Warriors. Our home and casita are three blocks from the University of Arizona sports complex including McHale Center, six blocks from the University Medical Center and two miles, a short trolley ride! from historic downtown Tucson. It is so close to so much of what walkable!! Tucson has to offer.
This two-story casita has two large bedrooms upstairs with a full 'Jack and Jill' bathroom. Each bedroom has double French doors leading to a New Orleans style balcony with views of the Catalina and Rincon Mountains and overlooking a large pool, spa and private outdoor dining area with gas barbeque all for your use.
The fully furnished complete kitchen, eating area and tastefully furnished living room is all you will need to feel right at home for a weekend, week or several months. It is comfortable, quiet living inside and out.
