The perfect apartment
The perfect apartment
If you want to spend two nights or two months in Paris, this is the apartment. The owners were very helpful and have created the perfect spot to relax and unwind after exploring this great city. Two different subway lines within one block in either direction, make this a perfect location for accessing any part of the city. Dinner or a fresh baguette were never more than a five minute walk and yet the neighborhood was very quiet, with a lovely park across the street. The building and apartment were impeccable with every amenity you might need. Absolutely perfect.

Great place, excellent neighborhood
Great place, excellent neighborhood
Everything about this apartment was as advertised and as described by these reviews. It is cozy but large enough for two or three people. After just a few days it felt more like a home than a rental apartment. The kitchen is well equipped, the bed is very comfortable, and the views from the windows are charming, especially the front room window, a classic Parisian street scene with a patisserie down below, a small park off to one side, and a church up the street on the other side. In the morning, you can watch the city come alive as people hurry off to work. It’s a lively, interesting neighborhood with several grocery stores, shops, cafes and a few restaurants, as well as a variety of places to get good take-out food. Shopkeepers and waiters were, for the most part, friendly and helpful, including the cheerful couple who run the patisserie across the street. In the evening, it’s a nice walk up the hill to the Sacre Coeur area with its panoramic view of Paris and crowds of happy tourists, though in the area immediately around the apartment there were few tourists, making it seem like a “real” neighborhood. Teddy, the apartment owner, was prompt and clear in replying to emails, and Anais, who speaks perfect English, was there to let us in when we arrived. She gave us a detailed explanation of how everything works in the apartment and answered all of our questions. During our two-week stay, we had no problems and would gladly stay there again.

Lovely Apartment is a great home base in Paris
Lovely Apartment is a great home base in Paris
We couldn't have been happier with this lovely apartment. For the price I can't imagine a better place. The bed was very comfortable - I think more comfortable than my bed at home. The apartment seems bigger in person. The pictures don't really do it justice. There is also an updated flat screen TV (not the boxy TV shown in the picture). The shower had great water pressure and plenty of warm water. Another reviewer suggested turning the bench in the living room around to look out the window and it really does feel like you have a balcony looking onto your own little corner of Paris. The park right outside the building is great - we did the 7 minute workout there every morning. The patisserie across the street is wonderful and there were great suggestions from the owners about a couple of streets nearby with wonderful food shops of all sorts. And with 2 subway stops within a couple of blocks it is convenient to get anywhere. It is a bit far if you will be exploring all over Paris don't plan on always being able to come "home" in the afternoon and go back out. We ended up spending some long days out and about. For the price we really felt like we got a great value for money.

Owner response: bonjour C.merci beaucoup ! it was a pleasure to welcome you, we are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay in Paris Please Come again
We stayed for 5 days at this charming apartment which is very tastefully furnished and decorated. The photos do not truly reflect the size of the rooms which in reality are very spacious and light. The entrance to the building has a typical Parisian and luxurious finish to it and immediately makes one feel at home. One has a lovely view of the Sacre Coeur as you walk up to the apartment. It has conveniently access to two metro lines 4 and 12, both going to Paris's main attractions. As already mentioned in another review, it is close to 2 supermarkets and other specialized shops which sells typical French delicacies and fresh produce. The owners, Francoise and Teddy and their daughter, Anais were very friendly, welcoming and supportive throughout our dealings. Thank you for your warm hospitality. We will definitely stay here again.

exquisite french apartment
I just came back 2 days ago from a glorious week in Paris, despite catching a cold and rainy weather! We rented from Vacation Rental By Owner (VRBO.com). We rented apartment #50177 in Paris. It was a block from the Jules Joffrin Metro station from where we could access any location in Paris! The apartment was in the Montmartre district close to Sacre Cour. We paid 550 eu for the week and gave an $800 deposit which was returned in full. Fresh produce, cafes and bakeries were closeby. The apartment was very quiet. It had floor to ceiling windows facing the street but they were thermal paned and cut much of the noise. Also, there were big metal exterior shutters that when closed really blocked the sunlight for those who might want to sleep in. There was only music noise from a neighboring apartment on Friday night but it didn't go too late. VRBO.com was excellent and it was fun to explore their site. Have a great trip!

Wonderful apartment, very accommodating owners.
Wonderful apartment, very accommodating owners.
This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this adorable apartment. It is very clean. Well, we are still here with our 16 year old granddaughter, so maybe not as clean as when we got here on Sept. 26th, but we are trying to keep things as nice as when we arrived. Francoise and her husband, Teddy are very helpful. It is in quite a lively neighborhood, so we do hear so noise in the evenings, but we do not find this at all a problem. The metro is about a 2 minute walk from the apartment and we are able to get everywhere in a short amount of time. We are going to be here until Oct. 17th and again I am sure that we made the right decision. I can't imagine staying at a hotel....this is so much nicer. We love the kitchen. Fully equipped with great appliances.

Dear Francoise, Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful apartment with us. We did a lot of museums and sight-seeing the first week, and did a lot of relaxing at the apartment and enjoying the neighborhood for the second week. Our favorite neighborhood restaurants were Au Coin des Amis and the Italian place a block south of the park. We did not leave Paris, except for Chateau Versailles, but we considered going to Saint-Malo. Train tickets were about 180 euro return per person, so we decided against it. Maybe next time. Thank you again for your hospitality and we hope to see you again and stay here in the future. Sincerely, Bruce and Lori
