Welcome to CASA PALMAS, our spacious beach house is located just back from beautiful Steps Beach on Rincon's West side. A two minute walk to the Beach. The house overlooks Marine Reserve and famous big wave surfing break Tres Palmas. SEPARATE up and down villas or entire house perfect for large families.

UPSTAIRS has two bedrooms, full bath, full kitchen, living room and private veranda. Master bedroom has king-size bed plus it's own vanity and sink. Second bedroom offers one full-size bed plus two twin beds.

DOWNSTAIRS also offers two bedrooms, full bath, full kitchen, living room and private patio. Master bedroom with queen-size bed, second bedroom with two twin beds.

No smoking indoors, No pets. Private outdoor shower for rinsing off after a day at the beach. Upstairs Villa also has access to the roof terrace which offers spectacular sunrises and sunsets overlooking Reserva Marina Tres Palmas. Keep an eye open for Whales in season or watch for surfers 'riding giants'!

Walk to all west side surf breaks. The Surfrider Foundation picked Maria's Beach #3 on their top ten list. They said it could possibly be America's best-kept surfing secret. Not ready for the big one? No problem, Surf lessons and rentals are available locally.

Located right in front of the house is Reserva Marina Tres Palmas. Home to one of the largest elkhorn coral populations in the Caribbean, where you can snorkel with endangered turtles. For scuba, take a day trip to Desecheo Island, a wildlife preserve just offshore, that offers world class diving.

You can walk to town, restaurants, marina and dive shop from the house where you can also find deep sea and local fishing charters. At the point is Punta Higuero Lighthouse, home to Rincon's whale watching park and a perfect place to view the surfing at Domes and Indicators beaches.

Maybe you just want to relax on the beach under a palm tree or stroll for miles looking for shells and beach glass. Nearby you can hike, bike or horseback ride. Take a day trip to the rain forest, caves, Rum factory or maybe just go shopping.

Nighttime brings Reggae and Calypso music, happy hours, relaxed dining or maybe even a little Casino action in nearby Mayaguez.

  • We just got back from a week stay at Casa Palmas. First time in Rincon and we loved it and the house was perfect for us. We rented the downstairs apartment and it was great. I thought we'd be missing out by not getting the upstairs apartment and view (it was rented), but that wasn't the case. Downstairs was great too, so if you can't get the upstairs place, don't look further. Being downstairs worked out well for our toddler too, so we preferred it in the end. The place was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Short walk to beautiful beaches and some good restaurants. The beaches within walking distance (from 2-5 minutes depending) were a good variety, from wavy to calm (near the marina)to snorkling beach so it was great for finding good spots for all of us. And a very quick drive to get to other beaches. The nearest beach had great shade too for those who burn easily, and little pools that formed in the afternoon, great for kids. From what we could tell, it seemed like one of the nicest areas to stay in Rincon, and Casa Palmas was perfect and a very good value. We'd definitely stay there again.

  • Wow! What we had wanted and more.... We spent 8 short nights and wished we had stayed longer. We rented both up and down due to the size of our group (10). Plenty of space for all. We had group dinners on the upstairs patio every night, very pleasant with the overhead fan. Safe neighborhood, super short walk to the beach (really. Bring your snorkel gear)Take a 1 1/2 hour drive to the Camuy Caves well worth it-you'll pass a waterfall along the way.So much fun in PR-we'll return for the waves in the winter.P.S. I am picky and found the house to be great!

  • We came in June, so if you want a nice quiet place, this was clean nice and close to the ocean. We enjoyed the diving and the local people. The lack of air conditioning was no problem, lots of fans and nice breezes.

  • We stayed at Casa Palmas in April and had a great time. The weather was perfect and we did lots of snorkling just off the beach. It's a great location (near Domes and Maria's for surfing) in a nice neighborhood. We could walk to several restaurants and to Taino Dive Center. Someday we hope to go back.

  • Myself and two buddies stayed at Casa Palmas upstairs for 2 weeks after Thanksgiving. We fully enjoyed the location, large veranda, nice towels and a great kitchen to move in without bumping into one another. Playa Ensenada is the place! The Road to Happiness. Leezur

  • We had a great time at Casa Palmas. The house is very comfortable, nicely decorated and the kitchen has everything we needed. I especially loved the outside shower with the Palm tree & hibiscus paintings. Snorkeling was perfect at Steps Beach until the BIG waves came rolling in. Next time I would like to go horseback riding. It was fun watching the horses go by the house. I'd also like to stay upstairs & use the top deck. Rincon is awesome.

  • My husband, my sister and I stayed upstairs at Casa Palmas the first week of March and are looking forward to returning next year. What a wonderful kitchen -- good knives, even a garlic press. How excellent to have a large veranda! We already knew we liked Rincon, but staying at Casa Palmas made it perfect. We loved it all ...

  • Our family enjoyed a wonderful week at Casa Palmas. Our daughter and her husband especially enjoyed horseback riding and snorkling. The accommodations were comfortable and the outdoor shower is great! Next time, we would like the upstairs with the balcony so we could have a chance to see whales!

  • We loved Casa Palmas! This retreat nestled in the heart of Rincon is perfect for a relaxing getaway. Just a short walk from the beach, this place was perfect for me and my family. It is clean, comfortable and above all beautiful... The sunsets were amazing from the roof deck and meals on the airy veranda couldn't have been nicer. The beach is great and the water is amazing. I've never seen such big waves. We loved our time there and can't wait to return. We'll already planning our next vacation there!

  • Casa Palmas is always the first place I look to stay when I go to Rincon. Having traveled there numerous times, clean accomodations and convenience are number one priorities for me. It is a short walk to Steps Beach, and less than a five minute drive to any restaurant in town. The balcony is an awesome place to hang out after a long day, and the outdoor shower is great. If your looking for a private apartment to stay in Rincon, Casa Palmas is the place!
