Winter, spring, summer or fall, come and enjoy our beautifully decorated mountain home. Perfectly situated on a peninsula of land surrounded by the 7th, 8th and 9th holes of the picturesque Devil's Knob golf course at Wintergreen Resort, any season feels just right at 83 Gray Birch Lane. Spectacular views of the golf course abound whether you are cooking, dining, or just relaxing in the great room. In the warmer weather, take advantage of the huge deck overlooking the golf course. Want some quiet time? Just head for the front porch and get away from it all. Want to go out to eat or play tennis? The Devil's Knob restaurant and tennis center are just a short walk up the 9th fairway. The golf course is your "backyard" for early morning and evening walks/runs and for sledding in the winter (sleds are provided). And, if you need to work or just stay "connected", bring your laptop and connect to the internet with our wireless broadband (we also have an ethernet cable if you do not have a wireless card).

Our house is perfect for the winter. A ground floor entry into a mudroom/laundry room makes it easy to change into something warm and dry before you come into the house. A fireplace (with large TV overhead) and pool room greet you as you enter the ground floor. You may have so much fun that you never make it upstairs.

If you are a golfer, you will love this home! Walk up the Devil's Knob 9th fairway to the driving range before you play. While you are playing, you can stop by the house and say "Hello" to your non-golfing family/friends. When you are finished, everyone can enjoy a cold drink from the large back deck while you watch others navigate the course. In the evening, enjoy a stroll around the 8th hole's pond as you watch the sun go down. If you still need some incentive, our ground floor has a large extra bedroom, full bathroom and enormous "playroom" to include a pool table.

Decorated by a professional artist to provide you with the most relaxing accommodations. From the warm colors to the luxurious beds/bedding to the artist's special touches, everything has been picked to make your stay memorable. You will not want to leave.

The main/first floor includes a cathedral-ceilinged kitchen, laundry room, dining area,and large great room (with gas fireplace) with access to the deck overlooking the 7th, 8th and 9th holes. With it's own deck access, the downstairs master bedroom (cathedral ceiling and a queen-sized bed) with full bath also overlooks the fairway. The second bedroom (queen-sized bed) and third bedroom (two twin-sized beds) share a second full bath.

Upstairs overlooking the great room enjoy a second master bedroom suite (skylights in the cathedral ceiling and a queen-sized bed) with it's own full bath.

The ground floor provides easy access into the house via a mudroom that provides plenty of space to store your ski, golf, tennis, etc., equipment during your stay. The mudroom also has its own washer/dryer for your wet "play" clothes. The ground floor includes a second gas fireplace in the sitting area, another eating area, a pool table, full bathroom, and a large bedroom (great for 4 children and includes a DVD player and video game set-up). You can even keep cold drinks in a small refrigerator and make some popcorn in the micowave.

TVs are located in the great room on the main/first floor, the two master bedrooms, and above the gas fireplace on the ground floor so you can view it from anywhere in the playroom. DIRECT TV connection includes XM radio for your music enjoyment.

Outdoor activities include skiing, snow tubing, golf, tennis, hiking, mountain biking, swimming, and enjoying the breathtaking mountain views.   • This home was wonderful! We rented for a long weekend in July and couldn't have been happier with the accommodations. It is tastily decorated and there was plenty of room for 3 families. The downstairs game room was excellent, and the rest of the house was perfect for our needs. We also loved the yard and its privacy; it is a beautiful setting. The whole rental process was easy. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone, any time of year! This house was a convenient spot for anywhere at Wintergreen-we just loved everything about it.

  • Our four-week stay, beginning July 28, 2008, was wonderful. The home is well equipped, the bed we slept on was very comfortable and every appliance worked without problem. The interior decorating makes the house feel like a home and not a rental. There are two main public areas in the house: 1) main level, with expansive windows, allows views of the golf course through a light privacy screen of trees and 2) the basement entertainment area. The house is sited on the peninsula that is quite private from the golfers and adjacent property owners. We slept every night with with windows open and never had to use the AC during the day. I would give this home a very strong endorsement and encourage the prospective renter to look closely at this gem. Please leave the month of July/August for us.

  • We rented this house for the month of January and loved every minute of it. The weather did not cooperate for us in the beginning for skiing but came around later in the month; however, the house was a great location for long golf course walks and walks to dinner at Devil's Grill! Great house, great folks to deal with and would recommend it highly.

  • We stayed at this beautiful house twice this summer, and enjoyed every minute of both stays. The house is beautifully decorated, well-equipped, and well laid out, and the location is fantastic. It was great being able to walk to the Devils Knob restaurant for dinner.

  • Our family had a lovely stay at High Top during Mid-August. What a perfect location on the golf course!! We enjoyed late evening walks on the golf course and watching the golfers during the day. This is such a well designed home with great views and free-flowing living space. Our children had a great time downstairs in the game room and we enjoyed the serenity of the light-filled rooms and views upstairs. We look forward to returning next summer.

  • We stayed at this property for 5 days before and after our daughter's wedding at Veritas Vineyard. It is an exceptionally lovely property. NO addition to detail was overlooked--we immediately felt like we were staying in a model home, it is so beautiful! Although it does not have a mountain view, the house literally is surrounded by the golf course, but in a very unintrusive way. 83 Gray Birch Lane will always be a part of our fondest memories of our daughter's wedding.

  • This has to be the nicest home we have ever rented. It is sited perfectly on top of the mountain with views of the golf course. It is on a large lot and is very private. The furnishings are tasteful and include everything you can think of. We have stayed in the home twice and will go back. We highly recommend it. Less expensive than renting through the resort and much, much nicer.
