The property is completely build of brick and plastered with a thin layer of marmoline. The ceilings are made of a combination of stacked bricks and wooden beams.

My wife and me bought this apartment because we just love the Old San juan Area. We learned that we were not going to use it all year round, so we decided to start the short term rental program. We just love having guests enjoy our little piece of history as much as we do. This is our baby. Come and enjoy it!

Perfect Winter Get-Away

When my husband and I decided to celebrate our 30th anniversary with a little get-away to a sunny island, we knew that we wouldn't want to come home feeling exhausted and stressed. Located right in the middle of Old San Juan, this apartment provided the perfect location. We loved heading out each morning with only a sketchy plan of what we would do and see that day. Taking in the sights, sounds, tastes, and smells of Old San Juan for 6 days was relaxing and enjoyable. We took a cab into San Juan once, and then rented a car to take a couple of day trips. Parking in Old San Juan overnight is very convenient (and rather inexpensive) at the big parking garage down by the piers. Everywhere we went, the locals were friendly and helpful. Thanks Felipe and Damaris! We had a great time.

The entire expeience was wonderful. . We would stay with Filepe again, and hope to do so soon! Thank you again for letting us stay in your wonderful home. It is close to all the major historical places in the old city. Any where you wish to see is within walking distance.

My husband and I had the most marvelous vacation in Old San Juan, in large part because of this apartment. It’s beautifully decorated, comfortable and situated on a street that lets visitors easily tour all of Old San Juan by foot. We especially liked the way we became part of the city through its accessibility. It truly has the feel of home, the warmth of being part of a neighborhood with the trappings of a luxury hotel. Our only concern prior to renting was that the bedroom, alone, was air-conditioned, and we were traveling in the summer months. But that was not a problem. The elegant ceiling fans keep the entire apartment cool and comfortable and added Caribbean flair. As you can tell, we can’t say enough good things.

Thank you Felipe and Damaris for a simply amazing holiday. The apartment is beautifully decorated, the linens and towels are nice quality, and it is centrally located to everything in San Juan Antigua. The bed is lofted...so be mindful of that if you decide to rent here. It was not a problem for me. I would return here on a moment's notice, and I am planning to return soon! The hosts were most gracious, and willing to answer any question asked, even the most silly ones. They were very accomodating to my needs. The property is well maintained. The photographs posted are accurate depictions of the apartment. The rent is well worth it for such a nice space. Thank you for your hospitality.

My wife and I stayed at this property for four nights in March. The flat is charming, well furnished, and convenient to all of the sights in the old city. Good restaurants are just a few minutes walk from the apartment and there is a small supermarket nearby with everything one might need or want for a short stay. The owners are very pleasant to deal with and go out of their way to accomodate their guests. Having stayed at El Convento several times, I can say that this apartment is more comfortable and a much better buy than the hotel.

My wife and I stayed here 3 nights in April 2010 on our way to the British Virgin Islands. The location was over the top, and easy walking distance to everything. It is on an extremely quiet street, and you never heard any of the neighbors. Just perfect!

Felipe, Just wanted to send you this note to tell you how much my wife and I enjoyed staying at the apartment. This is truly what I imagined it to be and my imagination did not deceive me. It was everything we hoped for and more. You certainly have a beautiful place and we certainly were fortunate to experience it. The apartment is just beautiful, well appointed and comfortable. I did not get to use the kitchen since we had so many choices of great food literally walking distance. On my many trips to Puerto Rico I never had the opportunity to stay in OSJ and I am glad I did. So much culture in such a small area that speaks for itself. There is a magnificent aura being in OSJ and I was able to take it all in. I was able to see the city come alive so early in the morning and the transformation in the evening to a happening place. We hope to go back to Puerto Rico and would love to stay at Hostal del Sol again. De veras que disfrutamos todo el tiempo que estuvimos alla.
