  • Beach house rental

"My family and myself had a wonderful stay here, it was very clean and absolutely loved how it was stocked with everything we needed. Loved how close to the beach and the pier we were. Loved seeing the dolphins in the morning also. The loft was great for my daughter, she had her own private area. Back patio was absolutely amazing and had everything we needed for our time down at the beach. Highly recommend this rental and can't wait for next year."

  • The Name Says it All!

"Our family spent a week at "No Worries" over Easter break, and a great time was had by all! My kids (5 and 8) loved the fact that they had their own bedroom with a bunk bed, a couch and a TV with a DVD player. When we first arrived, they thought they'd watch a movie every night before bed, but they were so tired from hanging out at the beach everyday that they were only able to stay awake for a movie one night! The house itself is very roomy. The rooms aren't huge, but they are plenty big. My brother-in-law, his wife and their newborn stayed in the Master Bedroom. That had plenty of room for the pack-n-paly plus has it's own private bathroom. We only used the 4th bedroom to store our coolers and other belongings. We liked the fact that the Living/Dinning/Kitchen were all one big area, and the “Sun Room” was accessible via two large patio doors. It made it nice that we could all hang out there in the morning or after a long day at the beach. We could be making dinner and/or cocktails, while the kids drew at the dinning room or patio table while the others relaxed on the couch or Adirondack chairs. The “Sun Room” was especially nice in the mornings and evenings to just kick back and relax in while reading a book and/or listening to the surf. The deck was nice too, although we didn't us it as much as I thought we would. I guess being at the beach most of the day made it unnecessary to hang out there. Over all it was a very nice and relaxing week at “No Worries”. The house isn't the Taj Mahal, but for the price it shouldn't be! Nor did I want it to be! I am sure there are more luxurious places in Mexico Beach, but for us, it was perfect. I sure wouldn't want to take the kids someplace where I'd be “WORRIED” about their every move! We would definitely stay at “No Worries” again!"

Mexico Beach Travel Tips

Mexico Beach is a small coastal community located 20 miles east of Panama City Beach along the Florida Panhandle on the "Forgotten Coast." It's a serene destination on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico and offers the small-town atmosphere you're looking for in a relaxing tropical getaway. Mexico Beach is considered a "secret" vacation spot among families and some have been coming here for generations.

Nature's beauty is preserved and the beaches are full of life in Mexico Beach. Visitors can head out for some shopping or dining and hike through parks and conservancies during their stay. If you want to see the dolphins play at sunset, Mexico Beach is the place to do it. The most favorite pasttime among visitors and locals is swimming in the clear waters.

Mexico Beach Attractions

Beaches: Some of the best beaches in the country are found in Mexico Beach. The sand is made up of nearly 12 different materials and contains quartz crystals. There are no rivers that flow through Mexico Beach so the sand is pure and white, and since it's reflective it doesn't get hot during the summer. Visitors to Mexico Beach get to enjoy 5 miles of the coastline with plenty of public beach access. If you're lucky, you may even get to see a sea turtle. Five endangered species venture onto the shore in Mexico Beach to create nests for their eggs.

Diving: There's easy access to several dive sites off of the coast of Mexico Beach that are perfect for scuba diving, snorkeling and spearfishing. Visitors will enjoy the beauty of the natural and artificial reefs as well as the shipwreck sites. The Empire Mica is a wreck site that will give divers a world-class experience in 105 feet of water. There's also the lumber ship Vamar, which lies 27 feet below the surface near the Bell Shoal area. It's accessible by scuba divers and snorkelers, and is even visible from the surface.

Things to Do in Mexico Beach

Dining: You'll find everything you could want to eat in Mexico Beach. From mom-and-pop eateries to restaurants featuring live entertainment, everyone in the family will find a new favorite food. You can grab fresh seafood from the Fish House Restaurant, Gourmet by the Bay, Killer Seafood or Regan's Pub and Oyster Bar. Or you can choose to relax at Caribbean Coffee, Graba Java Internet Cafe or Sharon's Cafe.

Shopping: If you're looking for a place to shop 'til you drop, head to stores along Highway 98. There's a wide variety of offerings such as gifts and souvenirs as well as other little stores tucked away in motels and restaurants. You can find gifts at Beachwalk Beachwear and Giftware, Frost Pottery Garden and Gift and The Grove.

Fishing: There are more than 125 artificial reefs in the Gulf of Mexico, which make for one amazing fishing trip. Whether you want to hit the water along the coast or head out for some deep sea fishing, you're guaranteed to have a good time in Mexico Beach. There are three bays for launching and many of the charter boats in this coastal town offer inshore or offshore trips that include your gear and license. Some of the species found at Mexico Beach include king and Spanish mackerel, grouper, red and black snapper, mahi mahi, pompani, speckled trout and redfish.
