  • Great Place for a Litte R&R

"This home is conveniently located a short walk to the beach and pool but not so close as to be noisy. Check-in was easy, and home was spotless upon arrival. Beautifully decorated with everything you need. Love the balconies for morning coffee!"

  • Great Beach House

"Beautiful open and sunny house. Not too large of a house that the children got lost, but big enough that everyone in our party, 5 adults, 3 children and a baby, had enough space. The open kitchen/dining room/living room, with it's large windows and two story height really made the space. The kitchen was perfect for someone whose hobby is cooking. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds very comfortable. There were some extra linens and the pull out couch was good for my college age niece. The porch looked out at a beautiful marsh but it wasn't covered and we couldn't use it in the evening when the sun blazed on it without any relief. The neighborhood is quiet and beautifully landscaped. Every house was amazing. The only negative is that it is a fifteen minute walk to the actual beach. A beautiful walk, but with small children and their gear we had to shuttle everyone to the boardwalk in a car. We didn't have a wagon so we then had to push two strollers, carry all our toys/towels/food and encourage hot and whiney kids to keep walking. Consequently, there were no impromptu walks on the beach. Also, the house is about twenty five minutes from a grocery store so we had to learn to plan multiple meals ahead. Both issues can be solved with planning and the kids aging a bit. The beach area was very clean with a wide sand beach. The closest water is actually an inlet so the water was very calm, no waves at all. Perfect for small kids who can't swim. The sand was soft with shells but the shells weren't really collector worthy. This house also comes with a pass to the club house pool. The pool area was very nice and there is a parking lot for the car. However, being renters, we were allowed in only after 6pm. We were sad to leave and are definitely planning a return visit."

  • great house

"What a treat to walk in to such a darling house. While this house looked good on the VRBO website, it was even nicer than we expected. We loved everything about the house - from the bedroom set up (what I consider an old fashioned beach house "reverse set up") ...Three of the bedrooms were on the first level and one was on the "main upstairs level". The beds were wonderfully comfortable and sheets were really soft (This is always a "biggy" for me) We were three couples (friends from school) for a long weekend getaway and found the spacious open main living area perfect for relaxing. The guys enjoyed watching the game on TV and the girls spent lots of time at the card table. We found that we had everything we needed in the kitchen to have dinner at home each night (we all took turns!) The walk to the beach was pretty short (about a four minute walk) and my favorite part was that it was a part of the beach that isn't so crowded. We stayed in the Grand Pavilion area the last time we were here and all agreed that this was much more peaceful (and therefore more enjoyable!) We even got to enjoy the fabulous porch with all of the unexpected warm weather (temps actually reached into the mid 70's in January!) We do this every year and I can honestly say, I think we've found the house we will come back to every year. Thanks again for a great stay!"

  • A Terrific Condo, Value and Vacation

"My wife and I have stayed at various condos in this complex for the last few years. We just concluded our most enjoyable stay to date at the subject unit. The furnishings are outstanding, the location affords excellent views of the ocean (and surf sounds), and the local customer service team, as well as the owner, are efficient, customer focused and a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend staying at this unit. We will be back for another visit."

Wild Dunes Travel Tips

Wild Dunes Lodging Complete with Gazebo

Picture a short wooden pathway that branches off to a pool and gazebo before continuing on down to a private beach and you will be pretty close to imagining what Wild Dunes lodging can offer you. You are not only right on the Atlantic Ocean with Wild Dunes condos, you are also 20 minutes from downtown Charleston, South Carolina with all of its wonderful attractions. It is possible to spend the day at Charleston rentals filling your time with relaxing activities or walking along city streets window shopping.

Wild Dunes Condos near the Aquarium Wharf

Charleston is a fabulous city with historic tours of 18th and 19th century homes. The architecture will amaze you because of the detail and hard work put into each of these historic homes. The entire day can be spent away from Wild Dunes condos as you tour the Aquarium Wharf or old southern plantations nearby. Aquarium Wharf provides you a glance at the world's oceans and waterway systems, educating you on the various marine life species you might encounter on a scuba diving or snorkeling trip. In fact, you might be so excited after visiting the aquarium that you decide to rent snorkeling equipment to use during your stay at Charleston rentals.

Charleston Rentals and the Perfect Fish Dinner

Fishing is possible at Charleston rentals and you can either rent a boat or fish right off the town pier. Wild Dunes lodging options can help you if you decide to rent a boat, providing suggestions for the best tour operator. Locals enjoy deep sea fishing off the shores where they can catch shark, tuna, and other large fish for dinner. You can also join in this fun and bring fresh fish back to Wild Dunes condos. The accommodations provide barbecue grills for the perfect grilled fish meal.

Wild Dunes Lodging in the Gate Community

Wild Dunes is a private gated community complete with a golf course. Every morning you can wake up at Wild Dunes lodging for a day of 18 holes. Challenges vary from water obstacles and bunkers to sloping fairways and trees. For families with children, the pool and mini golf courses are perfect.
