Welcome to Sunrise on the ocean on IOP front beach. Add a cup of coffee and enjoy the morning on the balcony overlooking the impressive Atlantic Ocean. Walk straight out to the sandy beach or walk to multiple restaurants and shops within a block.

Nearby is IOP Marina to have lunch, rent a boat, jet skis, paddle boards, kayaks, or go on a parasailing or fishing adventure. Our condo is only a 20 minute ride to Downtown Charleston ranked as a top ten City in the country by Conde' Naste Traveler. There are Antebellum homes in downtown Charleston, too many restaurants to list, historic carriage tours, walking tours, ghost tours you name it. View the Atlantic Ocean from our second floor balcony and watch Dolphins, Shrimping Boats, Surfers and more! I will share that during the fall of the year the moon is directly over the Atlantic and what a view we have from the ocean front balcony. Only a few hundred feet and you are on the beach taking a walk up or down this "blue wave award winning beach."

This condominium complex claims the only pier on the Front Beach strand at Isle of Palms, and is gated and private for your fishing or relaxation enjoyment. *This unit has a full appliance package,20' range/oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, granite counter tops, under mount sink and pull out faucet. The attractive condo, decorated with a beach cabin palm tree flair is true to its name 'SUMMER SONG' as the wind seems to sing songs on the waves all through the hours, and is situated on the second floor of the center-right 'C' building, at the end near the beach, where your bedroom shares no neighboring wall or noise except the stairwell but this is generally quiet in the evening hours. The balcony is approx 5' x 13' facing the oceanfront,pool, and pier. It affords an unobstructed panoramic view of the ocean,as we are in the right bldg facing the pool,pier, and ocean. This view is also shared or available from living room and kitchen. The sunset is very nice over the entrance / back door area which also has a direct beach front view out beyond the building of most other condominiums and homes in the area and toward Sullivan's Island and Breach Inlet. We try to keep a few beach chairs & mats as we can and some beach toys for guests to use. I also have info for service that will set you up with wood and canvas loungers and umbrellas each morning.

PRIVACY! This condo also offers individual privacy. The hallway with built-in bunk beds (kids love them) closes off to become a private room for smaller guests with a night light and air/white noise machine available. The adults can then go back and forth from balcony/LR/kitchen or to BR thru the bathroom door without waking the kids. The sleeper sofa adds extra sleeping as needed. It is really cute if you use this feature! Kind of a Christmas at the beach feature.

We are just one block from the beachfront Banana Cabana, the One Eyed Parrot, Huck's, Long Island Cafe, Coconut Joe's, and many great restaurants. The world famous Windjammer beach bar offers up nightly entertainment (Great Bands) , and Buddy Roe's Shrimp Shack in Mt. Pleasant has the best Low Country Shagging (and fried shrimp baskets!)outside of OD. While enjoying the Island Life, you can go swimming, body surfing, play volleyball, dine at oceanfront restaurants, bike the beaches, jog, cruise the coastal waterway, sail, surf, windsurf, take in some live music, shop the boutiques. Public Tennis Courts and Park on Sullivan's Island (short ride from condo.) There is also a very nice beachfront public park a short walk up the beach and under our pier from the condo. It is literally a couple block over there.

Our 'new' washer and dryers are located next to the pool on the oceanfront and are coin operated on premises $2.00 quarters only, and these units are very nice large capacity front load wash & dry.

Overall it is about the beach for us with a great low tide that opens up to a wide sandy hard packed beach superb for biking, walking or running. The historical areas in and around Charleston are convenient from here too, just a short drive to the market downtown. Sullivan's Island, Mt.Pleasant,Charleston and Shem Creek are delightful. Patriots Point Golf Course (one of my very favorites golf courses and it's public) with ocean views from most of the course. The nightlife in Charleston is packed with variety and choices, my personal favorite is 'Hanks' for a wonderful white table cloth seafood dinner! There are many more places to choose from as Charleston has a wide variety of places to enjoy.

What makes this condo unique

Our private pier is the only ocean front pier on Isle of Palms. The lovely sunrise and sunsets are very special. Take a walk on the private pier and enjoy the breeze, it is so worth your time. The Isle of Palms is well known for winning the 'Blue Wave' award for cleanest beaches. Some of the criteria for that award is included but not limited to the list below;

Blue Wave beaches and destinations represent the complete beach front experience as follows;

1. Leave no trace (what you carry in, carry out)

Succinct, Simple and Satisfying

The unit is succinct - it's 500 square feet. It's simple - email, exchange information, show up, enjoy. A satisfying experience - convenient to more than anyone really needs, lots of towels, clean, and plenty of utensils in the kitchen. The view is lovely from the balcony and the front door. It's all but directly on the beach.

Not sure about the comments for appearance. The unit has some wear - it's a rental of course it does...nothing abnormal or unappealing. The cabinets are standard white front as shown. The air conditioner seemed to fit the bill.

Good feeling about the owner with his responsiveness. Unsolicited comment from the rental office upon my arrival, "we love Martin, he's so easy to work with." When the people you work with appreciate you that's a good sign.

Check in and check out were a breeze.

Only issue: everyone knows the paper towels go up and over not down and under : ).

Fun in IOP

Location excellent. Good view of the ocean from balcony. Great access to the beach. Easy access from the parking lot. Access to grocery, liquor store, and cafe's all within walking distance. You should promote the local shops, restaurants, and bars. No need to drive anywhere, they were lots of fun.

As for the condo: It was adequate only. Things that I would consider as a contractor to be looked into. 1) changing the baseboard in the bathroom. When you use the toilet you look at unsightly baseboard in the whole room. Small project, small cost. 2) The floor should be leveled and or replaced. it is tired and uneven. 3) Cramped bedroom. I would replace large dresser with something much thinner and smaller. Hard to get into one side of the bed. 4) The sofa bed has had its day. I had to use extra pillow to sit on. People with bad backs could not use that couch. 5) The tv could be updated. Kitchen and appliances more than adequate.

I believe with those upgrades you could command more rent and get more repeat renters.

I enjoyed my stay, but I was a single guy with single guy expectations.

Owner's Response: So you know I personally checked several times with our managers during your 3 week stay. Our managers told me,"they had no complaints from you?" Our property is regularly inspected independently before and after each stay and we had (43) check-ins last year. No report of not level floors has ever been written on any inspection report? Overall, we have had very few complaints on our affordable beach front rental having received 5 stars on three of the last five reviews. The other two reviews were four stars. You were there for 3 weeks by yourself so you may have had extra time to check it over. We will put these suggested items on our bucket list for asap. We're glad you managed to have a good time and liked our view, kitchen, balcony and location. We do promote the local business on our welcome letter of which you have a copy. Thank you again for your business.

Great location and views!

We have just stayed at the condo this past week. It's a wonderful location, great views of the ocean and easily accessible to a bunch of places in the area. There is a super market in walking distance which is very helpful. The condo is priced fairly. There were some updates done to the condo but can use a few things as expected when you have a rental place. Couch should be replaced or cleaned, and mattress and pillow covers should be provided. The condo can use a good "deep" cleaning especially for the price of the cleaning fee that is charged. When we contacted Martin about a problem when we first arrived he did fix it right away. When owners use cleaning companies I don't know if they always are getting what they expect. The size of the condo was perfect for my family of 4. I have toddlers and having the DVD player in the living and bedroom was very helpful. We all had a wonderful time and can't wait to visit the IOP in the future. Would be more then happy to stay at this place again with some minor fixes.

Wonderful location, great beach! The only reason for 4 stars is that the room could use some updating. This is not to imply its run down! Views are excellent.

Great location right on the beach!

This was our first time in South Carolina and Isle of Palm prefect place to start. Everyone was very friendly and helpful . The location was excellent right near the pier. My son went fishing every day:) Great beach location near a lot of history too! The condo was on the second floor so the views are great. I'm watching the sunrise right now! Also it was an easy check in. The room keys were in my name. Thanks for the stay Martin !

On the sidewalk in the Isle of Palms from here beach front no need to drive. This Condo Is Walking Distance To Sullivans Island And Fort Moultrie but it is several miles from the unit on some of the most gorgeous beach front I have seen. Fort Sumter And Charleston Harbor Views From The Shores Of Sullivans Island. Absolutely pristine beaches are right out the front door of this units with views of Sullivans and Wild Dunes. The only ocean front pier for miles is private to these units with gated access for fishing or viewing.
