I you want to drive, head over to the IOP Marina where you can have lunch, rent a boat, jet skis, paddle boards, kayaks, or go on a parasailing or fishing adventure. The condo is just a 20 minute ride to Downtown Charleston ranked top ten City in the country to visit by Conde' Naste Traveler. There are Antebellum homes in downtown Charleston, too many restaurants to list, historic carriage tours, walking tours, ghost tours, minor league baseball "Riverdogs" co-owned by Bill Murray, Waterfront park all along Charleston Harbor. Be sure to come and take time to get a great taste of the Charleston area. We can't wait to have you View the Atlantic Ocean from our second floor balcony! Enjoy the awesome views on the oceanfront! This condominium complex claims the only pier on the Front Beach strand at Isle of Palms, and is gated and private for your fishing or relaxation enjoyment. *This unit has a full appliance package,20' range/oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, granite counter tops, under mount sink and pull out faucet. The attractive condo, decorated with a beach cabin palm tree flair is true to its name 'SUMMER SONG' as the wind seems to sing songs on the waves all through the hours, and is situated on the second floor of the center-right 'C' building, at the end near the beach, where your bedroom shares no neighboring wall or noise except the stairwell but this is generally quiet in the evening hours. The balcony is approx 5' x 13' facing the oceanfront,pool, and pier. It affords an unobstructed panoramic view of the ocean,as we are in the right bldg facing the pool,pier, and ocean. This view is also shared or available from living room and kitchen. The sunset is very nice over the entrance / back door area which also has a direct beach front view out beyond the building of most other condominiums and homes in the area and toward Sullivan's Island and Breach Inlet. We try to keep a few beach chairs & mats as we can and some beach toys for guests to use. I also have info for service that will set you up with wood and canvas loungers and umbrellas each morning.

PRIVACY! This condo also offers individual privacy. The hallway with built-in bunk beds (kids love them) closes off to become a private room for smaller guests with a night light and air/white noise machine available. The adults can then go back and forth from balcony/LR/kitchen or to BR thru the bathroom door without waking the kids. The sleeper sofa adds extra sleeping as needed. It is really cute if you use this feature! Kind of a Christmas at the beach feature.

We are just one block from the beachfront Banana Cabana, the One Eyed Parrot, Huck's, Long Island Cafe, Coconut Joe's, and many great restaurants. The world famous Windjammer beach bar offers up nightly entertainment (Great Bands) , and Buddy Roe's Shrimp Shack in Mt. Pleasant has the best Low Country Shagging (and fried shrimp baskets!)outside of OD. While enjoying the Island Life, you can go swimming, body surfing, play volleyball, dine at oceanfront restaurants, bike the beaches, jog, cruise the coastal waterway, sail, surf, windsurf, take in some live music, shop the boutiques. Check out the scuba diving or go deep sea fishing. Relax at a spa or try horseback riding. Kayak, water-ski, fish, go 'Crabin or Shrimpin,' walk the beach for shells, take a sunset cruise, charter a small boat, explore uninhabited islands, play some of the South’s finest golf courses or take a look at the USS Yorktown at Patriots Point!

It is literally a couple block over there.

Our 'new' washer and dryers are located next to the pool on the oceanfront and are coin operated on premises $2.00 quarters only, and these units are very nice large capacity front load washers & drye

Why Martin Pressley chose Charleston Area

It is all about the beach for us with a great low tide that opens up to an wide hard packed beach. The historical areas in and around Charleston are convenient from here too just a short drive to the market downtown. Sullivan's Island, Mt.Pleasant,Charleston and Shem Creek are delightful .Patriots Point Golf Course (one of my very favorites golf courses and it is public) with ocean views from most of the course.You also can get on Wild Dunes which also offers. Nightlife in Charleston is packed with variety and choices my favorite is 'Hanks' for a wonderful white table cloth seafood dinner! There are many more places to choose from as Charleston has a wide variety of places to enjoy.

What makes this condo unique

We enjoy having a pier and it is the only ocean front pier on Isle of Palms. We enjoy the galley kitchen and the pristine beach views. The lovely sunrise and sunsets are very special. Take a slow walk on the private pier and enjoy the breeze, it is so worth your time. The Isle of Palms is known for winning the 'Blue Wave' award for clean beaches. Some of the criteria for that award is included but not limited to the list below;

Blue Wave beaches and destinations represent the complete beach front experience as follows;

1. Leave no trace (what you carry in, carry out)

2. Move your body (walk, run or swim)

3. Don’t tread the dunes (use a walkover or walk-thru)

On the sidewalk in the Isle of Palms from here beach front no need to drive. This Condo Is Walking Distance To Sullivans Island And Fort Moultrie but it is several miles from the unit on some of the most gorgeous beach front I have seen. Fort Sumter And Charleston Harbor Views From The Shores Of Sullivans Island. Absolutely pristine beaches are right out the front door of this units with views of Sullivans and Wild Dunes. The only ocean front pier for miles is private to these units with gated access for fishing or viewing.

Great location right on the beach!

This was our first time in South Carolina and Isle of Palm prefect place to start. Everyone was very friendly and helpful . The location was excellent right near the pier. My son went fishing every day:) Great beach location near a lot of history too! The condo was on the second floor so the views are great. I'm watching the sunrise right now! Also it was an easy check in. The room keys were in my name. Thanks for the stay Martin !

Could use some updating.

The good...Location is great. Nice view. The not so good.... We rented two units. This one is in need of some tlc. Desperately needs new flooring and some paint. Appliances could also stand to be updated. This facility also doesn't have any elevator.

Owner's Response: Third party services inspects before and after each guest. We have no complaints from this service? You asked us for assistance to rent a second unit and we provided it. Neither units advertised Elevator access? We like our "Armstong Allure" planks installed in one direction throughout in 2012. Our ceilings were re-done smooth March 2017 and look fantastic with crown moldings in all rooms. Except for the entry hall, our entire Condo was re-painted in a high grade taupe Eggshell in March of 2017! Upon personal inspection in August 2017 it seems you reviewed the wrong condo? We spent more than $8000 on our unit in February 2017 giving it a total cosmetic make over. We added new light fixtures, new fans, upgraded electrical and have one of the best HVAC units available . I have called you twice and left voicemail to discuss your "not so good" remarks but you won't pick up the phone or return my calls? Clearly, we have had mostly 4 and 5 star ratings this year.

Little effort

Little effort put into making this small

Condo nice. Floors dirty, appears swept but never mopped. Duct tape on everything that would move. EVERYTHING has the room number written on it with marker. Top/bottom written on bed linen. And written very large in the middle of the item. Condo number on pillows, cleaning supplies, decorations, etc... only 4 towels for a week. Ice maker didn't work. Not enough curtains on windows, making it difficult to keep light out when they would not close in both thebedroom and Living area. Oven temp higher than setting. Duct tape over hole in carpet on balcony. There were a few things upgraded so without those it would have been really bad. I guess it was OK for the money but definitely a disappointment.

My record shows this review was submitted July 2,2017 at 2:17 AM yet you stayed in the middle of June? We get feedback from our professional third party service that cleans and inspects our unit before and after each stay. We have no comments like these from our professional cleaners or inspectors? We advised you up front that "Charleston County" requires us to dump ice every change over. Prior to your arrival this year we spent over $8000 on updates including ripping out wall paper, painting, smoothing ceilings, adding new light fixtures and electrical not to mention our cold HVAC. I have called you twice and left voicemail to discuss your opinions & rating but you won't answer or return my calls? You have our only 2 rating in 6 years!. Thank you

Convenient and just about right

Working with Martin was a breeze. He was very responsive and helpful. The property itself was about what I expected. Small, needs some maintenance and upgrades but it was still comfortable and the location was great. The public beach access is right next door to Sea Cabins and so is the public beach parking so that particular area of the beach can get really crowded. I was happy with our stay and would recommend.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the feedback we are on the move to get things updated this fall and winter. We did remove wallpaper & paint and did new light fixtures this year. We spent over $ 8000 in cosmetic including our smooth ceilings. Since you noted the public beach it is my pleasure to note that our cabin is on the other side away from the public park. There is a boardwalk for access but it is over a 6 foot fence. We love our south beach view from our back door toward Sullivans Island. As summer rolls on we have been booked solid. Thanks for your business we really appreciate it.
