"We really enjoyed our stay here. The property is a very nice beach cottage with close beach access and had everything we needed. We will definitely visit again!"

Super kid and pet-friendly! Very well equipped beach house, steps to the ocean.
"I can't say enough good things about our experience at Las Brisas. But I'll try. :) First of all, Maggie was super helpful and responsive. This was our first trip to the beach with our children, ages 2 & 4. We initially booked our stay at Port Aransas. Maggie called me a few days before our scheduled trip to let me know that there was a Red Tide in Port Aransas which can cause respiratory distress. This is a very infrequent and naturally occurring algae overgrowth, but happened to be occurring right before our trip. She offered to switch us to her Galveston house. This alone was above and beyond what a lot of beach home owners would do. We accepted her offer and had a wonderful stay in Galveston. This house was perfect for us. Our kids are 2 & 4 but this house would totally work for younger kids too. One room had 2 sets of bunk beds and a tv with a dvd player as well as several children's movies. There is a closet fully stocked with games for all ages, including foam blocks and plastic bowling pins. There is a basket of baby toys, which we didn't use but I'm sure we would have if our kids were younger. There is a baby gate for anyone worried about tiny bodies navigating the stairs. This house is very nicely laid out. Each bedroom has a bathroom. We easily and comfortably slept 5 adults, 2 children and 2 huge dogs one night and 3 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs the other two nights. The description of the house says "less than 5 minutes from the front door to the sand" but it was actually much less than that. The beach is literally steps away. It's basically right across the street. We considered buying a wagon before our trip to help transport our stuff and kids to the beach, but it turns out it was so close that we didn't really need it. We brought beach toys but the house also has a storage closet filled with sand toys, beach chairs, beach balls, boogie boards, floats and basically anything you would want for a day at the beach. The beach itself was very clean and not crowded. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need to cook with. There were plenty of beach towels and bath towels. Plenty of toilet paper and paper towels. This house is just everything we hoped it would be. I would seriously recommend staying here if you are looking for something kid friendly. Everything was so comfortable and sturdy. No tiny glass nick-nacks to stress over children breaking, yet very pretty and nicely decorated. We will definitely be back next year!"

"Can't say enough good things about this rental! Beautiful, functional, and a prime beachfront location. Such a short walk to the beach and gorgeous views from the balcony. Convenient access to the pool on the property and the onsite restaurant. The restaurant seems to be under new-er management. But the food was quite amazing despite the restaurant's small size and understated service. Prices a little high, but we were happy to pay vs. cooking on our own for this particular weekend. The condo itself is beautifully & comfortably decorated. Recommend it for adults or families with responsible children (fine breakables in easy reach for little hands). Only complaint is foot noise from upstairs neighbors. Sounded like they were running a bowling alley upstairs from us! Unbelievable! Also suggest a couple of additions to the kitchen like coffee, salt & pepper. Otherwise, this one is on my favorites list! I'm sure we'll come back!"

"My fiancé and I stayed here for a weekend away from the city and it was everything we were looking for. The interior has a very homey/beach house feel to it and the surrounding property is beautiful and well-kept. Our favorite aspects of the property were the views from the top floors and the openness of the back deck/patio. The surrounding neighborhood felt very safe and has managed to maintain Galveston's small-town feeling. We'll definitely be going back soon."
