Welcome to Calhoun's Whistler Getaway - Friends and Family Gather Here.

Calhoun's is a great place to come home to after a day enjoying everything Whistler has to offer. Open the door and you're greeted by a comfortable, friendly and luxurious environment. Gather round the large dining room table and share your adventures from the day - many tales have been exchanged here. Curl up by the fire with a good book or movie, or just gaze out the window and enjoy the mountain view. People tell us they enjoy staying 'home' at Calhoun's just as much as going out.

Our guests often ask 'what's the difference between Whistler Village and Whistler Creekside?' Whistler Creekside is the original Whistler base and has the 'local feel'. It's on the south end of the valley, closest to Vancouver and 5 minutes from Whistler village. The Creekside base area is family friendly and quiet at night, yet Dusty's Pub is the best apres ski spot in Whistler. The entire family can enjoy great food and live music after a day on the slopes. I enjoy visiting the action of Whistler Village to people watch and shop and I love to come home to Creekside and enjoy a meal at one of the great local restaurants or even better, dinner at Calhoun's!

About Jack and Lesley

We are a family of 4 who live near Vancouver. Our family loves the outdoors and takes every opportunity to ski, hike and bike. Owning a property in Whistler has been a dream of ours for many years and we are happy to share our Whistler home with others. We also love to travel and have had experiences staying in vacation homes around the world. We know what we like when we're vacationing and we have worked hard to bring those amenities to our Whistler home.

Why Jack and Lesley chose Vancouver Coast & Mountains

We searched the Whistler area thoroughly for our vacation property and were absolutely thrilled with what Lake Placid offers. In our opinion, this is hands down one of the best properties in the area. Our list of 'must- haves' was quite high - easy access to the ski hill ( we have two small children); a pool and hottub to enjoy apres ski and year round; an updated and secure building in a convenient location. Lake Placid has it all!

What makes this condo unique

We love the location! I smile everytime I make the 90 second walk to the gondola. I also love the view we have from our livingroom window. I can look down and see the pool and hottub or look up and see the moon rising over a forested mountain. Lake Placid also has easy access to groceries, Starbucks, liquor store and we are always running out for 'one more thing'. One of my favourite things to do is walk or bike into Whistler village with my family for dinner. The walk is gorgeous - paved trails through the forest and by the lakes. When we're done we hop on the bus and return to our quiet and relaxing condo in Creekside.

Best vacation ever!!

We had a fabulous time in Whistler. One of the reasons why was because we stayed at this awesome condo. My favorite thing about this place is its location. It is a stone's throw away from the ski lift, restaurants and the grocery store, among other great things. My family had the best time skiing there. It is just a few minutes drive to the village, but I'm so glad that we didn't stay at the village because at Creekside, it is much calmer and peaceful. So if you're wondering where to stay, this is the place. The kids and I also loved the heated pool and the hot tub. It was very warm!! Loved that!

Also, I'd like to mention that Jack and Lesley made sure that everything was to our liking. They were so friendly and accommodating and made every effort to ensure that our vacation was the best vacation ever. Mission accomplished!!!

Dream White Christmas vacation-Fabulous large, warm, comfy, Creekside condo

Our Aussie family have been in Creekside Whistler for a week over Christmas...Thankyou Thankyou Lesley and Jack of Calhouns 306 ...your property made our first ever white Christmas & family ski holiday superb...too many pluses to mention, but I will list a few...was it the amazing little touches of arriving to a bottle of red wine and chocs?...and a great well stocked kitchen or toasties for our ski gloves...or maybe the divine central heating and fire place that made this property so pleasantly welcoming and warm when it was -12 outside...or the convenience that there's free wifi, comfy beds and 2 bathrooms for adult family of 5!!!...or maybe the sensational outside welcoming hot tub with heated change rooms waiting for your tired ski legs...or the great relaxing sofa/lounge area and dining table where you can share your daily adventure stories...or the main parents bedroom downstairs with teenagers up... this loft condo is so well set up for your ski brother from Vancouver was slightly worried that we were 5 mins down the road from main Whistler village ...guess it's a personal preference but we actually loved it so much better for was much quieter, more affordable for a larger group and more relaxing than the Whistler village..there's a bus shuttle 50m to the right outside Legends that has you in the Whistler village in 7 mins or a $7 taxi ride...the Creekside chairlift is also 50 m away so you can virtually ski in ski it supermarket bottle shop etc across the road really convenient...Lake Placid Lodge was built in the 90s so larger condos and quality...Dining out nearby was amazing as a few of Whistlers best restaurants are within half a km...Red Door Bistro, Rim Rock cafe, Creekbread pizzas and Nita Lake Lodge ,..we ate at Red Door...French Canadian food was sensational ...watching the snow falling outside whilst snug on the sofa by the fire was so was walking to Nita Lake after snow...this condo went above and beyond everything we needed for an amazing memorable family white Christmas vacation...Thankyou again

The place was great! Would highly recommend for an affordable, enjoyable vacation.

This place offers two important things for the mountain vacationed: convenience and comfort. Convenient, short walk to the gondola and comfortable living. We had four people, and it slept us quite comfortably. I could imagine taking a few more people before losing comfort. Jack and Leslie were quite expedient in addressing any issues or questions we had. They had a lot of recommendations for us that made our experience all the more enjoyble. You won't be disappointed with your stay at this location!

Great owners, wonderful place

We stayed here for a week at the end of July, and had a great time. The unit is clean and well cared for. We have two small kids and they loved the pool. It was nice to be a bit removed from the craziness of Whistler village, but still close enough to enjoy the fun. Very convenient to have the grocery store and liquor store right across the street. Lesley and Jack were very accommodating, and made sure to provide us with a pack and play for our little one to sleep in, and even arranged for an earlier check-in time for our convenience. Lots of wonderful nearby trails to hike and lakes to explore. We loved the Sea to Sky Gondola. It was very hot the week we were there (36 C) and the unit does not have AC, but we were ok with the ceiling fans going. It tends to really cool down overnight, so keeping the windows open overnight was key. All in all a great place.

The property was nice and clean when we arrived

We had a great time to Jack's condo. We went there with our 2 kids and they enjoyed the nice and warm pool and the spa.From the condo we have the view on the pool so that was nice .. This is absolutely the place for outdoor activities!!!We did mountain bike with the kids, hiking, the wreck train activity that Jack talked to us about and lot's of pool!! The condo has everything to cook. And the kids loved Netflix ! We watched movies almost every night after dinner. It was our first time with vrbo and we will for sure do it again. Thanks Jack for your call during the week to make sure everything was fine.

Enjoyed our stay again!

Thanks to Jack and Lesley for a great stay at Creekside Whistler for our second stay. We also invited our family to stay in two other units in the same location, and all loved this place. The pool was nice and warm despite the cooler weather, we had a good place to keep our 5 bikes and always found parking downstairs in the underground. The home was clean and well appointed with everything we needed. Nice to have the big TV and Netflix for our many late nites too. The grocery, liquor store, and Starbucks are so close and handy.Thanks to the owner for checking in to make sure things are going well.
