Great cabin tucked away between two spring fed creeks.The last mile to the house is a very well graded and maintained dirt road that is easy to navigate as long as there is no snow.Really enjoyed the delicious spring fed water supplying the house.The property manager was extremely responsive and came to shovel and plow the foot of snow we got during our stay.There is a great selection of DVDs to watch at the house and the hot tub worked well.My only complaint is the house smelled a bit musty which may have been due to ice damming.

The owner does a great job of keeping the home well-stocked for guests to enjoy all of the comforts of home, and the hot tub is always a great bonus! The property can have a bit of a musty smell from time to time, given the location under the canopy of trees - we love the privacy that the trees offer so are working on a solution for this!

Overall the property was amazing! My only complaints were the house smelled musty and there were some cobwebs. There were also hairs in the bathtub. It also would’ve been nice to have some basic hygiene amenities. But the property was lovely and peaceful. We would recommend!

Wonderful couple weekend location.

Adorable property in a quiet and relaxing setting. We loved every minute of our stay. Only issue is zone 2 of the hot tub seems to not be working.

The place was clean and generally provided what was described but here are why it was only a three star...The owner had some weird rules about data usage on the wifi. Something about buying a data package that I don't recall in the description or an option to buy. Without it they didn't want you streaming any shows. The cable was horrid; I don't know what service was used but none of the standard national channels were available and what was available I had never heard of before. Plus the service would pause every 15 minutes or so and then resume for no reason. Combine this with the no streaming and the tv was pretty much useless.There was some type of fan on the side of the cabin. I couldn't figure out what controlled it but every hour or so it would turn on. It being on wasn't a problem but when it shut off the fan blades would hit something and make the loudest racket for a few seconds. This would happen every two hours or so, all thru the day/night.The hot tub controls didn't work. So while you could soak in the hot tub you couldn't turn the jets on. Plus there were no instructions on how to turn the outside sting lights on. I found an outlet that controlled one string but not the other.Finally, the pans were dirty. At first I thought it was bad cleaning service but the rest of the place was very clean. Then I realized the pans were so old and most of the surface rubbed off you couldn't get them clean no matter how hard you scrubbed.

Thanks for your input on your stay at our property. We do want to point out that there is an internet fee, but it is included in your reservation so you were welcome to use the internet to stream. If you were unsure, just ask! There is zero cable at the property, this is not a listed amenity for this reason. It is streaming services only, which as we mentioned you were welcome to stream using your accounts. Our maintenance has checked on the fans, hot tub controls, and string lights and they are all in working order. Again, we did not hear from you during your stay so were unaware that you were having any issues that we could have helped with to improve your stay. In the future, please utilize the information we provide so we can be of assistance and you can have a more enjoyable experience!

Nice family getaway

Each year we buy our daughters a ski trip for Christmas. This was the first year we were able to bring our dog AND have a hot tub. Super location, tucked away between some streams...not too far away from ski mountains. It worked out really well.Thanks for sharing the home.

Great cabin in the woods

Loved this cabin. Bedding was soft and comfy. Loved how quiet it was and the stream in the back yard. Loved the little special touches like granola bars and waters. I’d love to stay here again! It was really cozy! Excellent place!

Great ski trip

The inside is very cozy and open with a well equipped kitchen. Everything you need for a weekend getaway is there. The cabin is secluded and very quiet, making for a relaxing time in the hot tub outside. Very happy with our stay

We are a family of four from Pittsburgh. We love taking our little guys on trips to the Laurel Highlands and have always wanted a cabin of our own.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We instantly fell in love with the sound of the numerous springs, brooks and 'fairy pools' on the property. The thick carpet of moss that covers forest as well as the enormous boulders and lush ferns made us say " we'll take it!" Without a second thought.

The renovations to the cabin have made our little hide away spacious yet very cozy. We love that we can all hang out as a family indoors comfortably without tripping over each other.

As a mum, I feel it has everything we need as far as the 'luxuries' of hot bathes and showers, a place to do laundry after mucking about outside, and a full comfortable kitchen. The Wifi and entertainment center are a great bonus too. The kids love curling up on the couch to watch a movie after a busy day of exploring the creeks, climbing rocks in the yard and having campfires.

The best part Is falling asleep to the sound of a crystal clear spring in your backyard.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

There is a lot of neat things to explore off the property as well. We recently discovered Kooser State Park which is only a few minutes up the road, you could easily ride a bike there. It has a little beach and a stocked trout pond as well as trails and picnic spots. Hidden valley is also very close by for skiing and tubing. If you are into architecture, Kentuck knob and Falling water are fairly close. Our kids really liked Animal Treasures Zoo which is also very close.

Out of the Fire Restaurant is our favorite place to stop in to eat. The Silver Horse cafe makes the best lattes I have ever had. If you prefer to cook at the cabin there are more than a few places to stop for groceries and wine or beer. Every time we stay up at the cabin we discover something new and interesting near by! We hope you do too!
