Picturesque Canal View Apartment

An apartment located along a 17th century canal on the 1st floor of a 19th century building, with one bedroom. The living room with three large windows and a balcony offer stunning and picturesque views of the canal and the monumental drawbridge.
Located in the area is the house where Vincent Van Gogh lived (300 metres from the apartment) and the Rembrandt House (700 metres).

This apartment is new on VRBO. But since a while it has been published on a 'rival' booking website. On that platform a total of more then 100 guests have rated my apartment with an avarage of 4.88 points out of 5. Furthermore I have become a 'Superhost'. Through VRBO I hope and expect to reach other interesting guests.

The apartment is located in a quiet area (even at night) in the old centre of Amsterdam.
It is only 15 minutes walk from Central Station.

The apartment has a private entrance, independent from the 2nd floor where we live. Your privacy is guaranteed, always being the sole tenant of the apartment.
Recently, the complete apartment has been carefully renovated. There are many late 19th century details. In the living room you will detect the original colours of the fireplace and the ceiling panelwork relief.

The bedroom has a double bed (1.60 m wide). The ceiling is a fan.

The kitchen is well stocked with coffee, tea and cooking utensils, including microwave and fridge. Use of stove (cooker)

Be aware: the steep, narrow Amsterdam style stairs that give access to the apartment are not suited for people with walking problems.

Within a few minutes walking you will find the Maritime Museum, Artis Zoo, Jewish Historical Museum, Rembrandt House, Resistance Museum, National Holocaust Museum, the Botanical Garden and more ...
The nearest supermarket is just around the corner (90 metres walk), open 7 days a week. At the opposite side of the canal is a bakery. So you can compose your own favourite breakfast very easily!

Nearby bicycle rental.

Concerning COVID-19 / CORONA it is good to know you got your own entrance, your own staircase to the first floor, your own kitchen, bathroom and toilet. So you do not have to worry someone else is using any part of your apartment!
Furthermore your apartment is carefully cleaned before you check in.
Behind the front door you can disinfect your hands every time you come home.
