Luxury contemporary villa - 5 minutes walk from beach

Villa 23 is a newly built luxury villa located in an exceptionally beautiful and special location on the headland of Ponta da Piedade. Inside the villa is finished to a very high standard, is immaculately clean and has everything you need for a relaxing luxury holiday including air conditioning throughout, a gas fireplace, underfloor heating, WIFI and cable TV. The living area, kitchen, dining room and master bedroom (with ensuite) are situated on the first floor with a full length terrace and sea views. The further three bedrooms are situated on the ground floor all have ensuite bathrooms and access to the pool area. Outside are separate roof, terrace and ground level areas for private relaxation and sun lounging, a swimming pool (which can be heated for a cost of £150 per week), gas BBQ and eating area.

Villa 23 was built and decorated by us and we are very proud of it. We have been holidaying in the Algarve for many years and we wanted the Villa to represent the very highest standard of self catering accommodation.

Ponte de Piedade is one of the most scenic locations in Portugal. Within minutes walk of the villa are stunning beaches, golden cliffs and rock formations including Camilo Beach (4 mins - hailed by the Huffington Post as the most beautiful beach in the world!) and Praia de Dona Ana (10 mins). The villa is located at the starting point of some of the most beautiful walking, running and cycling pathways in Portugal that continue West along the cliffs for many kilometres. The villa is also only a 20/25 minute walk from historic Lagos with its marina and many shops and restaurants. Nearby activities include sea kayaking, mountain biking, sailing, golf, surfing, hiking/running, snorkelling. The nearest restaurant is the excellent seafood restaurant, O Camilo, (2 mins walk) but there are many others within walking distance and a huge choice around Lagos.
There are 3 great golf courses within a 10/15 minute drive. Boavista (5 mins), Palmares (10 minutes) and Espiche 10/15 minutes. In addition Faldo Amendoeira Golf Course and Alamos Golf Course are around 30 minutes drive away.
Some building work is still being carried out on the development but not close to the villa so should be of little/no disruption. The weekly rental rates have been reduced to reflect this.

The villa was first class. The property management company looked after us in a very professional way Villa was spotless and the pool was brilliant for my grandson. Only small criticism would be that the pool could do with a handrail to hold onto to get in the pool and the bathrooms could do to have some shelving in them for toiletries. Absolutely wonderful - Again

This is our second time at this beautiful villa. The architecture, location, pool and all the facilities are second to none. Just 2 mins walk from the famous (and one of the most photographed), beaches on the Algarve. Walking distance to two fantastic fish restaurants and about 25mins into Lagos.Great for our 18 year olds who wanted to go into town for the nightlife and for us parents who enjoyed a lovely meal, sunsets and cocktails.Would highly recommend.Thank you so much.

Lagos Family Stay with older kids

Top notch villa in perfect location to the town and amenities. Super modern with all mod cons needed for a fun filled holiday. Ideal for simply relaxing by the pool or getting out and about for holiday activities with direct access to stunning beaches and the coast path/ amazing boardwalk which spans the whole coast from Lagos to Porto do Mos, just epic for walks and sunset watching. Would highly recommend.

Stunning villa

We stayed at this beautiful villa in Lagos for a week with our family and friends of six. The home was spacious, and had everything we needed to feel right at home — from a fully equipped kitchen to cozy beds and plenty of room for everyone to spread out.The villa is in a safe neighbourhood and just 3 minutes walk to a stunning beach.Hazel our host was incredibly helpful and responsive, offering great local tips and making sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend for families looking for a relaxing and luxurious base to explore the Algarve!

This house is very nice and in a beautiful spot near the water while still being convenient for quick trips into Lagos.The second floor living area and roof top deck make this house worth renting. The owner and property manger were communicative and handled to few issues we had during the early stage of our trip.

Absolutely stunning

This really is an incredible property in an outstanding location! It is apparent that a huge amount of effort has gone into the design, layout and landscaping of the house and we appreciated everything. Especially the sea view from the top terrace in the morning! Situated just steps away from one of the most beautiful beaches in the world and close to Lagos and Luz - it was ideal for our family. We had the very best time, bbq in the outdoor kitchen and lazy days around the pool as well as nights out to the two restaurants just 5mins walk away and evenings in Lagos. Excellent communication with the owner and management company and everything was as listed. Thank you so much, it was perfect - we will be back.

Lovely villa in a fabulous location

Overall, we had a great stay in this lovely villa. It is very well equipped and furnished to a high standard with beautiful and comfy outdoor seating. The location itself is fabulous. Just beside a stunning coastal boardwalk & beaches, and only a short Uber ride into the old town (you could walk to if feeling energetic). Getting an Uber couldn’t have been easier.. only ever 2-3 mins wait & cheap as chips. Unless you want to go driving to other towns, you really dont need a car here. Supermarkets also within easy walking distance. It’s front row of the estate facing a road that can be busy at times, so it’s not a peaceful location. But on balance, it’s hard to top where the villa is situated. Hazel was great at communicating with us & Maria (local manager) was responsive and helpful for everything we needed. A few niggles with the pool, which I understand will be sorted end of season. The Villa was perfectly clean when we got there, but in retrospect, I should have paid extra for a mid week clean, since the windy weather in the area blows in a lot of dust, so the whole outdoor area was a bit grimy by the end of our week. Although not a major issue, the villa does need a bit of attention in some spots, as the paintwork was peeling in the master bedroom. Some extra touches would also help to make it a 10/10. E.g. better quality bath & pool towels. Overall great stay & great value for money. Thank you!

Algarve Experience

This is a very nice Villa, Perfect for couples or families. Nicely appointed bedrooms with en suite baths. A beautiful terrace to enjoy cocktails or a barbecue. Conveniently located 10 min from grocery stores, marina jand restaurants . This was our first experience with a VRBOand we were there for 12 days so you need to remember that you need to provide everything- from shampoo to soap to all your food including condiments. Honestly, the only annoying issue was the induction range which is impossible to cook with! Maria is very responsive. The one issue not fully disclosed is they while the beach is a 5 min walk-that is to the entrance it is another 230 steps down to the beach and therefore 230 steps back up! However there are some beautiful beaches a short 15- 20 min away with lovely board walks and restaurants. Would definitely recommend this property.

Wonderful villa!

We had a wonderful stay at the villa. It was exactly as described. The villa was very clean and had everything we needed to make it our home for a week. We paid to have the pool heated. The temperature was perfect. It is conveniently located near lovely beaches and town. An easy walk to both. I highly recommend.

Stunning villa

The Villa was beautiful and in a peaceful but accessible location to the town and beaches. Would definitely recommend to others and the owner was very good at getting a hold of leading up to our stay and whilst we were there. If looking for an excursion, would 100% recommend the Kayak tour around the caves, great value for money!

This was a special family trip for us and this villa was perfect. Great location, lots of paths close by and the walk to Old Town was lovely. This is a beautiful villa with luxury finishes. It was nice to end our day with a dip in the heated pool.

Magnifique propriété

Magnifique propriété , luxueuse, bien située. Belle piscine , cuisine bien équipée . Possibilité de prendre la piscine chauffée mais vous pouvez attendre d’être sur place avant de voir si vous avez besoin : Fin septembre nous en avons pas eu besoin. Situé Près du boardwalk avec vue magnifique de la côte. Quelques restos a proximité. Prenez note que la maison est située sur une rue passante car c’est une rue qui donne accès au boardwalk donc on entend la circulation de 10 am a 19hre environ. Pas de problème pour dormir et ça ne nous a pas empêché d’aimer quand même car le set up est très beau. Plusieurs golfs à proximité. Bel accueil et bon service pour répondre a nos besoins.

Gorgeous Villa

The villa did not disappoint and we were so happy it was our last stop as it would have been hard to top. I would definitely recommend paying the extra to heat pool. I would suggest a few more serving platters. All in all loved the villa and would to see area in 5 years as it looks like it is developing into something amazing. Thank you!

Lovely Villa and great communication

We really enjoyed our two week stay with friends and family The Villa and gardens and pool (we chose to have it heated) are lovely as is the location - with some of the best coastline in the algarve within a few minutes walk. Great selection of good quality restaurants all within 30 minutes walk (two are just 5 minutes away) - our host Hazel made some great recommendations - her communication from the minute we booked could not have been better We will be back!

Canadians celebrating abroad

What a way to spend a week celebrating friendships and life milestones! The location was excellent; 15-20 walking to the historic centre, shops, restaurants and supermarkets (Uber home with groceries if you have a lot). Best of all, the villa was located steps away from some of the most beautiful scenery, beaches and hiking areas. Would highly recommend a kayaking tour by “days of adventure” to see the caves from the water. Thank you Hazel.
