Why David W. Dixon chose Walker County
Growing up I have lived in many places, but without a doubt I love living here more than anywhere I have ever lived. Being able to hear the crickets at night and enjoy the peaceful tranquility away from all the hustle and bustle is something we really enjoy. It's so nice to enjoy being in the country and feel like no one is anywhere near around when in reality I can be to Walmart and other places in town in about 5 minutes. It's truly the best of both worlds and I know you will agree when you come to stay with us in the Plantation at Pigeon Mountain

Perfect Place for Family Getaway!
Perfect is the best way to describe our experience with every aspect of this venue. The listing is accurately described and exceeded our expectations. The kitchen was well appointed, beds were comfortable and horses brought much entertainment to our two grandchildren. We grilled out one night, ate evening meals on the patio and built a bonfire at night for roasting marshmallows. The owners were great to answer all our pre-visit questions and concerns and even dropped by to meet us before we headed home on the last day. The home is large enough that all ten of us could be together at times and yet we could take a break in a rocking chair on the front porch, swing on the porch swing, sit in the gazebo, climb some of the most wonderful magnolia trees we've ever seen or take long walks. We will definitely book this beautiful home again.
Thank you for your review. We are glad you had such a nice time at the Plantation and look forward to your staying with us again soon.
Beautiful, stunning views!
Our family had an absolute blast staying here. Owners were just a text or phone call away with any needs or concerns. House was set up beautifully and inviting. There was plenty of space for every one of us to relax and enjoy ourselves. We will definitely come back if we are in the area again.
Thank you so much for your review. It was a pleasure to host your visit to the Plantation and we are happy you had such a wonderful trip here, and look forward to your returning to the Plantation soon.
Relaxing Trip with the Kids
The Plantation was the perfect family get away! The house itself is decorated beautifully & the outside covered patio was awesome to be able to sit outside with the family & grill out & play cornhole! Really a relaxing experience for us as parents & lots of fun for the kids with the game room! Also, it's a great place for an evening stroll to see some wild life, we saw deer & turkeys while we were there.
We also found there was plenty to do for the whole family in Chattanooga, which was only about 25 minutes from the property. There is the, Tennessee Aquarium , the Creative Discovery Museum, & a really cool walking bridge that goes across the river!
The owners are very attentive to our needs & even provide a little something sweet to welcome their guest! We would definitely stay at the Plantation again!!
Thank you for your review. We're glad you enjoyed your stay at the Plantation!
Wedding Weekend Rental
I was married at the Plantation at Pigeon Mountain and rented the house for the wedding weekend. The house comfortably slept 7 guests the night before the wedding, and my husband and I spent the night after the wedding festivities.
The home and grounds are beautiful, and we felt very welcome by the host. I would recommend renting this home to anyone getting married at or otherwise using the Plantation. The convenience and grounds can't be beaten!
Thank you for your review. We're glad you enjoyed your time at the Plantation. We enjoyed hosting your wedding and also time at the Plantation before and after your wedding. We welcome you to come back and visit anytime. David and Sheryl Dixon
