We had a wonderful stay at Villa Garifallia and would happily return in the future. The villa has had a major update from the photo's on the listing and is much improved. The villa is located up a very steep 1st gear hill, but the stunning views make it all worthwhile. The outside space is enormous with comfy sun beds, a lawned garden and a separate area for dining on the terrace. The pool and garden had the sun all day which was great, nothing like a late evening dip watching the sun go down!We were looked after by Yannis who owns the farm next door. Yannis was so helpful, he generally maintains the pool and the garden and he helped us with a few minor issues we came across. He also suppled a clutch of fresh eggs from the farm, Thanks Yannis. The beautiful village Mouralis is only around 250 metres away but it is a challenging walk as it is very steep, but it's well worth it. There are two lovely authentic restaurants that must be visited. Rethymno is only a short drive away and well wortjh a visit especially the old town which is beautiful. We would certainly recommend this lovely villa in the most beautiful peaceful location and would definitely return again.

Das Haus ist schon etwas älter und entsprechend die Einrichtung. Die Bäder sind recht alt und die Einrichtung ist in die Jahre gekommen. Zum Beispiel schließen die meisten Zimmertür nicht. Die Küchenausrüstung ist unzureichend und wurde auch auf Nachfrage nicht ergänzt. Die Umgebung ist sehr nett, vor allem die fußläufige Entfernung nach Maroulas. Allerdings wird man jede Nacht durch bellende Hunde geweckt.

It was a beautiful spacious well-equipped villa in a peaceful location approx 7 mins drive from the center of Platanes and Rethymno where you can find plenty of life and entertainment if you want it. There is an excellent beach nearby and also great restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk from the villa and the sea/beach is only 5 minutes drive away. Otherwise, the villa is cozy and rooms are comfortable with nice beddings. Couldnt fault the villa at all. We visited Bali, Georgioupoli, and Rethymno a couple of times and really enjoyed tasting delicious specialties in local tavernas there. Very satisfied that we booked this villa for our current holiday destination and we definitely book it again for the next year.

Einfach nur WOW

Unser Erwartungen wurden übertroffen, der Ausblick / Pool & die Laage bieten alles was man vom kretianischen Flair erwartet. Die Herzlichkeit mit denen uns die Dorfbewohner Maroulas begegnet sind, kann man schlecht in Worte fassen. Nach 2 Tagen fühlten wir uns fast wie Familienmitglieder. Die kleine Taverne Katarina (5 min zu Fuß entfernt) muss unbedingt besucht werden. Der Ausblick und das Geschmackserlebniss waren einmalig. Wir würden es jedem weiterempfehlen.

If you are looking for a quiet restful holiday in a private villa with perfect SEA VIEWS then this is the place for you! Great relaxed holiday at a nice quiet location, away from the main tourist strips. Villa Garifallia has a nice terrace and pool. We really enjoyed there while we were relaxing during the whole day and waited the moment to see the most beautiful sunset views. The location is also excellent for exploring other nearby places. Within only a 5-10 minute driving you are at Rethymn and Platanes, where you can enjoy their local amenities, beaches, shops, restaurants... All in all an excellent place and villa, which we highly recommend.

We had a great time there and we were amazed by how lovely are Rethymno and Platanes. The Villa Garifallia is spotless, and has everything you need! Very satisfied that we booked this villa for our current holiday destination and we definitely book it again for the next year.

The location and the villa are perfect for a quiet relaxed holiday. Enough far from the crowd places but still near to almost everything: local places to visit, restaurants, tavernas, bars...I think that the pictures accurately reflect the property. The outside and pool area were MAGNIFICENT and we all had our own privacy given the layout of the bedrooms and bathrooms. This is the first holiday we have had when we have not visited hotel resorts- and it was great to have ended up at such a well-thought-out and well-cared-for property. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor seating area and the pool. The children loved the pool and terrace and played there almost all day which in turn gave us a break too! We also visited Rethymno and Platanes and spend a great time there: tasting local food, drinking some of the local wines, swimming, sunbathing, snorkeling, etc. I found Agni to be extremely helpful & they gave us lots of useful information & contact numbers for the local area. Looking forward to booking with them again for next year.

Propriété au top (si vous n'avez pas le sommeil trop léger, le réveil par les oies à 7h peut piquer), la vue + la piscine et la localisation (moyennant d'avoir un véhicule) sont juste parfaites ! De plus, l'hospitalité des crêtois nous a laissé sans mot, merci pour ces vacances que nous n'oublierons pas de si tôt !

Everything and More

The property was very well maintained and offered even more than expected. It was well laid out and offered excellent views from different aspects around the villa. It was set in a tranquil and relaxing spot. The village which was a walk away was picturesque and peaceful. The owners of the Tavernas were so welcoming along with all the people I met along the way. I would highly recommend this villa.

Great location for us as a group (two couples).It was out in the countryside which we like , but only a couple of miles from shops and restaurants. We have been hiring villas all over Europe for the last 25 years , and this was only our second visit to Greece (both via Agni travel) , and we were not disappointed !
