Welcome to York Heights @ Ryedale House - A stunning 2 bedroom property with incredible views over York Minster.

Ryedale House is an exclusive, private development in the heart of York's historic core beside the River Foss. The building benefits from secure allocated parking and an onsite concierge. York Heights sits on the 6th floor and offers a dramatic views of York Minster and other landmarks across the city.

Upon entering the open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area for the first time you will be immediately struck by the amazing amount of natural light coming into the apartment from the floor to ceiling windows. There is a seating area right in the corner of the room where you can take full advantage of relaxing with a coffee and taking in the view.

The kitchen area has been designed to the highest standards and features premium Neff appliances throughout. There is a large island unit and bespoke worktop creating a sophisticated and contemporary living space.

The dining area can seat 4 for dinner and backs onto the stylish living area with comfortable seating and large LCD TV. The high quality wooden floors throughout the apartment also have the added benefit of underfloor heating. The property also benefits from superfast fibre BT broadband.

The master bedroom features a king size bed. The bedroom also has an ensuite complete with underfloor heating and spacious walk in shower.

The second bedroom of the apartment features a super king size bed that can be split into twin beds upon request. Both the bedrooms benefit from having USB sockets near the beds and high quality carpets throughout.

The apartment also has the added benefit of an allocated car park space onsite.

Another top stay in York

Yet again working with Stays York we had great, and very comfortable trip. Ryedale House is an excellent property, located within a couple of minutes walk to the center of town. Comfortable, clean, convenient.

Nearly perfect stay

The best thing about this apartment is the location. It is minutes away from the centre of York with excellent parking and ev charging. The apartment itself is everything you would want with some tiny omissions. It would be lovely to have hooks on the back of doors, somewhere to put essentials in the shower. More crockery would be helpful. That being said, we would definitely use this lovely apartment again.

Modern apartment close to city center with parking

Nice modern apartment close to city center with parking. Only downside is the lack of some basics in the kitchen, e.g. paper towels, etc. that one should not need to supply and the fact that one cannot open the shower in the smaller bedroom too much without the risk of flooding the room carpet.

Very comfortable apartment, couldn’t be handier for centre.

York Heights is a very modern, comfortable and well equipped apartment with great views over to the Minster. The restaurants in Walmgate are a 2 minute walk and the Shambles can be reached in 5-10 minute walk. We loved the underfloor heating, the large TV, the comfortable seating areas and beds and the facility of 2 en-suites (although design of shower base causes a very wet floor). We didn’t need to open the lounge full length window but if we had, it would have been annoying to find the locking mechanism was broken. Also a minor detail - please provide proper hangers that are in keeping with this level of luxury apartment! Stays York’s communication was very good and I would definitely go to their website first in future!

Good location but cleaning regime not up to expected standard

Having stayed at other apartments at Ryedale House we had a good understanding of what to expect at York Heights. Great location, very friendly reception staff and well cared for common areas. The apartment itself was generally fine however the cleaning and maintenance regime was not up to the expected standard. Floor tiles in wet room shower not clean, toilet seat loose and dirty around the fitting Some carpets not hoovered properly and some surfaces in lounge not cleaned e.g. coffee table. Fridge had half-used pint of milk in it and not properly wiped out. Dish washer not fully emptied and three out of the five mugs in the cupboard had significant black tea stains so had to be washed by hand before use. We dealt with the issues ourselves rather than call for assistance. Unfortunately York Heights didn't match the other apartments we had stayed in at Ryedale House.

Fabulous Apartment with amazing view.

My 83 year old mother and I had a wonderful stay at York Heights and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting York. The apartment was extremely well appointed to a very high standard and the communication from Stays York was excellent. We arrived to find a lovely Christmas tree, welcome pack and a lovely, warm flat which was well received. The flat was comfortable and the view amazing. Minor things - I did have a problem with the bath in the main bedroom as the bath was so slippery I could not stand to have a shower. I highlighted this to York Stays the morning I left and suggested a bath mat which although unsightly, would avoid a very nasty accident. The other shower also flooded on to the floor which I also fed back. We felt the shower room also needed a shelf above the sink as no where to put toiletries and the mirror was strangely above the toilet instead of the sink. Although this is not something the owner of the apartment can remedy as it is the building's owner that is responsible, it is worth noting that there is absolutely NO access for wheelchairs of for those unable to do steps of any kind. The front has a small step and the car park has 2 steps. This nearly caused me a problem as I specifically searched for apartments without stairs/steps. Other than that, we would definitely return.

Perfect location!

This was our second time staying in this beautiful apartment complex, but our first time in this specific apartment. The styling of the apartment is absolutely stunning, with a perfect blend of modern aesthetics and comfort. The location couldn’t be better—everything you need is within easy reach. We especially appreciated the super king bed, which was incredibly comfortable, and having a dedicated parking space was a huge convenience. However, our experience wasn’t without some drawbacks. We had chosen this apartment looking forward to enjoying the large sliding door in the living room, only to discover it was broken and couldn’t be used. At this time of year, we really enjoy the cold fresh air against a warm room, so it was disappointing not to have this feature available. Additionally, the cleanliness left something to be desired. While the apartment appears clean on the surface, it was clear that it’s not given a thorough deep clean. Dust gathered in corners, the showers showed signs of mould and could benefit from a proper bleach and scrub, and there were grubby marks on the walls. The overall aesthetic is so impressive that it does help to overlook these issues, but a bit more attention to detail in cleaning would elevate the experience. The welcome pack was a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. That said, customer service wasn’t great. For example, I emailed to ask about activating the EV charger associated with our parking spot and received no response. The complex itself is fantastic—secure, stylish, and well-maintained. The concierge and reception area are truly stunning, and there’s a strong feeling of safety throughout. Despite the drawbacks, we would definitely return to this apartment complex next time we’re in York, and we’ve already recommended it to friends. With a few improvements, this place could easily be perfect!

Very good.

Overall, very good and very pleased we chose this accomodation. Location was superb with secure parking. Flat itself was lovely, very clean, spacious and modern and compared to other properties in the area, to me the value vs what was on offer was excellent. Would recommend and stay again and liked the touch of a welcome gift, thank you. My improvements which is better suited than a negative left for no other reason than for the company to perhaps use as constructive feedback for future guests, although appreciate one of these is perhaps out of control on a new build appartment. No locks on either bathroom/shower doors (maybe not allowed, not sure?). For many i dare say not an issue, for families with young children, locks give you your 10 minutes peace to unwind in the bath/shower undisturbed. Tele was on occasion temperamental, each night it froze. Solution was off at the wall then restart. Easy fix, just a niggle. Finally although the beds and pillows were extremely comfortable, the duvets were very warm coupled with a new, well insulated build. Maybe the options of a summer and winter duvet in the rooms
.But again, picky but feedback nonetheless.
