Tranquility, rolling countryside and the lapping of the Atlantic Ocean just a stone‘s throw is what you will find at The Pool House, Barbados. Stunning 5 Bedroom ocean front villa with pool featuring panoramic views
Located in Foul Bay, a neighborhood in Ocean City, this cottage is in a rural area and near the beach. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Crane Beach and Miami Beach. Kendal Sporting and Oistin's Friday Night Fish Fry are also worth visiting. Scuba diving and snorkeling offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with horse riding and hiking nearby.
Thanks to Anthea and Nick for a wonderful stay in their lovely cottage.
They made it so easy for us to feel at home and nothing was too much trouble, including airport pickup (recommended).
The house is very roomy for two people. A gentle breeze blows through the windows and there is an electric fan above the bed to keep you cool during the warm nights.
The pool is perfect for some gentle fitness to complement sunbathing in the garden.
Our top 5 highlights of Barbados so far:
- Relaxing on Payne’s Beach
- Driving around the central and eastern parts of the island (the Sat-Nav really helped!)
- Oistins Fish Fry
- Welchman’s Gully
- Sunbury plantation house
Highly recommended.

The picture gives a good impression. You will find a super clean private bungalow with pool close to a white beach. The hosts live next door - will leave you alone but will always be there always friendly in case you have a question or need something

Thank you Michaela, Klaus and Ron. This booking was done by Michaela whom I got to meet via the internet. The actual guests were the father and son duo of Klaus and Ron. It was a pleasure hosting them. Michaela had them well trained - they left the cottage spotless. Since we began our holiday let, I can say that all our guests have been exceptional. We have enjoyed their company, we've enjoyed sharing our home, our garden and our island with them. Again we got to know a little about foreign lands and our guests' interest as we shared produce from our garden in a home cooked meal. Klaus and Ron were able to sample Nick's homemade ice-cream from passion fruit from our garden. Thanks Klaus and Ron for the lovely book of photography of Germany. I hope to visit there one day. Thanks for being fabulous guests.

Such a fabulous gentleman. Gerald was a wonderful guest, it was a pleasure hosting him.
On arriving at The Pool House, Gerald realised that because of its secluded location, it was wise to be greeted at the airport. The property is easy to find once you know how. Its just tucked away down a private road.
Gerald joined us for a barbecue and a few days later for a dinner which we generally host for guests who stay with us for two weeks or more. It gives us the opportunity to get to know each other and allow guests to try local foods. We generally prepare the meals using Caribbean fruits, vegetables and starches, and where possible, from my garden, however, I prepared them in and English style so guests get to savor the dishes without being over-powered by spices.
Gerald was hardly around, as he went off to explore the island almost daily, but when he was in, we hardly knew he was there. He requested peace and a quiet environment, and we were pleased to be able to provide this. Thanks Gerald for being such a pleasant guest.
