Perfect for city breaks

I visited York for a weekend break, and the location of the apartment was perfect - a few minutes away from the station, and a few minutes away from the city centre, both on foot. The apartment was warm and cosy, stylishly decorated and comfortable, containing excellent kitchen appliances. Although the apartment is in the heart of York, the area was quiet overnight, guaranteeing a decent night's sleep. I highly recommend The Falcon - Apartment 1, courtesy of Stays York. If I ever visit York again, I wouldn't hesitate to to book one of their many properties.

Great little apartment in a good location, a short walk from the railway station and central York

Well located apartment in a great location, the area is reasonably quiet. It is just a short walk from the railway station and central York. Good access to local amenities, restaurants, bars and a small supermarket just a short walk away.

Great location!

The listing was accurate. It was close to the train station and the other sights within York. When I go back to York, I will look to book this again.

Falcon Tap 1

The booking and prior communication was great and gave us everything we needed. The apartment was in a great location, close to the centre but down a quiet backstreet. The apartment does need some care, there were bits of the flooring coming up, a lot of marks over all the walls, the shower was loose fitting and sprayed water out of all joints when on. There was sealant coming away in a couple of areas of the shower as well. The cleanliness was not as I would expect, there was a layer of dust and hairs on the bedside table and in the drawers which I had to clean before using. Anywhere that wasn’t the main area of flooring looked like it hadn’t been touched in a long time. The rubber thing on the draining board was dirty front and back. We got out a few of the glasses and all were dirty.

Appartamento spazioso, molto pulito e ben posizionato. Forse da migliorare la dotazione della cucina (un minimo di condimenti tipo olio, sale, ecc sarebbe stato gradito e anche qualcosa per pulire, tipo scopa, detergente, ecc). Chiare le istruzioni per il check-in

Highly recommended. Will be back!

We booked a very last minute stay at The Falcon Tap for two nights and loved it so much, we ended up staying an extra night! The apartment was really clean and was a home away from home. The little welcome bag waiting for us was a wonderful touch and very appreciated! It's only a 10 minute walk into the centre and near enough to everything (even for me with a dodgy foot!) There's a tesco express and Sainsburys local just a few minutes walk away for any essentials you need. The only thing I would say could be improved, is the lighting in the stairwell. When coming in the main door, the sensor activates the lights but when coming out of your apartment, it doesnt turn on until you're halfway down the stairs. Overall a 10/10 stay for us and we will definitely be returning! Thank you to Julie who helped us with our request for an extra night.

Clean modern accommodation, great central location, well maintained. No iron/ironing board would be only criticism otherwise made our stay in York!
