Worth the steps
The online photos did not actually do this property justice. There are 270 degree views of both the north and south sides of the island with water everywhere. While there are a good number of steps up to the property, the walk down is pretty easy and you are 10 minutes at most from the center of Capri and the clock tower. Anacapri and the beach clubs are a short cab ride away. We were charged pretty much 30 euros for cabs to any location on the island. Shower pressure was good, beds very comfortable and the outdoor living space was amazing. There are some issues with check in we were given instructions to meet outside number 6 - but it turns out there are two number 6s the first is considerably further up the hill and it was unclear whether the person we were meeting was aware of the second set of numbers. Absolutely hire the porters if you have any roller bags, unless you are a bunch of 20 year old guys. The villa managers set us up with two tours - one a walking tour with Roberta a local that was simply wonderful and really made us feel comfortable in the island. The second was an all day boat tour with a lunch stop at Il Riccio - the boat was lovely - not fancy but perfect for our group of 5 with plenty of space to soak up the sun on cushions. Lunch was outrageously overpriced and one of the least impressive meals we had during our stay on Capri - highly recommend choosing another lunch stop. Overall we had a wonderful time and would absolutely return.
