Escape to a romantic getaway in the Sanderling with its king sized bed, overlooking Beadnell Bay. With its cosy log burner to keep you snug and warm after a dip in the Wood Fired Hot Tub. If that is not enough, the stunning glass ceiling above the bed enables you to continue star-gazing long into the night. From inside and outside you can enjoy stunning views across Beadnell bay and Seahouses. The Sanderling is situated on the outskirts of Beadnell Village with views across the fields towards the sea.

Fab stay with friends

We booked both shepherds huts as there was 4 of us plus a dog. Both huts had everything that we needed and the hosts had thought of everything. The beds were so comfortable the hot tub was amazing and easy to use. Fantastic location could not recommend enough

Excellent place to stay

First time visiting and this accommodation did not disappoint, absolutely gorgeous shepherds hut, hosts have thought of everything you may need for your stay and the welcome bottle of Prosecco and chocolate were a lovely touch. Excellent location for exploring the area and the information provided by the hosts was amazing to help us plan our visits. Cannot recommend this place enough !

Another wonderful stay in the Sandling - everything you need for a special little get away-plus some personal touches from Samantha and her team! Loved the addition of bath robes for the hot tub!! Thanks again will be back again and again and again xxx

Weekend getaway

What a fantastic little place. Second time we’ve stayed here and hasn’t disappointed on either occasion. The location is ideal just outside Beadnell, with all local amenities within walking distance. Open the doors on a morning to a field full of bright yellow rapeseed with the sun on your face, it really does get you away from it all. Would recommend to anyone looking for a couple of days away.

Lovely stay

A lovely little bolt hole within great proximity to Seahouses and Bamburgh. A little too close to the main road to make it secluded. Everything you could need for a short stay and the glass roof is delightful. Set the fire going, knock the lights off and look at the stars.

Beadnell bay

We always have such a lovely time , it's very cosy with the log fire burning ! The weather wasnt the best but there was was still loads to do .. the long walks along the beeches and the great pub atmosphere at the end was fantastic , all the local people & holiday makers were super friendly .. The cabin was amazing with everything we needed , thanks for such a lovely stay & we will be definitely coming back.

Relaxing weekend break with a friend

Stayed at The Sanderling. Beautiful shepherds hut in a stunning location. The Sanderling and Beadnell had everything to relax and recharge. Walking distance to the beach and local bars/restaurants. Car parking for 2 cars at The shepherds hut. Will definitely return. Next time will come with family and book both The Sanderling and The Sandpiper. Just need to sort out dates and see when both huts are available. Hosts are very attentive too leaving us a bottle of fizz and chocolate. Much appreciated. Thank you. Sharon Talbot

Anniversary Break

Positive - Really useful and informative app, very good communication. Ideal location to explore Northumberland, lovely coastal views. We were lucky to have a starry night very magical. Well equipped shepherds hut, great hot tub. Comfy bed. Negative- Oven and some kitchen equipment grubby and dirty,. Kitchen area not as photograph representation. TLC needed in some areas. Overall we had a really lovely stay and would book again thank you

The Sanderling Shepherds Hut Beadnell Northumberland

Great location with sea view. Lovely wood burner kept us cosy and warm as toast. Nice welcome gifts of Prosecco and chocolate which went down a treat. Fenwick the dog loved his stay too. Will definitely book again.

Just came back from this gem, we had a brilliant time, the host thought of everything, the hot tub was Amaizing and im going to miss falling asleep gazing at the moon and stars! Did i mention so peaceful i will definitely be returning! Thank you for a lovely stay

A Beautiful Escape

Beautiful stay at The Sanderling. There are fabulous views and stunning sunrises/sunsets to be seen. We enjoyed feeling tucked away yet still close enough to enjoy the local areas. we visited Bambrough and Seahouses whilst here. In our opinion there are good road routes and public transport if you would prefer to drive over walk although we did a mix of both. Great pubs serving good food just a short walk away if you don't fancy cooking a perfect combination of seclusion and convenience. When the skies are clear, the Dark Skies are amazing - take the time to switch off , enjoy the natural skies and relax! We loved and understood the whole concept, beautifully hand‑crafted and eco‑friendly, made from reclaimed materials, insulated and designed to blend luxury with a back‑to‑nature feel. The added touches of robes and towels for both the shower and hot tub were perfect to allow travelling lighter!

Just what we needed.

Beautiful place, beautiful location and absolutely perfect for a quiet getaway. It has everything you need and then some, hot tub was perfect and the little wood burner inside does the job perfectly.

Fabulous stay in shepherds hut. Stunning views and beautiful cosy place to unwind and enjoy nature . Stargazing on a night before bed through the glass roof and chilling in the lovely garden in hot tub and sitting round fire on a night in one of our favourite parts of the country it’s just amazing. We just love this place !
