We were so excited when we arrived to this home! We had been planning a trip with two of our family friends--21 of us total.
The kitchen seemed ok at first despite an out of order sign on one, which was full of rancid old water. So we loaded the second one, despite the top rack being busted and soap dispenser being broken. However, when we went to shut it, it wouldnt lock shut.
I'd say this experience summarizes the home. The bathroom looked ok at first, but the toilet continuously clogged. The water heater was a complete joke and hot water a scarce commodity even without everyone showering. The pump on the septic failed and flooded the basement destroying our friend's luggage, slippers and clothes. This failure meant we were down to one group bathroom (no shower was available) for 21 people plus the master bathroom, which involved going through their room to get there.
Multiple things had out of order signs on them. The couches have rips in them, the light fixtures are literally falling out of the ceiling, the light above the dining table is missing, the bulbs in the bathrooms flicker like a horror film.
There is SO much potential for this property, but it needs a few thousand dollars in maintenence & repairs to be rented out. The grounds were pretty and serene. The kitchen was well stocked with everything youd need.
We asked for a discount to account for our lost items due to the septic and have been ignored. We also asked for a discount due to the dishwashers, ignored
