NEWLY LISTED FOR AUTUMN - Crossaig Farm House is a beautiful traditional country house, set on the east side of the Kintyre Peninsula, West Coast Scotland, with magical sea views looking out over the Kilbrannan Sound to Arran. A wonderful base to explore Argyll and the Isles or to just relax, unwind and enjoy this stunning setting.
This lovingly restored five bedroom farm house combines modern stylish living with country charm for up to ten guests. Here you’ll find a memorable place to celebrate your special occasion or enjoy time with family and friends.
Interiors Beautifully appointed the interiors offer a perfect balance between contemporary style and traditional country comforts, filled with local Scottish artwork.
The ground floor features a variety of living rooms and spaces to enjoy. With two spacious sea facing sitting rooms, filled with colour and stylish interiors. For the quieter afternoons or cosy nights in both of the sitting rooms feature wood burning log fires. Starter basket of logs kindler and firelighters, seasonal only from September to June. (Please request for July - August).
Featuring an open plan kitchen and dining table for breakfasts or get-togethers throughout the day. This fully equipped kitchen features all your modern appliances to make cooking a joy. The adjoining dining and living area with panoramic window views makes for easy entertaining for up to ten guests.
At the rear entrance door there is a utility room for muddy boots and coats.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms Featuring a double bedroom on the ground floor with a shared family bathroom with walk-in shower. Perfect for anyone with accessibility issues.
Upstairs feature four beautifully appointed bedrooms - three spacious king-size bedrooms and a twin bedroom, all with quality furnishings and bed linen. A travel cot, high chair and stair gate are available.
The upstairs family bathroom has a bath with overhead shower. There is a second bathroom located on this floor with a walk-in shower.
Outside Outdoors guests have access to a spacious private woodland garden with outdoor furniture and a soft cover summerhouse. Enjoy relaxed afternoons soaking up the ever-changing vistas. Plenty of space for children to play.
Just a short walk away is the private beach area and surrounding paths to explore while you can enjoy spectacular views across Kilbrannan Sound to Arran. The woodlands is a haven for wildlife, so look out for deer, red and black grouse and many birds of prey.
The property is next to the owners privately owned working farm and country estate.
The sheltered east coast of Kintyre, has fabulous views over to Arran. Places of interest include the heritage centre, the tannery which produces a range of sheepskin products and the 12th century Saddell Abbey in the quaint fishing village of Carradale and the extensive ruins of the 13th century Skipness Castle near the village of Skipness.
Explore Crossaig Farm House sits on the east coast of Kintyre peninsula, 14 miles south of the idyllic village of Tarbert where you will discover an array of cafés, bars and local art galleries.
From the Tarbert harbour you can catch one of the regular car ferry crossings to Portavadie and explore the Cowal Peninsula. The beautiful islands of Arran, Islay, Gigha and Jura are easily accessible from nearby ferry ports. Head south for the Mull of Kintyre with white sandy beaches and magnificent golf courses, or north to Kilmartin Glen steeped in history and archaeological sites. The Campbeltown Distilleries, and Inveraray Jail and Castle also make for great days out. It's also an easy day trip to Oban, one of the seafood capitals of Scotland.

Access: The property has an interior staircase to the upper bedrooms. Stairgate available.

Exzellent House in beautiful countryside
We (2 families) stayed a week in this really nice and cozy accomodation. We found everything we needed, the kitchen was really well equipped, the 3 bathroomes were new and very nice. The furnishings of the rooms are really great, we really felt at home in this house.
The surrounding is exceptional and nice quite and every day we enjoyed the view to the ocean.
There was a small problem with the shower at the start, but the caretaker took immediately care of it.
We would come back any Time.

Beautiful location and wonderful home
Our stay at Crossaig Farm house was delightful. It’s in the perfect location for so many little drives or cycles that take you to the most glorious beaches. The house itself was beautifully decorated and very spacious with plenty of room for our family. We stayed at the perfect time as we got to see all of the new lambs on the surrounding fields. The view from the property down the open fields and then out onto the water is stunning and so peaceful. Lynne has the place in lovely condition and could not have been more helpful. Thank you so much.
