Welcome to The Old Vicarage Garden Apartment, an exquisite residence set along the scenic cliff path of Shanklin Old Village. With breathtaking, uninterrupted views stretching across Shanklin Bay, through to Whitecliff, and over to Luccombe Chine, this stunning retreat is the perfect blend of grandeur and comfort.



After a day of exploring the Isle of Wight, kick back with a drink in hand as you watch boats glide along the coastline from your private garden, or challenge the family to a competitive game of Pool in the Family Games Room. Thoughtfully designed for families, this luxurious apartment offers a unique touch of fun—including a built-in slide from one of the beds in the triple room, ensuring endless excitement for younger guests.



Either side of the accommodation are hotels which have swimming pools which are open to the public (*subject to availability, charges may apply).



As the night draws in, you can meander along the cliff path or into Shanklin Old Village, where you can explore beautiful Chine, with its stunning waterfalls, or head for dinner in one of the popular thatched Pubs.

ACCOMMODATION

The accommodation is arranged over two levels



GROUND FLOOR

As you enter the magnificent property at ground level you are welcomed into the hall off which leads a fabulous kitchen offering an electric aga and a freestanding oven in which cook up some memorable family meals, a dinning room, games room, wc and a double bedroom. This level also has the gorgeous garden room with stunning views out to sea.



LOWER GROUND FLOOR

The lower ground floor has 1 double bedroom and further 2 rooms each with 3 single beds.



OUTSIDE

Large gardens offer plenty of space for outside dining or just to soak up the coastal vista.



To side of the property there is parking for 2 cars.



WHEN BOOKING THE UPPER APARTMENT ALONGSIDE THE GARDEN APARTMENT, THE TWO UNITS CAN COMFORTABLY ACCOMMODATE UP TO 20 GUESTS. THE UPPER APARTMENT MIRRORS THE SAME LAYOUT, ENSURING A SPACIOUS EXPERIENCE FOR ALL GUESTS.

PLEASE NOTE:



Guests can choose to either pay a non-refundable damage waiver of £100 or provide a pre-authorised security deposit of £500 before check-in.

If the security deposit option is selected, no money will be taken unless damage is reported at the property within 7 days after departure.



There is no electric car charger on site and guests are prohibited from using the mains electric in the property to charge a car. If it becomes apparent a car is being charged, then the guest may be charged an additional amount to cover the extra cost.



IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

The Island Holiday Company are responsible for the full management of this property and should you need to contact us during your stay we are available between 9-5 Monday to Friday, We also operate an out of hours emergency service on the weekends - please refer to your property brochure left inside the property, for further information and contact details.



No stag or hen parties are permitted at any of our properties.



There is a strict no smoking/vaping policy, inside all our properties.



Linens and towels are provided, but please bring your own beach towels as necessary.

A great base for two families to explore the Isle of Wight

The old vicarage was extremely spacious with lovely gardens - perfect for two families to spend time together. We especially enjoyed the lovely sea views from the veranda - a great place to relax with a glass of wine while the children played football or bounced on the trampoline. The apartment was also perfectly located - a short walk from the beach/minigolf and a range of good restaurants, and easy access to the various sights of the Isle of Wight. We visited a different place each day, with highlights including The Needles, Osborne House, and the model village at Godshill. The beds were also extremely comfortable!

Dreamy stay at The Old Vicarage, Shanklin

The Old Vicarage garden apartment is just beautiful and has that wow factor the moment you arrive and open the door. We loved sitting on the veranda or in the conservatory with a cuppa or cocktail and looking out across the stunning gardens at the sea views of Shanklin and beyond. The apartment is huge and beautifully decorated throughout to retain its period grandeur with antique pieces of furniture, fixtures and fittings. The younger members of the family thoroughly enjoyed the trampoline and climbing area, the tree swing and the pool table. The house is a short walk to the beach which is perfect for families - great sand for castle building, gently shelving and clean waters. The dishwasher was unfortunately out of order, awaiting a part. These things happen but with 10 of us, it was a lot to wash up every meal. The holiday company were keen to rectify this though so I’m sure it’ll easily be sorted. The kitchen is missing a few additional things that are useful when cooking. Nothing major and I’m sure will quickly be sorted.

Wonderful holiday, will definitely return.

The location of the Old Vicarage is perfect. You can walk down to the beautiful sandy beach, to the shops and restaurants on the high street and to the picturesque Shanklin old village. Set back from the road and hidden behind the majestic St Saviours church, the Old Vicarage is in a quite and peaceful location and has stunning seaviews. The accommodation is very spacious, we were two families and there was a lot of room for everyone to enjoy. Especially the really big garden with kids play area and huge trampoline. The Island Holiday Company was really helpful and responsive and provided a great service. We will definitely be going back to the Old Vicarage. It exceeded our expectations a fantastic location, a beautiful historic building, spacious accommodation and fabulous seaviews. Nothing, we had a great time and thought we got a lot of holiday for the price.
