Gorgeous 4BR Beach House with Private Beach Access.

This newly renovated home offers the perfect family/friends getaway. It has 4 bedrooms (3 queen beds and a twin bunk bed), a granite kitchen, new appliances, new washer and dryer, dining area, living room, bar, gas fireplace, central air/heat, TVs in living room and bar with cable and WiFi, and outdoor gas grill. House newly furnished with a modern retro flair. Walking in this sweet house, you can't help but to feel happy. Everything is provided for you, including clean linens, towels, blankets, cooler, beach bag, beach chairs, etc. The cozy covered front porch sits right in the heart of this beach community and has ocean views. This home is a 250 ft. walk to a private beach (deeded beach rights) and a 5 min walk to a local beach club, a fish market, 4 restaurants and bars, and a liquor store. The town also has 2 popular breweries and an awesome down town area full of shops and restaurants. This property is a 10-15 minute Uber ride to New Haven, or a 5 minute ride to Branford's Shoreline East train station for connections through New Haven to Boston, Springfield, New York, or Washington D.C.

There is plenty to see and do within a 2 mile radius of this home, or you may choose to stay in and enjoy the comforts of this home while cooking a meal or sitting on the upper enclosed porch or the lower open porch and watching the sunset. It has everything you need and more; games for the kids and adults, kitchenware, blow dryer, soap and shampoo.

All you have to do to start your vacation is pick a date and arrive. Everything is here for your enjoyment. You will leave feeling totally relaxed and looking forward to your next stay at this lovely beach home. Please note that late June through Labor Day are weekly rentals only (Sat-Sat). Dates are flexible the remainder of the year.

A wonderful home and great location

We loved our stay at this beautiful cottage. The entire experience was very smooth, from pre-check in to getting there and even offers to help with anything we needed in our stayThe cottage is very cozy and well-cared for. Great Family Getaway

We had a great time visiting with family that lived in the area. Location is great, very close to area restaurants. The house was clean and comfortable. We loved the porch for relaxing in the evenings and the short walk to small private beach.

Cute little house, and great for a little weekend away. It is not obvious from the listing, but it is located on a busy road, and the beach is across the street. The owner was great to work with and the house was very clean and comfortable.

Comfortable Summer Cottage for year round use

My husband and I stayed in this lovely home for a long weekend while attending the Soundside music festival. It was perfect for what we were looking for; comfortable beds, equipped kitchen and nice location. We had the entire private beach to ourselves. The owners were also quick to respond to all questions.

A Great Getaway

We were looking for a place to visit during this summer of COVID. We wanted to avoid crowds but enjoy some time at the beach. During the week, the beach had very few people. The house was very close to the beach. We had four adults and one child. There was plenty of room. We had a great stay!

Lovely home

This home was perfect for our needs. We grew up in Branford and we’re back to visit family. It was nice to be so close with a little room to spread out. We took our 2 young grandchildren with us and we’re so grateful for the gates for the stairs! Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was comfortable. Parking was tight but owner makes that clear up front so wasn’t a problem for us. We look forward to staying again in the future!

We were hoping to enjoy sunsets on the porch. Unfortunately, the patio furniture was less than comfortable and clean. Cushions were dirty and torn, only 2 chairs around the table had cushions. The property has great potential, it is in need of a spring cleaning. Hair on the beds, mold in the washing machine, front porch needs to be hosed off and the shrub around the porch tended.

We really enjoyed our 4 days in Branford. Everyone was so friendly. Enjoyed lobster at Lenny’s and the guacamole at Guacamole’s was excellent!! The town is very nice. We also went to the Branford Art Center and chatted with Yvonne. And don’t miss The Rock Garden gift shop. And cappuccino and caprese at Pasta Cosi wonderful. The vrbo owner Liz was a text away if we needed anything. The beds were soooo comfortable. Liz added so many little touches, we felt very pampered. Hope to come back some day!!

The perfect weekend, getaway with friends

our annual girls (5) trip took us to Branford, CT this year. It was awesome to have a private beach access even though we couldn’t get in the water, but it was great for strolls and shell collecting. Would definitely do better with a second bathroom, but we managed just fine. Overall, it’s a nice little place to stay for a getaway. My only issue is not with the hosts or place, but with one of the fees and the checkout process. However, it does not take away from our stay.

Easy access to the beach

Thanks, Elizabeth and Bob for our stay at your house! We loved the location in beautiful Branford and enjoyed the easy access to the beach. Bob was extremely responsive, making check-in seamless. It was great to have four separate bedrooms, each equipped with comfortable bedding. It's worth noting that the bedrooms are each separated by only a thin sheet of board through which sound and light escape, meaning there's little privacy. The house has few frills; for example, the hand soap in both the kitchen and bathroom was extremely watered down. But if you're looking for a basic place to stay near the beach, this fits the bill.

Great location for a getaway

Our family loved the house--it was the perfect "homebase" for our day trips to New York City and Boston. The beach access was lovely for short walks on the beach and one traditional spring break dip in the ocean for two of our daughters (way too cold to swim--or for most of us to even put a foot in). Our girls found the beds very comfortable; they're on the softer side for us, but they were cozy and rooms are well appointed. There were plenty of towels for our family of five to shower and dry off after that ocean dip. The kitchen had a lot of pans and dishes for a cottage, though some simple seasonings and bags or wrap for leftovers would be a nice touch. Communication with the property managers was great. They were informative, responsive, clear, and friendly. If we're back in the area, we'd be happy to stay again.

Didn’t want to leave!

We didn’t want to leave after our week stay… so we didn’t! Bob didn’t have his place available but we found another because this area is magic, we loved it. Bobs place was perfect, checked all the boxes and more! Park on the right side of house on the gravel part of that driveway. Your rear view mirror should almost touch the house, just enough space for person to get out carefully. The paved part is for neighbors to come and go.It was totally fine to unload and then park tighter. We made friends, had a blast and slept so so well. Thank you Bob!!!!

We absolutely love Branford. My husband grew up spending his summers in Branford with his parents. As adults, we would visit often, but always dreaded having to leave. We started our family later in life having 2 boys in our late 30s and early 40s. The boys love visiting "Mama" in Branford and swimming at her beach. So in 2016 we decided to start looking for a house along the shore. Within a few months of searching, we purchased a home on Limewood Beach (just a few hundred yards away from this one) and fell in love with the neighborhood.

Five months later, we purchased this beach house with the intention of completely rebuilding it. We converted this house from a seasonal cottage to a year-round home. EVERYTHING in the home is new, from the floors to the ceilings. New kitchen, bathroom, HVAC, fireplace, siding, roof, porch, appliances, water main, on-demand hot water heater, smoke alarms, CO detectors, and outside shower. It is our dream to one day pass down these nearby homes to our two sons so that they can be close to each other while raising their children and grandchildren along the shore.

Why they chose this property

The CT shoreline is a beautiful place to enjoy all 4 seasons from. The ocean has a calming and relaxing effect all year round. This property is ideal because it has been completely remodeled with brand new everything. It's 250 feet from the beach and we have deeded beach rights. The people in this beach community are very laid back and friendly. It feels as if stress doesn't exist along the beach... The home is situated in a perfect location and you can do everything from fishing, canoeing and kayaking to just relaxing on the new porch and enjoying the water views. There are 5 local restaurants and bars a half-mile walk from the house, and you will see lots of people walking, jogging, skateboarding, and bicycling along the beach to and from these local restaurants.

What makes this property unique

Close proximity to everything. Located 5 minutes from the Branford train station, 10 minutes from the airport, and 15 minutes from the New Haven train station makes this destination a possibility for those who want to come from all over without a car. Uber and a comfortable pair of sandals is all you need to get around to all of the local attractions.
