A group of old friends and I stayed at this wonderful house in Clinton for our annual Columbus day weekend gathering. From the moment I viewed the photos of this place, I knew it was special. And it certainly was. It was clean, open, inviting and just perfect for a weekend of cooking, playing guitar, carving pumpkins, and reminiscing. The host was excellent, communication was timely, kind and very accomodating. While the beautiful property was quiet and rustic, there were plenty of stores nearby to grab anything we needed. The beach is nearby too!This property is really perfect for a large family or group of friends. With an open living area and several private bedrooms, it provided the perfect atmosphere for our gathering. I would certainly, and hope to stay here again!

The home is beautiful. It is very quiet and serene, Zen like. Everywhere you look there is something special to see. The home is situated in the middle of a forest, but close to everything. Absolutely everything you needed or wanted was there. Beautiful furnishings and art. Cathy was very responsive and flexible. We would absolutely look forward to staying here again. We were here with our three-year-old granddaughter, her parents and our daughter. We all loved it.

Serene Oasis

This property was exceptional. It’s a peaceful oasis in the woods while being convenient to local attractions. The hosts made it very comfortable and inviting. Plenty of room for 2 couples or family of 6. Would highly recommend.

I highly recommend this property. We were a family of six adults, a 4-yr-old, 16-month-old and a 6-month-old. The home was spacious, including the bedrooms that each “sub family” occupied. The house is well equipped—the host thought of everything we could possibly need to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. It was truly a home away from home! I appreciated the extra no-shoes-in-the-house rule—just another plus to this immaculately well-kept, clean home. The only extra I might recommend is a baby gate for the stairs to the basement and to put away any breakables, valuables or keepsakes to keep children from being tempted to touch, grab or play with them. Thank you to the host for providing one of the, if not the most comfortable vacation rental properties to date!

This charming retreat was calm , peaceful and perfect for our family of 8. It was the most well stocked short term rental we have ever stayed. Everything but a few groceries were there for us. Cathy was a fantastic host. She responded almost instantly when I asked a question. Thank you

Lovely site. Very calm and Peaceful, Pleasant babbling brook sounds. Enjoyed the hiking trails right behind the house. The house was well equipped with everything needed: salt, poncho, toilet paper, bandages, etc. No need to run out. Totally prepared kitchen with plates, pots, tools. Everything needed was there. Simple check-in. Cathy is very easy to work with.

Off the road in a quiet wooded grove, the property met all our family needs and was just a short drive from conveniences. Our hosts were responsive to our inquiries and generous with an earlier checkin!
