Esta excepcional casa de vacaciones de 3 dormitorios y 2. 5 baños descansa en la principal costa sur de Sugar Lake, ubicada a solo unas pocas millas de Grand Rapids. What an awesome place! We spent most of our time on the main floor with the huge kitchen and cozy living room. The master bedroom and master bath are comfortable, spacious and first class. It's updated throughout and we really enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful retreat

Our family came up to the area for a grad party. This beautiful home enabled us to be together and share meals and relaxation. We even managed to get some fishing done off the dock. We slept wonderfully and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The house was clean and nicely updated. The elevation to the lake was flat and easy to access, and the lake was beautiful. Mostly sand and crystal clear.

Labor Day Getaway

Beautiful house on a beautiful lake. Plenty of space for together and alone time. Kitchen had plenty of cooking items. My oldest kid loved the ping pong table in the basement. Weather didn’t allow for a lot of time in the water but we still had a lot of fun!

Best Trip ever

3 others and I made a trip out to this beautiful home for a weekend getaway and it became one of the funniest trips we’ve all had. Beautiful lake, where you can rent a boat, golfing near by, 15 min from town for groceries and everything else. Couldn’t have asked for anything better.

Wonderful Getaway

Spent the weekend here to have quality time with family that live in the Rapids area - great space, right on the water, plenty of room and very family friendly. Baby gates installed on the stairs which was fantastic with 4 kids 3 and under. Well-stocked kitchen with professional-grade appliances made family meals an extra treat. Master bed/bath upstairs is very large and nice to have a little space between our two families. Communication with the owner was open and friendly. Hoping to come back in summer when we can enjoy the lake more!

First time using an Air B&B

This was our first time using an Air B&B, and this property didn’t disappoint. It was absolutely beautiful and clean. Quiet neighborhood and very relaxing. The master bathroom shower was amazing with its multiple shower heads. Plenty of room for our family of 4 and my sister in laws family of 4. There was plenty of room for the kids to play and have fun. There was plenty of dishes and other amenities. The beds were comfortable. Kyle was a great host and very friendly. We would definitely use this property again if it is available.

Brief stay

We really enjoyed our stay and the property was great. However there are some quirky things about the property that people should be aware of. The kitchen and lakefront are the stars of this property. The basement is the downside. The floor in the basement is similar to a garage floor, not really finished and our young girls didn’t want to sleep down there because it was too cold. There were also many outlets throughout that didn’t work. Another issue is the lack of a kitchen table. There was a plastic half table and folding chairs that were not made for a dining room and not comfortable to sit on for an extended period of time. We ended up sitting at the kitchen counter which was okay. Otherwise our stay was great and Kyle was really great and easy to work with.

A little slice of Heaven

Kyle’s place is amazing. Immaculately clean with all the comforts of home and then some. The gormet kitchen is just as it is pictured and is stocked with everything a person could need. Plus a really nice gas grill on the deck which we used for most of our meals. Beds are really comfortable and the master bathroom is spectacular (shower and soaking tub). The lake is crystal clear and great for swimming and water sports. Finding fish was a bit of a challenge due to the unseasonably warm temps, but we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect week at the lake. I even got to see the northern lights during my stay. The house is on the south shore so it made for perfect viewing of the northern lights from the deck and the dock. Kyle communicated extremely well for checkin and checkout and responded quickly to any questions we had during our stay. This property exceeded all my expectations. Can hardly wait to come back!

Worth EVERY penny!

This is a beautiful house inside. Very well done and updated. Kyle was an exceptional host. We had a fantastic time and the lake was so quiet and clean. Born and raised in MN and family in the Grand Rapids area and I had no idea we had lakes this beautiful. The yard was perfect for games. Lots of great family memories were made at our time at this property. We will certainly be back. Recommendations for future travelers: Bring some chairs to sit by the fire pit. Don't worry there isn't a dining table inside. Use the back steps/door to bring in/out luggage ( front steps are steep ). Clean the grease trap before you use the grill :-) AND most of all remember you are on vacation and you picked the perfect place!

Fantastically clean and spacious home on Sugar Lake

A group of us stayed in this lovely home on Sugar Lake so that we could attend Grand Rapids Riverfest. This stay was the icing on the cake for a great weekend. It is fantastically clean which is always a priority for me. We also wanted to be near Grand Rapids. Kyle was super communicative and assured me it was a great place to stay for the festival given the proximity to Grand Rapids and he was right! Kyle also made us feel right at home with an easy phone call to help us get settled in. On top of being near Grand Rapids, the home is spacious. With four bedrooms on three different floors, a living room, and a very large open kitchen the six of us were able to relax and unwind after work week and able to start enjoying our weekend right away. There is great outdoor space with a deck and a large lawn. We did not utilize the lake but it is beautifully clear! The kitchen has all the appliances and tools you need to prepare meals. A bonus is that it is near some mountain bike trails that my husband took advantage of each morning. We highly recommend this and plan to return. Thanks, Kyle for helping us enjoy the weekend!

Peaceful retreat

While the first impression leaves a little to be desired, the overall property, interior and location make this a premium place to vacation. First, Sugar Lake is one of the clearest and quietest lakes in Minnesota. It is not a huge lake, but that adds to its charm as we were never bothered by noise or wake or other people on the water. There is plenty of shallow water with sand near the shore of this property. The backyard offers plenty of room to hang out by the fire pit or toss the football (found in the garage). The deck is elevated and offers a great view of the lake and backyard. And then the inside is amazing. We have been staying in timeshares and vacation rentals for over ten years and we think this kitchen and inside was the best stocked of any we have ever stayed in. There was saran wrap, paper towels, serving spoons, cookware, and just about everything else you could imagine. And Kyle was a most gracious host. We spoke over the phone on the first night and he was more than accommodating. Checking in and checking out were all super easy and he shared the plans he has for this place in the future. We had two families of four and we had enough room for us all to play and relax. The only thing missing is a dining room table and enough inside dinner chairs for everyone but the weather was perfect and were able to eat outside. I highly recommend this place for a large group or a couple families as the ping pong and bunk beds offer a charm not found many other places. Thank you Kyle!!

Perfect lake weekend getaway

BOOK! The sweetest stay. We booked this lake weekend getaway for my best friends 30th birthday celebration -it was her dream to celebrate with her closest friends @ the lake and this stay went above & beyond to meet all of our needs! Loved our stay!

From check-in to check-out this property was perfect for our family! The linens were clean and smelt good. The house was well stocked with the basics. The appliances are all top notch! We would definately stay here again.
