As you arrive, you'll be greeted by a galvanized metal covered structure, a unique feature that sets this property apart. Step onto the flagstone-covered front patio, and take a moment to soak in the panoramic vistas of Joshua Tree National Park in the distance. Keep an eye out for our resident roadrunner, known to make appearances and add to the enchantment of your stay.

Inside the homestead, you'll discover a contemporary interior designed to provide a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The two bedrooms offer cozy sleeping arrangements, with a queen bed in the master bedroom and a full bed in the second bedroom. Pretty desert retreat

This is a lovely, treed and peaceful place. Great place to get away from the noise and the traffic. Close to Joshua Tree National Park and the Mojave National Preserve.

An Oasis in the Desert!

Desert Oasis

This home is nice and secluded! It has 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The kitchen has nice apliances! We made dinners every night and enjoyed the kitchen. The sunrises over the mountains were breathtaking every morning. At night we star gazed and saw shooting stars. Its a perfect home to experience the desert peace!

Great place - Everything perfect

We enjoyed our stay in the main house. Had everything we needed very well stocked and appointed. Just a few minutes off the main road between Joshua Tree and 29 Palms but a world away in the peace of the desert. Park entrance 15 minutes and plenty of grocery stores and restaurant choices along the way. Very large property with plenty of space to wander and enjoy. Really appreciated all the effort that has been invested to make the place nice, comfortable and unique. Hope to return soon!

Enjoyable desert retreat

Lovely, fresh, and modern little house that is just the right size for three adults. Nice, "arty" decorations. Very quiet area. We were surprised by the steps between rooms inside the house, and had to remind ourselves of them so no one tripped. Not enough hot water for three successive showers, but the cold water felt good anyway. Well-supplied kitchen, and lovely outdoor spaces. Not as hard to find as the detailed directions might indicate. We really enjoyed our (short) time here.

Clean and quiet

The property is about 10-15 minutes north of 29 Palms and about the same distance from JTNP. The kitchen is very well-equipped (excellent appliances), and the house overall is clean and tastefully furnished. There are a total of 3 units on the property, and if all were occupied it would feel less secluded; none were while we were there. There is no tv, but the wifi service is excellent. There are a couple miles of dirt road to get to the property, but easily passable without 4 wheel drive. Very enjoyable!

Silence and star gazing

The property was exactly as described and pictured. I needed a couple days to just unplug and be quiet and the desert is really the perfect place for that. The night sky was lovely and the neighborhood was very quiet. There was no flying happening at the Marine base the days I was there which made it quiet both day and night. The electric car charger was a huge bonus as I did not need to go into town at all. Kitchen had everything I needed and I was able to pre-order farm fresh eggs which were there when I checked in. Patricia's communication was excellent. Than you!

Quiet Desert Stay

Two nights was not enough! Loved the peace and quiet even though just a short drive to town and Joshua Tree NP. House was clean and well stocked with comfortable furnishings and beds. Directions were spot on. Sunset and night sky was amazing. Nearby Cactus Trails Cafe was a delicious spot for breakfast on the way to Joshua Tree.

Adventure at Flying Homestead

Our group of 4 adults enjoyed our stay at Flying Homestead very much. This property is wonderfully decorated and very well supplied with everything you need. We loved the remote location but yet it is convenient for all activities in the area. Communication with the host was excellent and checkin/out was very easy. We would highly recommend Flying Homestead and would definitely stay here again.

A most wonderful desert getaway

The house was beautiful, spacious, clean, and came with all the amenities one would need for a two week's stay. It was also secluded enough from the nearby town so we truly felt like we were "out there," although, the bustling town was only a 15 minute drive with all the grocery shops, cute thrift-stores, bars etc, one could ask for...Oh, there is even a really cool record shop in Twentynine Palms proper that I must recommend called White Label Vinyl. Super cool find! All in all, a wonderful stay, and we would rebook in a heartbeat! Thank you! <3
