Welcome to Island Sands 109 on beautiful Okaloosa Island! As new owners we are excited and pleased to share our little piece of heaven with our guests. We hope the attention to detail and the many extras will encourage you to consider unit 109 as your next destination for fun and relaxation.

Perfectly situated near the west end of Okaloosa Island in the small complex of Island Sands, this oceanfront ground floor western corner condo is only steps to the private dune walkover and wide pristine beach. The condo’s double sliding glass doors and extra windows give you a wonderful expansive view of tropical landscaping and palm trees.

* FREE beach service of two chairs and one umbrella for guests staying from March 1st to October 31st.

The 1st floor condo has its own private entrance and sidewalk. No stairs to climb or crowded elevators to wait on, making unloading luggage and groceries quick and easy.

You’ll have your own numbered parking space near the door. There’s also extra unassigned parking for your guests.

Keyless entry makes for a safe and convenient entrance. No keys to keep up with and return at the end of your stay.


Step outside onto your own large private patio and enjoy a quiet early morning cup of coffee. If grilling is your pleasure, you've come to the right place. Pull the Weber grill onto the large grassy area and have your own cookout preparing steaks, burgers, or fresh seafood from the local seafood markets. Plenty of space for your little ones to run and play on the lawn while you relax on the patio. You can also store any extra Beach gear here instead of having to store it in your upstairs condo or car.


The roomy light filled open living area has a queen size sofa sleeper, love seat, ceiling fan, HDTV, and DVD player. The adjacent dining area has comfortable seating for four at the large table as well as extra seating at the social bar.


The full kitchen is well stocked with everything you might need to prepare meals if you should choose to cook. You’ll enjoy the new stainless appliances including a smooth top stove with convection oven. The microwave is full size - not one of the small countertop models. The dishwasher is so quiet you often won’t even know it’s on! The refrigerator is large enough for all your storage needs and comes complete with an ice maker. New small appliances include a new Ninja blender, Mr. Coffee 12 cup coffee maker, Crock Pot, and toaster. The kitchen lighting is new and features motion sensitive under counter lighting to fully illuminate the beautiful granite counter tops. The open view into the living/dining area and to the outside patio makes sure the cook doesn’t miss out on conversation or activities.

The adjacent laundry closet has a new louvered door which gives convenient easy access to the new full size LG washer and dryer.


The serene master bedroom hosts a comfortable king size bed with silky smooth sheets and plenty of extra pillows. It also includes an HDTV, DVD player, radio alarm clock, ceiling fan, plenty of closet space, and an attached private half bath. The large window lets in welcome natural light but is also equipped with a new black out Levolor blind for those who want to sleep in or nap. (After all, you’re on vacation!)


A full bath with tub and shower is centrally located in the condo just off the hallway. The new curved shower curtain rod makes for a more roomy shower. We also have a new 40 gallon water heater for plenty of hot water.


Our large gated crystal clear pool is located steps from the condo. It has both women’s and men’s bathrooms in the bathhouse as well as an outside shower. There are plenty of chaise lounges for sunning and well as picnic tables for a poolside meal.


Much of the art and decor accents are one of a kind and are from the owners' private collection. Paintings by Florida artist Morris Johnson convey the feeling of laid back fun sure to be experienced during your stay.


*Located in the living area armoire are baskets of popular DVD's and a large variety of books for teens thru adults as well as puzzles for a rainy day.

*Children will enjoy having a book basket of their own, beach toys in the patio toy box, and several dvds chosen especially for them.

*Two extra beach chairs for early morning sunrise or evening sunset viewing and relaxing are located in the master bedroom closet.

*For those who prefer grilling next to the pool there is a grassy grilling area with several grills and picnic tables.

* We have a new bike rack for those who bring their own bikes or rent bikes. It is next to the parking space for your condo.

Hi! We are Judy and Chris Burcham. We are parents and grandparents who love spending time with our family - especially at our condo! It is truly a dream come true for me. Since I first saw the ocean over 50 years ago I knew I wanted a place at the beach. Island Sands 109, was perfect for our family of 3. Very clean, well decorated and everything you would need. We found it very convenient being located on the ground level and it made it very easy to be able to grab all the sand toys, cooler and beach necessities and just walk to the beach not worrying about steps or elevators.

Island Sands 109 was Perfect.

The condo was perfect!! Our family of 4 enjoyed everything about this vacation. Judy had sent an email with some things to do and places to eat that was wonderful. We did miss the beach view but the ease of coming and going from the first floor made up for it. Within about 10-20 steps out the backdoor you could be on the boardwalk to the beach and see the incredible view. Every morning the beach chairs and umbrella were set up and waiting there was no crowd and fighting for space, the beach was really a dream come true. Judy was a dream to work with from start to finish. I can't say enough about how nice and helpful she is.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Island Sands! The condo was very nice, well appointed, tastefully decorated and clean! The location of the condo was the best we've stayed in Fort Walton. We highly recommend it!

Beautiful sand, sun and emerald green water

Judy and Chris we really enjoyed our stay! Your condo remodel is beautiful and so clean. "Oh my goodness" that emerald green water, what a treasure from God! Awesome view to sit and watch the waves. We saw dolphins several different days, which was a treat to catch glimpses of them in the ocean. The fireworks show was a surprise treat that we enjoyed as well. The large pool was clean and refreshing. We had a great week and look forward to booking another stay soon.
