“Margie’s Hideaway” boasts stunning lake and mountain views from nearly every window. Situated on a private cul-de-sac in the desirable lower elevations of Incline Village on Tahoe's north shore; minutes from the beaches, championship golf courses, Diamond Peak Ski Area, mountain biking, hiking, etc. Stay in a classic-Tahoe, private, wood-cabin setting while enjoying modern amenities such as wi-fi internet access , cable TV, DVD player, flat-screen TV's (upstairs and downstairs), gas fireplace upstairs. Beautifully appointed super-clean interior with huge beams, traditional Tahoe furnishings and updated kitchen. Master bedroom upstairs; downstairs is a second bedroom and family room with a fireplace and an adjacent sleeping alcove/bedroom area with a new queen bed and a set of bunk beds (lower bed is a double). You will enjoy lounging, having a morning cup of coffee, or eating on one of the two decks overlooking the lake. (Gas bbq and gas fire table on property.) The open floor plan of this charming 1,900 square foot home lends itself well to socializing. Situated amidst many mature pines; open the windows in the summertime and relax to the sounds of nearby cascading Incline Creek. Only 45-minute drive, or less to Reno, Carson City, Truckee, South Lake Tahoe, Northstar Resort, Palisades Tahoe (Squaw Valley) and many other points of interest. You will want to come back again and again! (Please see Reviews!)

Perfect mountain cabin with unbeatable views

Amazing property with unbeatable views of Lake Tahoe. We were blown away by the proximity to Diamond Peak. The decor is older but adds to the charm and was extremely clean and well equipped. The kids loved the downstairs bunk/game room and it was an ideal home for our vacation. We hope to return one day!

Gorgeous views, very comfortable home

We had a family stay during the Christmas break, and it was amazing. We loved just relaxing and enjoying the views of the lake. The home is very cozy, very well maintained, and perfectly clean. The host was very responsive and accommodating. I loved everything about our stay, and I'd love to come back again.

Clean and cozy cabin and great hosts

The property is wonderful. It is true to the description and pictures. It is in a quiet, pretty neighborhood and close to the town and beaches. It was well-appointed and clean. The owners were welcoming, a delight to work with and responded fast. We felt like family friends staying there. We would love to stay again someday, if possible.

Perfect Spot!!!

We could not have chosen a better property for our stay. The home was immaculate and the view was worth the price!!! It felt like the best view in the neighborhood. We stepped back into 1969 with the decor and absolutely loved it! The kitchen and island were updated, the beds comfortable, the bathrooms pristine and colorful. There was plenty of room to socialize on both floors. Everything was as described. There is a large grocery/liquor store within a few minutes drive, in Raley's Shopping Center. Within that complex, there was a lovely little, casual Italian restaurant, Azzara's. This eatery was reasonably priced, especially for the area. It felt "local" and the food was delicious! Ron, our host, was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We searched for a place on the north side of Lake Tahoe because we had to commute to Reno for the first couple of days, which was an easy and scenic 40-45 minute drive. We spent the rest of our trip hiking and there were endless choices. Luckily, we chose to stay on the calmer side of the lake. The northwest side is definitely more crowded and touristy. Since we tend to like "peace and quiet", we could not have chosen a more perfect location in this beautiful neighborhood. Even though there were homes on either side, while on the deck, with all of the trees, it felt like a cabin in the woods. A huge added plus was the sound of a nearby waterfall. I cannot recommend this home enough! You will not be disappointed!

Great VRBO

We had a wonderful stay at Marge’s Hideaway. The home is very comfortable and clean. The view of the lake from the house and deck are great. The home was exactly as listed and the owners were friendly and responded to our questions politely and promptly. We would definitely stay there again.

Classic Tahoe cabin with amazing views

Very well cared for older Tahoe cabin with incredible views from all parts of the cabin. Lovely full lake views from the beautiful deck. Same gorgeous view from the living area and even lake views from the upstairs queen bed! Enjoy the sounds of the running creek nearby as well. House was very well equipped with everything you need. Nice downstairs area with family room, plenty of beds and separate bedroom. Very cozy cabin in a great location and lovely neighborhood.

Beautiful location

The cabin is beautiful, lots of space, clean and located in a beautiful location. The view of the lake was amazing from the cabin. Very easy check in. The owner were very helpful and nice and available. We had a great time and will not hesitate book again.

Will stay there again

Great property - as described, although on the older, rustic side. Plenty of space, good distant views of the lake, wood burning fireplace and good location. We had fewer people in our party than originally planned and was very comfortable. 30 min drive to Northstar for skiing, but Diamond peak is much closer.

Perfect Getaway

This was my first VRBO stay and I did a ton of research before choosing this lovely home. It was absolutely perfect for me. First and foremost, the location and view were exactly what I was hoping for. Quiet neighborhood, and I spent most of my time sitting on the deck overlooking the lake and trees. Super clean property with everything you could need. Working with Ron was a pleasure - he was very responsive and so welcoming. And I loved seeing and reading about the history of the home. The pictures in the album reminded me of my own family photos. I can't wait to come back soon.

Lake Tahoe

We had a great time at this property. It was exactly as advertised. The hosts were so accommodating as we had to change our trip a couple of times due to fires and weather. We really appreciated their flexibility. The view from the house is beautiful and relaxing. The neighborhood was very quiet and it was easy access to everywhere we wanted to go. No complaints, we would definitely come again.

Large and Cozy Place with fantastic/unbelievable views

We could sit on top deck all day and enjoy the fantastic view of the Mountain Range / Trees and foremost the LAKE... Kitchen fully equipped, bathrooms were impeccable and plentiful extras of everything needed. Margies Hideaway provided excellent recommendations for nearby activities and restaurants. Owners were accessible and very accommodating.

Gorgeous views and beautiful home

Everything about our experience was wonderful. A huge snowstorm could have led to all kinds of complications, but the owners were incredibly communicative and flexible and helpful, and made sure that everything about our trip went smoothly from their end. The property is gorgeous inside and out, with an elegant-yet-cozy interior and stunning views of the lake. Spectacular sunsets. If you want a beautiful, comfortable, restful, restorative place to stay, look no further.

Beautiful house, amazing hosts!

The house itself is beautiful and has wonderful views of the lake. The hosts are also flexible, accommodating and kind - we got stranded due to a crazy snowstorm and we were able to work something out reasonably that allowed us to shelter there for an extra few days. Thanks Ron!
