Nice location, very peaceful.
Nice location, very peaceful. Home was everything we needed/expected. Could use more cookware in kitchen, but not a factor for us on this trip.
Condo is functional, not a great location compared to others on the island
While there was nothing inherently bad about the unit, this was not like other units we have rented on VRBO that were 4+ stars. Lots of updates are needed, especially in the bathroom. The place is functional and the owner's description is accurate, but it needs some TLC. Another issue we had is the location. Yes, there is a beachfront view and it was neat to see the dolphins from our deck throughout the day. However because this is on the north side of Tybee Island, the only "waves" that are coming in are generated by boats that pass by. The beach that this condo building sits on felt more like we were sitting by a lake than the ocean. It is much more private and not at all crowded compared to the public beach at Tybee, but the beach experience didn't compare to what one would normally expect when staying by the ocean. Owner was responsive when we had questions, just don't expect to be blown away by the location or the unit itself.
Loved the location! The bathroom was a little outdated, but the bed was very comfy and the whole place was clean.
Not for a 1 week stay.
1 week was a little much...............
Room was adequate for our stay. The room faces the Bay and not the ocean, bay water was quite murky. No surf in the bay if that's what you're needing for some water activities. Dolphins are present in the bay almost daily and fun to watch which was a plus. Bed was very comfy. Had to use the two bunk beds to store some of our clothes and suitcases as floor space is somewhat limited.
Negatives: Have to use a "PAY" laundromat room on the second floor. Not enough bath towels for a one week stay, had to do laundry often. The pay laundry room has no change machine so you need to drive into town to obtain change, which no one in town wants to give you change (quarters). The dryers were not very good at drying your clothes without spending about $4+ for a med. load. We just started taking our laundry into Tybee and used the town laundromat, inconvenient to say the least when one should be on the beach not sitting in a laundromat wait for their clothes to get done. Bath wash clothes, some we're paper thin, not enough towels for a 1 week stay without having to do laundry allot. Only 1 roll of T-Paper available & only 3 trash bags available, ran out of both fast and had to go into town and buy both out of our pocket. There is no garbage disposal so that adds to the trash needing to go out often. The curtain on the sliding door is a sheer type which lets the afternoon sun in. The room heats up very fast, needs a better sun blocking curtain.
Room was Very nice. Beach was quite. My husband and I love it. We will go back someday.
