Fully stocked kitchen, living room with tv (cable sports package + Roku + Blu-Ray) and audiophile speaker system, two additional bedrooms w/ queen beds, one with a tv and desk.
Outside: Sunshine, grassy yard, citrus orchard, lounging and eating areas (table seats 10) lit by market lights, large patio umbrella, gas bbq, fire pit, and lawn games. Incl. 2 off-street parking spaces and ample street parking.
The garden gets lots of sun and is a great space to grill, play games on the lawn, lay out in the sun, hang out by the fire pit and enjoy the coastal LA climate. We use the home frequently and have carefully appointed each space for entertainment, enjoyment, and with the needs of families in mind.
The house is centrally located on LA's Westside with easy access to Lincoln Blvd's eclectic shopping and dining, Abbott Kinney's famous restaurants, Rose Ave eateries, Mar Vista boutiques, and of course the beach - it's the perfect home base for whatever brings you to LA.
Our bungalow gracefully accommodates groups/families up to 7 people with plenty of space to gather and connect at the 8 person dining table, the 10 person outdoor table, or in the Living Room with multiple couches. The kitchen is perfect for entertaining, and kids or adults can hangout in the 3rd bedroom and watch a show or a favorite movie. Sportsnet LA is on both TVs so all Dodgers and Lakers games are available.
For business travelers -- Private workspace with desk in the 3rd Bedroom and an additional desk in the foyer area, with very fast Fibre Optic internet and wireless coverage for all areas of the house and yard. There are power strips at each nightstand for all of your charging needs.
For families with children -- We have a high chair, pack-n-play, blackout shades in all the bedrooms, and outlet covers available for your stay. There is a bathtub in the second bathroom. The back yard is secured by a privacy fence and has plenty of grass for running around. The front yard is also secure and includes a gate that can be closed across the driveway to make a safe play space for young children. Across the street from the house are the fields of the local middle school, and they can be accessed when more outdoor space is needed. The neighborhood is flat and ideal for strollers, scooters, skateboards, and bicycles.
For Entertaining -- The kitchen is equipped for serving groups and families of up to 14 people. We have a gas range, oven, microwave, dishwasher, Soda Stream, blender, coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster, hand mixer, a full set of pots and pans, baking supplies, and roasting pans. You are welcome to use the propane BBQ and fire pit in the backyard.
Extras -- Laundry facilities are also available and we are happy to provide beach chairs and towels, board games, and share our library of books about Los Angeles. We are excited to welcome you and are available to help make the most of your visit.

About Daniel McGilvray
My daughters and I love to visit our beach house in LA, especially with grandparents, cousins, and friends. We live in the San Francisco Bay Area and enjoy outdoor activities, BBQs, and fun at the beach!
Daniel McGilvray purchased this House in 2007
Why Daniel McGilvray chose Mar Vista
Feel free to ask any questions-- we've thought about every detail from childproof locking gates on all sides of the private back yard to power strips by each side of the beds and great wi-fi. Location is paramount and this house is close to it all. 10 min to beach, 20 min from LAX, 45 min to Disneyland, 45 min to Universal Studios, and a great architectural neighborhood for walking and biking. Lot's of family friendly activities and parks nearby, great brunch spots to walk to-- along with up and coming culinary scene on Washington Blvd, Lincoln Blvd, and Rose Ave. We provide bikes and boogie boards and beach toys, big yard with market lights and a firepit for nighttime BBQs-- wonderful comfortable place to hang out with family and friends. Quiet street just moments from all that the west side of Los Angeles has to offer.

We love going to Venice beach, riding bikes along the beach path to the Santa Monica Pier, and riding the roller coaster there. For adults and older kids, the Museum of Jurassic Technology is a must-see and totally unique. Our favorite neighborhood spots are: - Deus Ex Machina for coffee and a light brunch - The Mart Collective for vintage finds - Superba for lunch and getting immersed in the local scene - La Cabaña for family dinners - Helen's Bikes for week-long rentals - The Venice Beach Bike Path for runs and family rides
