I'm Tina Walter, my sister Lisa and I grew up in this house. We love it and enjoy having guests that will love it too. Mom and Dad bought it from the original owner/builder and we are always making changes and improvements to keep the house fresh, comfortable and enjoyable.
Tina Walter purchased this house in 1976
The beach house is quintessential Venice. Built in 1904 when Venice was in it's grand heyday. It's a great way to experience Venice and Los Angeles, in comfort and style.
The house is 2 houses from the sand, so swimming and playing on the beach are our favorite pastimes. We like to walk to our favorite local restaurants and people watch on the Venice Boardwalk. The house is great for casual entertaining.
We loved our stay in the Walton house. So comfy and cosy. Wonderful location for strolling through the canals up to Abbott Kinney, or along the beach. I would recommend it . Tina was absolutely wonderful to work and communicate with.
Thank you Tina,
Great location, very clean spacious home. Kitchen has everything you need.
We had a great stay at Tina's house! The proximity to the beach was wonderful. We would love to stay here again on our next trip out!
How can you resist seeing and hearing the ocean from the living room. The house is so quiet and comfortable it's hard to remember you're in a rental. My parents haven't stayed under the same roof for over 20 years (they're divorced) and they had a blast all because of this amazing property. Tina was so easy to work with and so responsive to my two minor issues that I was blown away. You very rarely get that kind of "customer service" anymore. My sister and I laughed as we truly couldn't find anything bad to say about this house. It really felt like home. The beds are comfy, slept like a rock. The house is very inviting, the outdoor space is beautiful. The area is so calm and quiet but a short walk and you're at the boardwalk buzz. Plenty of restaurants and stores nearby that we could walk to (we did not have a car). We had family over for dinner and it was so nice having parking right there. There is plenty of room in the house that no one felt cramped. My nieces really enjoyed the hot tub, so much that I didn't get a chance to get in! You know this house has it when even the locals comment on what a great place and location it is. I would, and have, recommend this property to anyone who is looking to have a fabulous beach vacation.
If I could give ten stars to this property I would. All I can say is STAY HERE, you will not be disappointed.
Thank you Tina for your outstanding hospitality and opening your home to us.
Our family of four just spent a delightful week at the Walter Beach House and came home feeling relaxed, refreshed and rejuvenated! Located less than a block from the sand, and a few blocks south of the famous Venice Beach boardwalk with it's small shops, restaurants and food stands; this home is close enough to walk most places and far enough away from the crowds to be quiet and relaxed. Tina was readily available for any little question or concern. We would highly recommend this stand-alone home close to the beach for a family get-away anytime!
We had a wonderful time here with our family of 7. There were plenty of beds for all of us, plus a long dining room table, a comfortable living room, an office, 2.5 baths, and a kitchen that was stocked with every pot, cooking utensil, and place setting you can imagine. We loved taking dips in the hot tub, grilling, and enjoying the sun in the tiny front yard.
The pedestrian street that the house is located on was quiet and only 1/2 block from the beach (if neglected and little trash-strewn) and just one block from the Venice canals. So much to do and see in this up-and-coming neighborhood.
We had to call Tina several times for questions or needs, and she was always super responsive and nice. One time she even sent a relative to personally bring us replacement batteries for the smoke alarm.
We were sad to go -- we felt well-taken care in this sweet house in the one-of-a-kind Venice Beach.
Strolling on the Beach, walking on the Famous Venice Boardwalk, watching sunsets over the Pacific Ocean and exploring the Venice canals. Shopping and dining on Abbott Kinney.
