About Tina Walter

I'm Tina Walter, my sister Lisa and I grew up in this house. We love it and enjoy having guests that will love it too. Mom and Dad bought it from the original owner/builder and we are always making changes and improvements to keep the house fresh, comfortable and enjoyable.

Tina Walter purchased this house in 1976

Why Tina Walter chose Venice

The beach house is quintessential Venice. Built in 1904 when Venice was in it's grand heyday. It's a great way to experience Venice and Los Angeles, in comfort and style.

What makes this house unique

The house is 2 houses from the sand, so swimming and playing on the beach are our favorite pastimes. We like to walk to our favorite local restaurants and people watch on the Venice Boardwalk. The house is great for casual entertaining, the dinning table will seat 12 and we've furnished the kitchen with a lot of dishes and silverware to make sharing our home with your guests a snap.

Oasis in the midst of Venice Beach

  • 5 of 5

We became attached to this charming gem of a property, ideally located near the beach , but away from the noise . The home was well stocked, and pride of ownership was evident, so that it inspires everyone to look after it. Black out blinds would have helped the kiddies sleep In more , but I had no issue waking up with the sun. Beds were comfortable, so I slept well. Circling helicopters are a common occurrence, but again not an issue. We enjoyed the convenience of a super Mexican restaurant take out nearby. The children enjoyed the beach, sand dune, hot tub, and local library. I would be delighted to stay here again, for a family get together. There is history and memory in the walls of this home. Thank you, Tina and Lisa for sharing your treasure. Leila Rader

Owner's Response: You are most welcome. You are so right, we love the beach house and care for it every moment we can. Wish I could do something about the helicopters too! Thanks for staying in and loving our house. See you again I hope. Tina and Lisa

Very nice place

  • 4 of 5

Great location. good facilities. everything works and plenty of supplies. fairly quiet for so close to the beach (2 minute walk). Has a small somewhat shady back patio with a hot tub and grill. Only negative is the (modest) sewage odor (only) in the small front yard.

Exactly as described!

  • 5 of 5

This was the first time I used VRBO and I was kind of nervous about how it would all work out. I am 100% satisfied and would definitely rent the house again! I have to say that the description of this property is spot on. From the second floor master bedroom I could see the beach. It is so close to the beach but not right on the beach so you don’t have homeless people in your front yard. That was my fear about being right on Venice Beach. We rented two vehicles at the same time and there was room for each one on esch side of the garage. It was tight as we had a Lamborghini and a full size SUV - Infiniti QX80, but we were able to back them in to the parking spots. My family loved the hot tub after long days of sightseeing on our feet! The house is very clean and we felt right at home. We had 6 of us and there was extra bedding in one of the bedrooms so we made up the pull out couch in the master for my son. There were also air mattresses if we had extra people. Communication was awesome with the owners. I can’t say enough good things about our experience!

Oh, the beach

  • 5 of 5

This property was almost on the beach and afforded us the opportunity to walk our dog there each morning; it was also close to Abbott-Kinney shopping and restaurants. The master bedroom was spacious and very comfortable. All was glorious, including the fenced-in front and backyard.
