About this property

Our beautiful Chalet is located in the heart of Sun Peaks a short walk to the village. Our property is a True ski in, with runs off the mount Morrisey ski side coming right into our back yard. . A free village shuttle stops across from the house every half hour in ski season 8am-10pm for easy pick up to the village ski area. You will enjoy beautiful views with full windows wrapping around the front of the house and facing Sun peaks ski runs and village. Our home has 4 large bedrooms with a bonus recreational room with Pool table and flat screen TV. An inviting Hot tub on the front deck where you can enjoy a relaxing après ski soak with friends and family while enjoying views of the Mountain and ski runs. Open plan kitchen and living area lends itself to having a wonderful family get together. Kids can take there toboggans behind the house and enjoy sledding in the back yard. We love Sun Peaks and are fortunate to have spent many years at this amazing hill.
Additional notes about the space:
Our home does have a self contained suite in the basement with its own entrance and is private from the house, the suite is quiet with a single tenant.

Spacious home, great amenities

This is a lovely home, with ample space and beds for a large party. Everyone could sit at the table, appreciated the generous amount of dishes- not “just enough! Hot tub was easy to use, great view! Pool table and darts were a fun evening activity. Games, spices, laundry detergent were available, which is a great plus when traveling (though we’d brought our own, not our first rodeo). It’s a ski-in if you are a medium to strong skier. Not a ski-out, but we just drove over, never tried the shuttle (our non-skier was the chauffeur). Location is an easy walk to village on the path. Owner was very responsive when we needed some more paper towels/dishwasher tabs. Overall lovely experience!

Perfect Chalet for multiple family or small group

This property is so well located and has an excellent set up inside too. It was very clean, with the cutest quality bedding and a gorgeous open space with high windows and a great deck. I would highly recommend it for anyone wanting to have an enjoyable stay at Sun Peaks!

Great home for a ski holiday

It's a spacious, nicely furnished home and was very clean. Kitchen is very well stocked. Games room was a hit with the kids. We had a few minor issues but the owner was quick to respond and address them. It's unfortunate the master bedroom is too small to fit a king size bed and property isn't ski out (only ski in). We used the free shuttle that stops across street to get to lifts but we waited a long time for it both mornings. Still a 5 star experience.

Great ski cabin get away

This is a great property- comfortable, well furnished, and offers easy recreation with pool table, hot tub, and convenient access to walking trails and tobogganing. The host was quick to respond and very helpful.

Relaxing and Fun Ski Getaway!

We had such a fantastic time up here! What a breath of fresh air! The mountains were beautiful and we all had a fantastic time on the slopes from the 4-year-old to the 40-year-old! Altitude Chalet is a great place for family! It is very clean, beautifully decorated, and has everything you need! The kitchen was a dream to cook in! The hot tub, pool table, and many games were thoroughly enjoyed! The chalet has very practical ski storage, plenty of places to dry your gear, and it is also very conveniently located - only a 2-minute drive to the parking lot, which made short lunch breaks at home possible!

Family vacation

The chalet was perfect for our annual family ski vacation. We loved the games room, the wide open kitchen and living room and of course the hot tub! Great stay all around.

Loved This House!

Just arrived back in Sydney having had the most amazing trip to Sun Peaks staying at Altitude Chalet! It got off to a great start walking into a beautiful house with amazing views & our children being treated with a chocolate egg hunt set up for their arrival by Carolyn & Dennis - we thought that was a lovely touch. The house was perfect for our family -with three children aged 10, 9 & 6 and an Aunty & Uncle who came along too! We had the perfect amount of space and things to do - games for the kids to play, a pool room with a TV downstairs, a hot tub with THE most incredible views onto the mountains & a lounge room with a great TV for movie nights for days we were burnt out from skiing so much! All of this kept us entertained so we weren’t living on top of each other! All the rooms are comfortable & clean and the main room is a great family room with an open plan well equipped kitchen, dining & lounge room with a nice fire - all looking onto the action on the mountains. Because of this we probably spent more time in at night than out! There is a great drying room downstairs, free bus shuttle stops just outside the house & the village is a short 15 minute stroll away (with kids) if you fancy a walk! Also an easy or testing (your pick!) ski in to the back of the house. The village is hugely family oriented with a few bars and restaurants, a small supermarket & some great well equipped stores for ski gear. We found everyone there to be really accommodating, helpful & friendly. Would defo recommend McSporties & or Jardines for ski gear - both stores couldn’t have been more helpful. Snow quality at Sun Peaks is the best we’ve skied on and the resort is perfect for all abilities with plenty of great runs to enjoy as a family. Carolyn & Dennis were perfect hosts and communications were easy both prior and during our stay. We felt truly welcomed in their house. We absolutely loved the house & Sun Peaks and can’t wait to return!

Great stay, great place

Stayed here with 8 other friends, lots of room for everyone. Owner was very nice and easy to deal with. Location is great, beautiful morning view of the mountains. Pool table and heated floors in the bathrooms are wonderful. Will definetly rent again!

misadvertised property!

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU BOOK THIS PROPERTY! a group of us were looking to rent a place that is ENTIRELY to us and we came across this posting. We booked this property as it was advertised as "entire place" however note that they are actually lying and there is no protection from Homeaway what so ever. we get there and first thing we notice is that the property manager actully lives in the basement. and for those of you who are renting this place, know that there is NO PRIVACY, at 11:30 PM we found the property manager in the living room without even notifying us and told us to talk quietly because he has to work at 6 AM. We didnt feel safe in the house since the guy had the right to come up to our unit anytime to check. So if you are looking for a entire place and privacy, this is not a right choice for you. Misadvertising and violating the traveller's privacy is not something that HomeAway will help you with. one more thing, despite the fact that there is a cleaning fee, if you don't clean all the dishes, vacuum and mob the place, your damage deposit will not be returned to you . forget about the contract you sign that it says any noise companit after 11PM may cost you, we got notice at 8:30 PM and the property owner documented that as part of the cost for damage deposit. I would never book a place with HomeAway anymore because they simply didnt do anything about this fraud. there are lot more to talk about, such as property owner told me she will "kick us out" if there is one more noise complain", but im not going to talk about it. Money was not an issue for me but just note that this place is being misadvertised, there is NO privacy and the owner is far from having good manner and respect for the travellers! Good luck!

Sunny, spacious serentity

Beautiful place with all the amenities of home. Great location within walking distance to village and lifts. Relaxing on the sunny deck and in the hot tub were highlights. Exactly as advertised, will definitely stay there again when in Sun Peaks!

Fairways Chalet, Sun Peaks

We had a lovely time at the Fairways Chalet. The house was large and cozy with plenty of room in the bedrooms and common areas. The beds were comfortable (as well as the pillows, sheets) and it was quiet at night (no noise from the neighbours). The house was clean when we arrived and the kitchen was well supplied. The kids had fun playing pool in the games room and we all enjoyed the hot tub. The shuttle to the mountain picked us up in front of the house which was ideal. We would definitely stay at the Fairways Chalet again.

Great home and great skiing

My family of 7, grandparents, parents, and three grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed our 5 nights at Bear Bottom. The shuttle is nearly across the street and ski in is really convenient. The teenage granddaughters could sleep in and still join us on the mountain by 10 AM. The house is set up ideally for a ski trip. The garage is heated and provides a perfect place to put on/take off ski boots, ski clothing, etc. and have it ready when you need it. The downstairs bedroom and bonus room were great for the teenagers. The open floor plan upstairs provided the comfortable location for meals, socializing, watching TV, and games. The owners are local, attentive, and made sure that everything is meeting your expectations. The hot tube on the balcony with views of the ski slopes is incredible, even when the temperatures are in the teens.

Beautiful, very clean house. Cozy.

This house is beautiful. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. Large table so everyone can eat together. The beds are comfy with lots of space to spread out. The ski/ board storage space is awesome with ample hooks for everyones gear and heaters to dry everything out. Lots of games and the pool table is a bonus. This house is very clean and gives you a cozy at home feeling. The view from the clean well maintained hottub is awesome!! Sunpeaks is an amazing ski resort. Our stay was to short. We will be back to stay here. Owners answer questions quickly and are very friendly.

Two Aussie families travelling around Canada!

Great property maintained well, plenty of room and privacy for two families. The lounge, dining and games room allowed the kids to have there own space while the adults relaxed. The kitchen is well equipped if you choose to prepare meals. Although it wasn’t a ski out property you could easily walk to town, jump in a cab or on the shuttle. The back ski run allows you to ski home and drop off right at the side of the house. Dennis happened to meet us on arrival and with his extensive knowledge of the mountain we were quick to know the best spots to ski. I highly recommend The Bear Bottom Lodge and we will be back! Thankyou

Great place for a family ski vacation!

We just got back from a fabulous week at beautiful Sun Peaks & our second time staying at Bear Bottom Lodge. This wonderful home has become a favorite vacation spot for our family. The house is a short walking distance to the village & an easy ski-in from Mt. Morrisey. Shuttle bus to the village stops right out front of the house. Great views of Mt. Tod from the kitchen, living room & from the hot tub. Kitchen is well equipped & the large table allows for guests to eat together & visit. Lots of board games to enjoy while relaxing in the comfortable living room. Bedrooms & bathrooms are very clean & comfortable with lots of closet space & storage. Kids really like the large bunkbeds & all linens & duvets are cozy. Pool table downstairs is a hit with all ages & we really appreciate the large heated garage to store ski equipment & other belongings. The back of the house is the perfect place to toboggan or snowshoe & easy to locate when skiing in. The hot tub on the front deck is wonderful after a day on the slopes! The owners Carolyn & Dennis are local residents & know the area well. Super friendly & easy to communicate with. They gave us lots of helpful information about the Nordic & alpine skiing, as well as the summer mountain bike scene. We're already looking forward to returning this summer with our bikes and golf clubs!

Nice Home - good hosts

This was a nice home and had all the amenities you could need. The hosts were accommodating and responsive. The only reason I didn't rate 5 stars is that some of the beds were not comfortable otherwise it would be a 5 !

We are residents of both Kamloops and Sunpeaks and have grown up skiing at this mountain for the last 45 years. we have seen the evolution of the mountain from its early days of "Tod Mountain" .

Why they chose this property

We love it here and enjoy Summer and Winter recreation at Sun Peaks. Our family enjoys Mountain Biking and Skiing year round and we have been able to have many great memories here over the years. It has been our dream to own a home at Sun Peaks and we are very lucky to now have this beautiful Chalet to enjoy and share with others.
