Cozy KY Escape with Hot Tub near the Bourbon Trail

Welcome to Four Seasons Cottage on the Bourbon Trail! This charming property is located in a peaceful vacation community, just a short walk from the seasonal pool. Featuring 2 bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and cozy living room with a fireplace, this cottage is perfect for a family getaway or a couples retreat. Enjoy the large deck with a hot tub and BBQ, as well as access to nearby hiking trails and attractions. Cottage 37 sits on a ridge that overlooks the 3,050-acre Taylorsville Lake.

Upon arrival guests are welcomed by a lighted walkway up to the front door. The living room with new couches and lending library is the perfect place to read a book amongst the Flicker of the propane fireplace. A vaulted ceiling ties the living room and kitchen together. In the morning the sun rises over the lake giving the kitchen table the best place to watch the sunrise over Taylorsville Lake. A hallway leads to the main bathroom and guest bedroom. The guest bedroom has a 32-inch TV, a Queen bed, and one trundle bed. The master bedroom and its atmosphere of romance has a King bed and an ensuite bathroom with a soak tub. Off the master bedroom is a large 20 by 14ft deck with a Hot Tub. From the first deck a step-down to a second 10 by 14ft deck with a conversation area and propane fire pit. The view from the deck overlooks Taylorsville Lake and the rolling hills. This property has a No Pet policy.

The Cottage is very comfortable and feels like home. Living/kitchen area is a great place to spend time together. The beds are comfortable. We enjoyed a couple of nights relaxing on the back deck. Just a weekend getaway for our anniversary, this place has been everything we needed and more. Its super clean, peaceful, and relaxing. Great Spring Getaway

Beautiful cabin! We’ve stayed at Edgewater Resort before, but this cabin was beautiful, clean and comfortable! It had everything you need and made you feel special, Especially loved the grill, fire pit, and hot tub. We can’t wait to get back this fall!

Thanks for the review. I wanted to ease your mind and let you know that the filter on the hot tub was not expired during your stay. The filter had just been changed, but the display on the hot tub was not reset to show this. I apologize. As for the spider webs on the front porch, , we clean them off daily during this time of year! They are a nuisance, but harmless. The cottage is surrounded by woods and it is hard to keep the bugs from gathering in the outdoor areas. Thankfully, the inside is bug free! Thanks again for staying with us!

Weekend of Fun on the Bourbon Trail

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was as advertised, very clean and spacious. We loved spending time on the back deck and hot tub. The owners have thought of everything you would need and we really appreciated the added touches such as the coffee and creamers. Definitely would stay here again when checking out more of the Bourbon Trail.

Perfect honeymoon

We came from Illinois and stayed for a week. We absolutely loved it and didn't want to leave! It was perfect. The hot tub is lovely! The deer out here are very curious and don't spook easily, so they wander around all the yards - it's quite awesome!

Beautiful Lake House!

This house is just as advertised. Beautiful home that is clean and spacious with everything you need for a great getaway. Great communication with the owner and easy check in/out. Beds, pillows and linens were super comfy. The resort pool was right around the corner and it was clean and not crowded. Could not have asked for a better place to stay in the area. I highly recommend this home and we will definitely be back!

In 2017, The Weitz Family of Dayton, Ohio; joined the Edgewater Community as the owners of Cottage 37. Carpenters by trade; remodelers by default, they locally own NB Weitz Contracting in Dayton. Armed with an arsenal of skilled trades they commenced work on the cabin starting with the four-season theme. The wall hangings were chosen to mirror Kentucky’s beautiful hills, Derby culture, and the water of Taylorsville Lake.

Why they chose this property

We first vacationed at Edgewater in 2008 and returned many times to enjoy Taylorsville Lake, the Bourbon Trail, and the peacefulness of the area. We have enjoyed all seasons Edgewater and appreciated the differences in activities and beauty of the area. When we decided to purchase our own cottage at Edgewater, we were reminded of all the visits and the differences that the seasons brought to the area. Hence, our "Four Seasons" theme was born.
We are excited to share our love for the area - and our own Four Seasons Cottage!

What makes this property unique

The mood has been set at Cottage 37 by the private owners who wanted a place to escape near a large underdeveloped lake. Recently renovated the interior designers paid tribute to its Kentucky Heritage from the hardware to the lighting. The door handles are unique canova knobbed black edged oil rubbed bronze; and its corresponding fixtures give homage to an old log cabin tucked away in the hills. To further the agenda of creating the perfect vacation environment dark colors of the new furnishings are used to accent the natural oak stained wood. Each light fixture promotes a different mood depending on its utility.
