The Crescent Pearl is one of the finest homes on Cape San Blas. This gorgeous beach home features an amazing natural setting, pristine beaches, in an exclusive, gated community with a private pool. Built for relaxing, entertaining, and personal enjoyment, only the finest materials and craftsmanship were used in the Crescent Pearl. Coupled with the idyllic, secluded location, the Pearl provides a unique, restful experience. Fully refurbished and updated, the Crescent Pearl is one of the finest beach homes on the Forgotten Coast and a wonderful value in light of the quality home, setting, and the experience. This is one to remember, and one to make lifetime memories.
The Crescent Pearl towers above the beach of the lower Cape, among the loblolly pines providing lovely views of the Gulf of Mexico from virtually anywhere in the home. This unique property features walls of glass and large, wrap around screened porches for unfettered enjoyment of the sights, sounds, and smells of one of Florida's most secluded and natural beaches.
The Crescent Pearl offers a gorgeous setting among old growth pines overlooking white sand beaches preserved in their natural state. One of six homes in an exclusive gated community with a private swimming pool, the Crescent Pearl is perfect for coastal living - high ceilings, walls of glass, French doors, and transom windows afford remarkable views of the Gulf of Mexico, and comfortably appointed screened porches for enjoying the sights, sounds, and smells of the coastal breezes. The third story great room comprising the living room, dining room, and kitchen, with a height of roughly 50 feet above sea level, provides a wonderful viewing platform of the Gulf and beaches. The wraparound screen porch is the perfect spot for casual conversation, dining, or relaxing, from which to enjoy the gentle Florida breezes and the fresh, sweet sea air.
Well-appointed, comfortably decorated, the Crescent Pearl offers a pleasant, tranquil environment for its occupants. We choose natural fiber linens, furhishings, draperiers, rugs and travetine stone floors to provide a clean, safe, non-toxic environment for our guest. Custom cherry cabinetry from Oregon, solid wood doors with antique glass knobs salvaged from a New Orleans estate, and travetine floors extending through the home and porches speak to the quality of the home's construction. We think you'll find the Crescent Pearl both comfortable and aesthetically pleasing.
The master suite is large, airy, and inviting. Facing the Gulf of Mexico on the second floor, the master is encased in glass, all windows and French doors. With its own private patio, the master offers gorgeous views of the gulf and soothing sounds of the surf. Tastefully appointed featuring a large oversized bed, rattan chairs and natural fiber textiles for all seat cushions, bedding, window treatments, and rugs. A spa quality master bath lies behind a pocket door, featuring a two-person glass and natural travetine and stone shower, over-sized jacuzzi tub, water closet, and double vanity - a nice way to start or end any day.
The Crescent Pearl's second bedroom suite on the third with a queen bed, ensuite bath, and its own private porch facing St Joseph's Bay. This is the perfect suite for the grandparents, as all the living area is on this floor, eliminating the need for stairclimbing for meals and get togethers with the family.
The bunkroom resides on the second floor, down the hall from the master suite, perfect to tending to small children. The bunkroom features two sets of bunkbeds, one a twin over full, the other twin over twin, accommodating up to five persons. It also has its own private bath, and a private porch facing the bay.
The kitchen was recently updated with new, stainless steel, appliances, freshwater filtration unit, and fully appointed with new stainless flatware, porcelain dinnerware, and new cooking utensils, small appliances, pots and pans to make meal preparation at home a breeze. For days when you prefer to eat out, the area's restaurants and fresh seafood are a great choice of visitors to the area.
There are many fine restaurants close by the Crescent Pearl. Indian Pass, Skully's, The Sandbucket, Peachy's are just a few of the dining options within a few minutes of our home. The fish and seafood are very fresh and well prepared. The area is known for their shrimp and oysters, generally cooked to perfection and very tasty. Casual is the tone for atmosphere and attire, and the purveyors are generally very accommodating and often "colorful." The ambience and environment are reminiscent of the Florida Keys - never a hurry, enjoy the moment, live life through a child's eyes.
The region encompassing Cape San Blas, Indian Pass, Port St Joe, and Appilachicola is known as the "Forgotten Coast" and harkens back to a half-century ago, back before unrestricted development to the west. You won't find any high rise condos here, and there are very few, if any, condos or townhomes on the Cape. Carefully managed development has helped Cape San Blas retain the environment as close to natural as possible. It remains a sanctuary for turtles, birds, and wildlife.
