El sustantivo 'ethir' deriva del antiguo sindarin y significa 'boca de un río'.

Punto San Fransisco, como lo llaman los lugareños, está situado en una roca que domina la playa de Tamarindo a la derecha y tiene la playa de Langosta a su izquierda. Tiene acceso directo a la playa en frente de la villa a la playa Tamarindo y a la playa Langosta, que es la parte más alta de Tamarindo.

Bert our host reached out 4 days prior to our arrival. He provided all the necessary instructions to make our arrival by rental car go smoothly. We enjoyed use the private pool. Beach access through a secure gate added another level of security that provided some peace of mind.

Incredible host

Apart from the fact that the place that we stayed was absolutely incredible as far as location to beaches, restaurants activities. Our host was absolutely amazing. Bert knew all the good places how to get us in where we can get discounts and was very friendly and helpful at all times. We had a great time and will return. Thanks Bert.

Our stay at this vacation rental in Costa Rica was a dream come true. The property was immaculate, with breathtaking views of lush greenery and the ocean. Relaxing getaway

Bert was very helpful with checkin instructions and recommendations of places to check out. I was solo and felt very safe. Beautiful pool on location, steps from the beach and a 5ish minute Uber ride into downtown, can’t beat it!

From the outset our host Bert was excellent. Any request was handled quickly and pleasantly. The location and accessibility to both Playa Langosta and Tamarindo was. Major feature Sofias Restaurant is a must.

Located in beautiful Langosta in a gated community. Our hosts were warm, friendly and gracious. The Casita was perfect and the pool stunning. It is located 2 mins from both Tamarindo and Langosta beaches. Highly recommend.

A wonderfully welcoming stay!!

We loved our trip to Tamarindo, Bert is the most welcoming host we have encountered during our trip to Costa Rica and went over and above to make sure we felt at home and had a wonderful time. We ate at several of Bert’s recommendation - trust the expert here!!! The location is absolutely perfect, away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre but a perfect walk either down the road or along the most beautiful beach. It is SO close to the beach which is fantastic, and the property itself is pristine, modern and beautiful.

Sweet Stay!

We loved staying here at Playa Longosta, the host/owner Bert was very accommodating as my VRBO app was not working properly upon arrival, which can be so nerve-racking. Bert walked us through all the steps to get to his charming studio with refreshing pool and beach access. In addition, he gave us recommendations to special spots to dine around, and they were spot-on and created forever lovely memories. We look forward to coming back to this magical place.

The location and property are just perfect. Owner is incredibly helpful, kind and flexible- I could not have asked for a better host. The location is an easy 10 min walk down the beach to town, and easy access to playas Tamarindo and Langosta. I am so sad to leave- what an amazing place.

Bert was one of the best hostess we’ve come across on our travels. The location was perfect, just far enough outside Tamarindo, yet still close enough. The room was great for two with high end finishes and enough features for our short stay. Highly recommend this property

Sweet spot for quick getaway

Secluded (in Tamarindo terms), beautiful night sky without the dust, traffic, lights and noise of downtown. We didn't need a car at all but a golf cart might be good if planning to spend more than a few days. Easy shuttle from Liberia airport right to the property and back again. 15min walk to all the restaurants and shops downtown. 10 min walk on the beach to Langosta beach club and Ocho restaurant (pricey food and drinks, but good swimming areas on the tamarindo side). 5 min walk on the beach to Sueno del mar BnB (awesome 3 course breakfast spot serving the public from 7-11am on the Langosta side). Keep walking at low tide for beautiful shells and cross over the estuary into national park. Back at "home" the property is well cared for. The pool is delightful for cooling off any time day or night. King bed and AC made sleeping super comfortable. The description is accurate (mini fridge and k-cup coffee maker). The amenities list is a bit misleading though. If you'd like to use laundry, microwave, dishwasher, or have dishes on hand you'll need to ask/ borrow from the owner. Bert was very gracious about all requests and even picked up a few things at the grocery store for us the first night. We throughly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend this place for couples looking for a simple relaxing getaway. Pure Vida!

Perfect spot in Tamarindo!

We were in Tamarindo for a wedding, and this place was wonderful. Bert made everything super seamless, and we felt right at home. This home is located in a gated area only 30 seconds from the beach. It is perfect for a couple or solo traveler who plans to explore the area. The space is quaint and cozy, but has everything you need if you are planning on eating out for meals. We ended up not renting a golf cart, and just walked to Tamarindo for food and fun. This place is ideal and beautiful!

Perfect Trip!

The property was perfect! It was amazing to get to stay in such a high end neighborhood and Villa without needing to pay for more beds/space than I needed. The location was an excellent launching point for a day or night out in town accessible by a quick walk down one of two beaches or road. In the other direction there is another beach that leads to a river mouth and turtle sanctuary. The studio was spacious and comfortable. Loved having access to the Villa’s private pool, parking and nearby beaches. Joah was a great host and was able to provide insider advise and help setting up activities!

Great Little Place
