Stone Harbour Villa is located ten minutes west of Ocho Rios, Jamaica, on beautiful Old Fort Bay. This fantastic, artistic Caribbean home allows visitors to swim in the blue-green water of the sea, sun on sandy beach, snorkel reefs only meters from its private cove, or paddle out to watch a vivid sunset in sea kayaks. Stone Harbour is also dedicated to those visitors who want more than a week of sun and sand, inviting guests to experience the ecosystems, history, economy, sports, and cuisine of this remarkable island.
Outdoors the lawn is split into two levels. On the upper level along with the main villa is a broad expanse of grass, perfect for lawn games. On the lower level is the pool and a cottage that houses the pool cabana downstairs and the “Getaway” suite upstairs. The pool cabana has its own serving bar, bar chairs with tables and a powder room. Outside the cabana is an outdoor shower and a barbecue. Enjoy the garden hammock at Stone Harbour
Gazebo near the pool for massages.Our staff of full-time manager/butler, cook, housekeeper, and gardener is courteous, professional, filled with life and humor, and ready to answer all your questions about the island and culture. This place is amazing! The location is perfect, near activities, and also on a beautiful fairly quiet bay with crystal blue water. The house is very well stocked and has kayaks, paddle boards, and an amazing staff who kept the entire family fed and entertained! The owner is very communicative and helpful as well. This was one of the most relaxing trips I have ever had! I would definitely return again!

Perfect spot to relax

As other reviewers describe, this is an amazing property, with very comfortable accommodations. We were a group of four, but eight would be comfortable. Lots of seating, great design, unbeatable proximity to a peaceful beach. The surprise for us, however, was the quality of service and the food in particular. Yvonne served up one restaurant quality dish after another, and Tony made us feel like we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Great stay and worth the price.

Heaven on earth!

From the beautiful home and all of it’s amenities to the pool overlooking the stunning ocean, the beach, and most importantly the amazing staff who took care of us like royalty, we found it hard to say good-bye. Our hosts Gabriella and John also made our first trip to Jamaica seem less and so memorable!

Quiet house on the beach

We had a fantastic time staying at this property! The amenities and conditions of the property were as advertised, but we very much enjoyed getting to know the staff that has been working at this property for many years. Our only issue was trying to find the villa upon check-in, as the front security gate requires the villa name, and the map on the listing doesn't really give the exact location. Other than that, we would love to come back and visit Jamaica again!

Family Trip to our favourite island

I was looking for a place close to Laughing Waters where I was attending a wedding. Host responded very quickly to confirm the proximity of the villa to this location. Everything about Stone Harbour villa and the host and staff were exceptional. Host always responded quickly when contacted and kept in touch. Staff at the villa provided great meals, great housekeeping, and lovely grounds and gardens. We have been to other villas and rate Stone Harbour as the best in all ways. Thanks to everyone from our family to the Stone Harbour family.

Memorable!!!

The view of the ocean, the private swimming cove and the pool were all magnificent. But it was the staff that made our stay extra special. Tony the house manager was genuinely caring and professional. Yvonne’s cooking was superb. Suzette kept everything so crisp, clean and inviting. Mr. Second had everything outside prepared for the beach or pool. We felt very safe and well taken care of. Will definitely be back!!!

Fantastic

This property is fantastic… Located approximately an hour and a half from Montego bay airport and two hours from Kingston airport. It situated five minutes from Ocho Rios in a private gated community. The property itself is spectacular. The views are incredible. The staff is wonderful and accommodating. We traveled with a family consisting of two teens, two children and an infant, along with the grandparents. Everybody had a wonderful time they were enough activities to keep us busy doing one or two things a day for an entire week and all the staff was helpful in keeping us on track and getting out the door on time I would highly recommend this property and I’m picky. It’s important to note in the main house. There are three bedrooms in the main house and over the pool house is another bedroom. Air condition worked lovely and all the bedrooms and everything was well-maintained.

Stone Harbour - truly Heaven on Earth

A huge thank you to John and Gabby for sharing with us a piece of heaven on earth as we stayed at their wonderful place at Stone Harbour. When we began planning our vacation to Jamaica many months prior, John and Gabby were so willing to talk to me and help me with planning and educating me about Jamaica and its rich culture so that I could provide experiences of a lifetime for my family. Also, thank you to their staff - Delma, Tony, Annette, and Second. They were all so courteous and kind to us. Delma cooked the most amazing meals. She was so helpful in coming up with a menu that catered to our likes and incorporated the taste of Jamaica. Tony was so kind and gracious serving us and making sure our needs were met. Annette kept the place looking clean and organized. Second, with his green thumb, kept the grounds looking amazing. And, to the security staff at night that made us always feel safe. We are an active family who loves to experience the culture, food, people, and activities wherever our vacations take us. Stone Harbour is the perfect place and location that afforded us to have experiences of a life-time in Jamaica – swimming at the blue luminous lagoon, scuba diving to a sunken ship, snorkeling at well-preserved reefs, horseback riding in the ocean, climbing up Dunns River Falls, jumping off the side into the Blue Hole river, exploring the rich culture in Kingston, and swimming at the nearby laughing waters – a hidden gem that John told us we could not leave without going there and seeing for ourselves. It was the gem on top of all the experiences we had leading up to that point, and our last one before we left Jamaica. Amidst all the fun activities we did, we were so fortunate to come to a place so serine and paradisical as Stone Harbour … to be able to relax at the pool or jacuzzi that were perfect in temperature and right next to the ocean, and rest in the most comfortable accommodations … Stone Harbour is truly Heaven on Earth. Can’t Wait to Return to Stone Harbour

Stone Harbour grounds and ocean front views were spectacular. Gabriela was great at responding and very accommodating in making the stay superb. Mr. Second, the groundskeeper does a great job in maintain the grounds. The food was great. Ms. Delma made a variety of delicious dishes. She truly has a gift of preparing delicious Jamaican cuisines. Mr. Tony went above and beyond in ensuring we were comfortable. He arranged a beautiful scenic dinner for us every night. Ms. Sherryann was always seen with a warm smile. She ensure our rooms was neat, tidy and refreshing. Mr. Tony, Ms. Delma & Ms. Sherryann all made our stay unforgettable! The staff was extraordinary; beyond anything we could have expected. They are truly exceptional. Mr. Second, Ms. Delma, Ms. Sherryann, and Mr. Tony are absolute gems. We have stayed in the house numerous times. We always return because of the beauty, comfort, privacy and wonderful staff. It has everything needed to relax and not worry about a thing while you are cooked the foods of your choice and pampered.

Brilliant trip in paradise

We absolutely loved our vacation at Stone Harbour. It was complete paradise and all the staff were brilliant at attending to our every need. Stone harbour is in a great location and has everything you need for pure relaxation. A couple of points for consideration for future guests are that there are some barking dogs in the property next door and whilst I know that Stone Harbour’s owners are not able to do anything about this it does somewhat spoil the tranquility at times. Another point to mention is that the WiFi signal in the villa can drop off at times in rooms away from the router. Overall though, we had a very pleasant stay and really enjoyed ourselves. Thank you!

The staff was courteous and caring and the property was clean and nice and it was a great getaway for the family. Traveled with 2 teens and 2 babies and we never left the property the entire trip. Fishing, kayaking, boogie boarding, hot tub, pool, everything was nice. Food was great every night and there is always someone there to take care of you. I would have liked to have stayed about 3 more days. Communication was great and I have no complaints. If you are looking to relax somewhere in Jamaica with your family and have your needs catered to - this is the place to stay.

Incredible time at Stone Harbor!

We had read the reviews; over and over. We hoped the experience would be close to that described in numerous glowing memories of Stone Harbor from recent guests, but were certain that it could not meet our lofty hopes. We were wrong. We echo the feelings of those who came before us - the site, the home, the accommodations, the food, and the staff were all incredible. Standing out most of all during our beautiful week, however, was the staff. Delma's thoughtfulness and amazing (and varied) cooking, her willingness to keep certain dietary preferences in mind (for example, I like my eggs without runny-ness while the rest of my group was the opposite - and she cooked both, even in limited quantities!), and her protectiveness of the group and the property were all noteworthy! Our lovely housekeeper and Second kept things running and even took us on a side excursion to a local waterfall down the beach. Finally, Mr. Tony was everything everyone said he is - kind, servant-hearted, and the hardest worker I've seen in a long time - he kept the property ready for us as soon as we awoke, stayed up after all of us to clean up what we had not (as well as close up), kept the coolers stocked and even made more rum punch when we were sure we were all out! We felt safe and cared for the entire week, settling into a routine quickly that is hard to get out of upon returning to "real life" (where are our 9 am breakfast bell or the afternoon "cocktails"?!). If you are considering this property, book it. If you are on the fence about the cost-effectiveness, stop thinking and book it. While food was slightly more expensive than I planned, it was almost always one of the best meals I'd ever eaten and there was ALWAYS plenty. When stacked against a similar sized and located all-inclusive, you will not match the price, the level of service, the location, and the personal and private atmosphere that you feel within Stone Harbor's gates. We hope to return again soon.

Where to begin !!! The grounds of Stone Harbour are beyond beautiful!!! Pictures do not so it justice !!! Second keeps it looking prestine, not a blade of grass out of place. Our staff spoiled us everyday. Ms. Delma can cook like no other and every meal was delicious. Ask for fresh lobster, melts in your mouth. So tender and delectable !! Ms. B kept the house and our rooms spotless, thank you !! Mr. Tony was a delight as well, kept our coolers stocked with red stripe and anything else we asked for, his rum punch is tasty. We will never forget our stay at Stone Harbour and look forward to our next visit. Made many wonderful memories with our kids we will never forget. Jamaica is a happy place with happy people !! AMAZING!!!!

We spent a week here over Christmas and it was fantastic! It greatly exceeded out expectations. The property was beautiful, incredibly well maintained, and spacious. You can't beat the location....pool, hot tub and ocean all right in your backyard. We used the pool house every day and my daughter and son-in-law enjoyed sleeping in the bedroom above it. The views were amazing! I can't say enough great things about the staff. This was true luxury for us. Delma is a phenomenal cook! Make sure you try her jerk chicken and lime pie. Honestly, anything she makes is amazing! We would talk with her to decide what we wanted, she would shop and bring us back the receipts to reimburse her (take cash). She was also able to pick us up adult beverages, which was great. We wanted to take her home with us! Tony, the butler, had coffee ready for us before we even came out of our room. Every day he had towels and cushions on the pool chairs, took care of all meals, brought us a cooler of drinks by the pool, set up music and much more; all without us having to even ask. He stays on the property 24/7. Beryl kept the house incredibly clean and even put pitchers of water next to our beds at night. The groundskeeper, Second, was also great. He kept the yard meticulously tended, cut down fresh coconuts for us and took us on a walk to the Laughing Waters. He has been with the property for 18 years and is a gem! We very much enjoyed chatting with him. All the staff has been with the house for years and it shows. They truly care about it and the guests and were all so welcoming and professional. We tipped them well at the end of the week (again- take cash). There was also a security guard that came every night. The only small frustration was that the house next door had two dogs that barked regularly. We understand that the owner and staff have zero control over this. We took an excursion to the Blue Hole and I would recommend it if you are good swimmers and in good physical health (this is not for young kids, the elderly, or anyone with mobility issues). It's a longer drive than Dunns River Falls but worth it. Take water shoes! It started with a hike uphill about 20 minutes. Then we got to swim in waterfalls and jump off cliffs of varying heights into clear blue spring fed waters. It was amazing! Take a waterproof phone case to get some great pictures. Go early in the morning to avoid crowds. We would highly recommend this property and would love to go back!

Who said heaven on earth does not exist???

My family and I spent four amazing nights at Stone Harbour and we collectively had only one complaint: The time was way too short! From the moment we arrived on the property, we were made to feel like royalty from the ever attentive staff - Tony, Ms B, "Second"...you guys are now like family! We had seen the property a few years ago and were blown away by the recent renovations. It was lovely before but now, it is simply awesome! The kids were kept occupied with the kayaks, shuffleboard and boogie boards while my wife and I practically lived in the water and in the hammock. We highly recommend Stone Harbour to anyone looking for the perfect beach getaway in paradise and we are already counting the days until we return.

Relaxing directly on the Caribbean Sea, while being waited on by friendly staff..What's not to love?

Stone Harbour is a cottage style villa, with the amenities of a mansion. The Chef, Delma and the Butler, Tony were so eager to help, nothing ever seemed too much... and at all times their efforts seemed nothing but genuine. Meals (our request was traditional Jamaican food which is delicious) served on the veranda with direct views of the Caribbean Sea, and vintage reggae playing in the background every day. Second (the gardener) picked coconuts from the property and fresh coconut water and jelly was almost "on tap". With the shuttle board, boogie boards (the nearby beach has gentle waves), kayaks and snorkels available on the private beach/cove, the kids were happily occupied all day everyday, which gave me a chance to hang out in the hammock!! A truly relaxing vacation with a staff that were only too happy to take care of absolutely everything, leaving nothing to stress about. A true holiday, for the entire family.
