Book your Perfect Private Beach Get Away!

Lake Effect is a gorgeous, completely remodeled three bedroom, two bath beach home with expansive sunset views of Lake Michigan and Fox Island. Our home has a chef quality fully stocked kitchen with stainless appliances, wine cooler and granite countertops. There is a wood stove and a beach fire pit. A very large deck running the length of the home with a wood walkway to you own private beach (100 ft). Wood floors, tempurpedic beds and high quality finishes with luxurious bedding make your get away perfect!

Located one mile south of the lighthouse on the very tip of the Leelanau Peninsula, you are welcomed by nature, dunes, hiking trails and of course water. Our home is approximately 6 miles north of the Village of Northport. Enjoy hiking, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, tennis and golf in town and visiting all the wineries and unique shops on the peninsula.

Beautiful home. They took a lot of time and thought into their decor and remodel. The decor was as amazing as the view. Very peaceful and quiet and the owners were on the spot if needed. So relaxing sitting on the huge deck with a book and the sounds of birds and waves. All I can say is thank you for sharing your home.

Lovely escape

The house & property are beautifu, quiet, and very very comfortable. Loved the gorgeous lake view and the privacy. The trade-off is limited cell service and the need to drive for any activities. It's 10 min to Northport , but 30 min to Sutton's Bay and 50 min to Traverse City. Highly recommend visiting shops (including The Rock Shop) in Northport. Best food (breakfast & lunch only) is at New Bohemian cafe! Thanks again to our hosts.

The house was very comfortable. The bed and linens were good quality and the kitchen was nicely stocked. The beach is close, in nice condition and very private. Amazing sunsets every night. The hosts were also very responsive. Overall a great experience and would recommend.

We celebrated Thanksgiving at this lovely house on Cathead Bay. The wintry weather added to the magic of this amazing spot looking right out at Lake Michigan. The kitchen had all we needed and more. All bedrooms were comfortable. Short walk on a boardwalk from the house to the beach. Would love to return!

Perfect escape

The property is 15 min from the town of Northport, quiet, and private. The house has the most beautiful view of cathead bay and a private beach. It accommodates 3 couples nicely with 2 bedrooms and bath downstairs, and one bedroom and bath upstairs. The house has lovely, comfortable furniture, a well stocked kitchen, and outdoor equipment such as kayaks and bikes. We loved our stay!
